TouchFLO 3D Programs issue... - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

I am new to touchflo and touchscreens in general, so please forgive me if there is an easy fix to this.
Is there a way to reorganize the apps in TouchFLO 3D's program menu?
It seems to me all that I can do is add and delete. Doing that results in add (+) holes in the menu, which is just unsightly. I haven't been able to drag any icons from one spot to another.

Sadly, it doesn't seem there is a way to drag and drop the icons. The only real option is to manually add items that are lower on the menu to the empty buttons and then remove the originals. Seems like a rather silly oversight in my opinion.

Thanks for the heads up. That does seem to be quite the oversight.

Any way to add "recent programs" to the home screen for WM6.1 "sliding panels"?

Any way to add "recent programs" to the home screen for WM6.1 "sliding panels"?
Hey, folks! 1st time post here (I think!)
Anyhow, I upgrade my Dash to the Kavana WM6.1 ROM last week. I *really* like the sliding panels home screen layout. Super useful, if you ask me! I was wondering, though, if anyone knew how to add "Recent Programs" as on of the sliding panel plugins? I've opened the "SlidingPanel.home.xml" file and found the plugins section for the home screen order. It has...
<Plugins Order="CClock;CHome;CAppointments;CWelcomeCenter;CWindowsLive;Settings" />
So...I'm assuming that there might be some plugin like "CRecentPrograms" that I can add. Does anyone know what the plugin would be, or info on how to get the Recent Programs in there, if possible?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, there's nothing like that available right now. The next best thing is creating a panel with your most used applications. Search around here a little bit and you'll find it.
That is a good idea, however. Does anyone know how the MRU lists works? where it is stored, how it is called? Perhaps we could cobble it together.

I think its stored in the registry under the shell - I will look for the key later
I'd agree that this would be nice to have. Really the only thing I miss about WM6.0. I'll poke around and see if I can find it as well.
The data is stored under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Shell\StartMRU
I'm not sure what to do with it from there though as far as creating a panel/plugin for it. If anyone could point me in a direction I'm willing to try to do it.
I would love to have this plug-in as well.
You do realize that depending on where you try and put that in the home screen, your one button click away from your recent programs list in wm6.1? Otherwise you'd be 4 to 5 clicks if you added a panel to the home screen.

That's true, of course, but it's what I prefer. I had the "Recent Programs" on my home screen in WM5.0 and WM6.0, and would like it back while still keeping the *wonderful* sliding panels UI.
Also, I would really prefer to have "All Programs" be the default when I hit the Start menu button. I know I can do that now, but then I lost the Recent Programs feature altogether.
Someone raised a good point, though: is there a way to create a home screen "panel" that features a handful of links to programs that I specify? That might actually be better, in my case.

I would try too if I knew where to get info on the new plugin system (the CHome thingy). Does anyone know? I can't find any doccos
MRU is one click away in 6.1 lol

Thank you, that's been mentioned before in this thread. It could also be one click away on the home screen, depending on where the panel is located. At worst, you wouldn't have to use it.
IMO, it's not that much different than having the CLinks on there, except instead of it being static, it's dynamic. I think it's worthwhile to have on the home screen if possible.

I'm not fussed about the recent programs how do I get All Programs come up when I hit the Start Menu Button?
nevermind I'm an idiot.

Extra things on the today screen

Hey guys,
been looking around about customising my Touch HD but a little unsure if a different theme can help me here, I really like the current theme I have; which is just default with some extra taskbar icons; simple but effective!
Thing is I want to add notes or reminders or something to the today screen, so I can view things at a glance without having to add them to the calendar, things like a reminder to pick up some beers on the way home, or a reminder to go post some letters or even a shopping list! Though I'm pretty sure I saw an app somewhere around that was called shopping list, would ideally like to be able to dismiss reminders etc by touching them then confirming or something similar, so I can check stuff off as I've done it easily..... at the moment I only have Call history and Calendar on the today screen; anyone know of a way to edit what is displayed on the today screen?
EDIT: I just realised this makes me sound a complete moron lol, I mean being able to add things to the TF3D today screen, otherwise i'd just use the winmo version, however I really like the touchflo interface just wish there was more customisation available!
Also if I download an iphone theme (just to confuse the mac fanboys at uni...) can I easily switch between that and my current theme after a soft reset or something? Or does it involve me editing it via the activesync?
Hope someone can help!
It might be better for you to install something like second today or touchflo detacher.. that way you can switch between touchflo and your iphone theme at the touch of a button..
or you can use the second today to put all the information you want on the winmo today screen.. the screen real estate on the HD is amazing.. and then map your iphone theme to another program and have all three hotswapping on the touch of a button.
Personally I think part of the beauty of touchflo is the lack of clutter on each tab.. adding too much to the homescreen defeats the object.

Agreed. I use 2ndToday & PocketBreeze, activated by the left soft key on the TF3D home page.
hmmm did want to just have it all there to be seen as soon as I turned on the phone, tho after reading more extensively around the internet I see it's just not possible at the moment. However I'll hold out hope that one day it'll be possible!
Might try that 2nd today screen thing, might be a bit of a pain to have to flip between them but hey... needs must. Might also look into properly customizing it to look snazzy as I've seen a lot of peoples today screens look rather nice!
In practice it's not a pain... it's a touch screen so it becomes habit to touch the button or slide the slider as you pick up your phone in one motion.
I did have a go with slide2unlock but it didnt seem to work properly, might have to play with it some more.

[REQ]Skinning the scroll bars

Hi Guys, not even sure if this is possible, but can the WiMo scroll bars be skinned? I'm referring to the arrows and the bar itself.
I notice that the 6.5 scroll bars and arrows are different to 6.1, but is this "controllable" and can we change it ourself? If it is possible, what files would I need to change?
already tried such a way and there is no easy path about it. meaning there is no software or whateverware that allows you to do such thing. the only option available today is the one of changing system colors (you know like in normal pc's window background etc) and it does not even work well. I guess that a small proggie that behaves like fingermenu would do the trick...

yeah, I didn't think there would be a software program to do it, was wondering if there's any .dll to embed the images or reg key to change it... Similar to how programs like KiteOS can change the scroll bars on desktop Windows to look like the Aqua theme bars...
Then again, given that TouchFLO is supposed to be usable instead of the scroll bar, I could just set the width to zero in registry and be done with them...
tried aswell but unfortunately this is not the best option... you will actually needed those sucky things sometime (for dropdown menus mainly, if the amount of choices is more lines than displayable, scrolling to the end is a difficult task...)

TouchFlo3D All Programs list not sorted properly

Hi All,
I got my TP2 at the weekend, and am very impressed - I've moved across from my Palm Treo 650, and am pleasantly surprised by how good WM6.1 is.
I have one problem - while fiddling at the weekend, I turned off TouchFlo3d and while it was off I installed a couple of apps (iSilo and eReader). When I reenabled TF3D, these two apps appeared at the bottom of the "All Programs" list in TF3D, rather than being in alphabetical order. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling them with TF3D running, but they won't budge from the bottom of the list.
Before I hard reset and start again from scratch, is there a config file or a registry setting I can manually hack to put these in their rightful place in the menu order?
Many thanks in advance,
Simon
PS Has anyone else noticed that you can use the magnet in the supplied pouch to fool the keyboard slide switch? With the TP2 asleep, touch the USB port on the bottom against the HTC logo on the flap of the case - best thing is to put the case flat on the desk, and then lower the TP2 vertically towards it. Watch as the TP2 comes on and rotates its display...
Locate the program. Then copy the program by: tap-holding the program and selecting copy.
Then you go to the following map: windows/startmenu.
Then past Shortcut there by tap-holding again and choose: paste shortcut.
Sorry - that doesn't fix it. The shortcuts are already present in Windows\Start Menu, so pasting them in again has no effect. The problem is the order in which the programs are displayed in the All Programs menu, which I suspect is controlled by a registry setting or a config file somewhere.
The last programs start with a small letter, the rest starts with a capitol.
Just change the first letter in a capitol, and it will sort correctly.
Ah - that sounds very promising! I'll give it a try...
That totally did the trick! Thanks!
I had the same question, thanks for posting this!
double listing in All Programs
I had the same problem (eWallet - changed to EWallet and it sorted properly).
I have another problem though. While moving things in my Start Menu into folders, I ended up with Abode Reader listed twice in the All Programs menu. How can I remedy this?
You guys are great - thanks for all the help!

notifications on Manila home tab

One of things I've always wanted to do to Manila is remove the SMS and Email tabs in favor of having them appear on the Home tab.
When I get a new SMS, I miss being able to see a little "1" pop up on my messaging icon, and being to click it to jump right into pocket outlook and start my threaded conversation. (Right now, I have to slide over to the tab, read it in an admittedly eye candy scrolling fashion, often flicking back a couple of messages to remember what I was talking about, then click to open up HTC's messaging application. Its more clicks and swipes than I think necessary.)
I like that 2.5 lets you place shortcuts on the bottom of the home panel (finally), so I was considering making those shortcuts to SMS and Email and removing the tabs, but then I realized I'd be losing the notifications.
I'm still looking up and reading about Manila customization, and I think this should be possible... can anyone with some knowledge on the subject point me in the right direction?
Do I need to edit the home mode9 file?
Do I need to learn LUA?
Do I need both?
