All of the ROMs you will find on this site are valid and the ones on the top of the WM6.1 forum section are the latest/popular choices. The ROMs developed and available on this site had been tested by developers and users, you can read their comments on any issues or problems within each thread dedicated to a particular ROM. You will see many different options available, the choice on which ROM is best for you and meets your needs best, however, is yours to make.
Before you begin, I suggest reading Wiki, it contains all the necessary information regarding flashing of ROMs and correct procedures that will help you avoid any problems while doing so.
Best of luck

It's great to see that WM6 ROMS for Trinity are now available in many languages. Thanks to all those working hard to bring so much pleasure to so many.
However, on the Wiki, there is a page, updateable by all that details all available ROM versions for the Trinity.
While I think anyone really looking will find them - A request to please update this page with your ROM versions so that it is complete. If nobody does this - the hard work put in by others to collate information in one place is lost - and that's not nice
So please update this page: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Trinity_Upgrades whenever you post details of a new Trinity ROM.
Apart from the usual suspects LVSW and mUn, Ausdim is the only one to update this page with his WM6 Greek ROM. Come on you Italians, Germans, Portugese, French....
Thanx
You do realise that you can update the wiki yourself? That is why it is called a wiki...
I think he knows it, but asks for ROM authors to do this themselves

I think the authors do enough for us already. it the initial poster just kept an eye on the forum here he would know the updated versions.
currently i have the official ATT WM6 rom installed and idk if its just me or not but it seems slow as hell roughly the same speed that my old wing was and the 8525 is double the speed
can i just install a custom rom ontop of the att one or how does this all work exactly? I already cid and sim unlocked my 8525
In your guys opinion whats the best 8525 rom to use? thanks for your time and help
You can check the ROM benchmarks thread (link is in my signature). Safe bets are Schap's, TNT, VP3G, these guys were around for long time - if you are more adventurous soul you can try other ROMs as well. Do not be lazy and search about these ROMs advantages/disadvantages in their threads. It will pay off (my own experience). Welcome to Hermes forum!
I'll second KarhU's welcome...
I'll also second his choice of Roms....
I'll also second his advice not to be lazy.....
Which Rom works for one person doesn't always work for someone else... VP3G's Roms are great, but not so good for me - my choice is Schaps - before his (her?) great Roms I loved the Black Roms which were a toss up with Custel's... before that I waited up all night for Kyphur's creations... See the pattern? The only way to get the best Rom for you is to try them.
And remember - the latest isn't always the best so try some earlier roms, read the threads and apply the patches/fixes - most recent Roms are good (I have a few more to try such as TNT etc)
BUT no one will tell you which is best for you - it's kind of like choosing a woman - right speed, wrong colour
where can i find all of these roms exactly?

I provide links to many Hermes WM6 ROMs in my Benchmark thread. Link is in my signature.
Hi.
A while ago I upgraded my WM5 Rom on my "I-Mate JasJam" to "Shamanix Grass"
As I've had several issues with this Rom I'd just like to start fresh with a new one.
However, I need it to do the following
* Stream Video and Audio from websites (such as planet 3)
* Have only the essential tools (No games etc)
* Operate fast
* Have the GPS console
So I've heard. The best cooked Rom is "Black Satin". Is this correct?
I also read a while ago there was a program you can install to prevent "bricking" your PDA whilst re-flashing the OS. May I also have the link for that.
A few months ago I did see a thread with Every single WM6 Cooked Rom Build, But I can't seem to find it now (not in the stickies)
Anyway, Help is much appreciated.
Thanks
1) You want to install HardSPL.
2) the "best" ROM will differ by anyones standards, likes and tastes. Good luck trialling lots of ROMs and see which one you like the best.
Read the Wiki and go through Mr. Vanx'z guides first. That helped me out alot when I first got started with this stuff.
Ok cheers.
So HardSPL is the program that prevents "bricking" my PDA?
And in that case what rom would you recomend providing it can do what I've stated?

Yes to u'r hardspl question!
Only u can choose the rom thats right for u'r exspectations, device, etc... But if u don't want to study, then try CRC's (non big storage) which he puts' a lot of quality control in! good luck...
hi i am new to this scene although i have been hacking devices for several years so am not a complete N00b. I just want to know if i have got the right idea here:
I follow this guide: http://modmydiamond.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=26
With this hardspl (v1.24): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408621
This Radio Rom (v1.00.25.05): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407956
And this rom: http://www.duttythroy.net/download-area.html?task=view.download&cid=149
Is this right? Will this upgrade run smoothly with these options? Also i have not yet recieved my fone, will do in the next few days, it is an Upgrade from Orange UK. Will all this run smoothly on my fone? Or does it depend upon product versions etc of the software/hardware on my fone? Its just that i have been reading around all the info and have noticed that sometimes it does matter.
Thanks for any help,
James
once u hard-spl u can flash any radio and rom. not necessarily just those two.
make sure its hard-spl DEVELOPER edition.not SIGNED edition
Yep i know that but i think those are the recommended radio and hardspl for the dutty rom i have chosen.
Thanks.

If you just want to flash Dutty's ROM, those choices are OK and will work.
I tested/used a lot of Dutty's ROM's and I can say that they are solid and decent ROM's but not the fastest (fast enough though )
Read the WIKI
There's alot of Topics on radio rom's posted in the wiki
Peace
Mike
Maybe my experience helps:

Hi, i dont mean to sound stupid and annoy you but can a few of you tell me which are the best roms for performance/features? I have read the wikis and guides, however there are too many different roms, and the guides do not fully explain the benefits of each one.
Thanks, i was gonna go with dutty's as i thought it was the most popular?

Hi,
I've been through several ROM lists on these HTC Uni forums, as well as the wiki.
Unfortunately, almost all of the ROM listings are fail (most with dead download links, some with bad CRCs, some with time-bombed betas, some that simply don't work eg hang on restart and so on. Less than 5% of the listed ROMs are actually usable.
Can anyone point me to an up-to-date list of currently available ROMs, with live download links?
Thanks in advance

You are more than welcome to do so!
When I posted my thread there was nothing as a compiling thread, Jonny also made a great job with his free apps thread!
I invited the ones who created the newer ROM list to be a part of mine as to have only ONE reference for all Universal stuff and also it is covering more than just only ROM´s, but nothing happened...
So, be my guest
yeah i might do, although it takes ages to upload the ROMs to the server,
my beta took 20minuets... which is strange coz it should have taken 1-5 mins...

Thanks for that.
However, all the explicitly WM6.1 ROMs have broken filebox links.
I'm interested in trying out some WM6.1 ROMs, to see if TCPMP can run on WM6.1. It definitely does not run on WM6.5, which is a bit of a dealbreaker. TCPMP (including its you tube/mobytube plugins) is one app I definitely can't do without.
Cheers
David
again, not hard to find
look in ROM Development, Cooked ROMs is even stickied. Please try and read or do a bit of search as many people are asking the same questions again and again - which is why we sticky important threads, and why we have a Wiki (see my sig)
