green/orange LED flash - Hero, G2 Touch Android Development

Hi there,
I have rooted my G2 with MCR 2.3 and using android-wifi-tether.
I have been using the tether connected via wifi to my notebook AND G2 is plugged into my laptop charging, for a few hours straight.
Yes, my G2 is pretty warm but it the LED has just started flashing green - orange - green - orange, repeatedly.
There are no new notifications.
The flashing only stopped when I unplugged the USB cable.
Anyone else witnessed this? Is it some kind of overheat warning?
Thanks.
Aus.

[Q] Device not charging on Android?

Hey!
I got some Problem with my HTC Touch Pro :/ When i'm on Windows Mobile, the Device just charges fine, but when i'm on Android, it doesn't charge at all... i left my phone on the USB-Charger (HTC AC Adapter thingy ) all night, but this morning the Battery was still low Someone got the same problem? Do i need to go to Windows Mobile to charge my phone?
Please help,
Tho
Are you running a recent kernel? This hasn't been an issue in ages.
Also, you're not checking the LED indicator for charge status are you? Because orange/green in Android do no mean the same things in WinMo...
Hey!
I'm on XDandroid 2.2.1 FRX04 ^^
I found out it's only a problem when i connect the AC Adapter to charge my device, when i connect it over my Laptop or PC it charges fine...
And what do you mean with "Also, you're not checking the LED indicator for charge status are you? Because orange/green in Android do no mean the same things in WinMo... "? My Touch Pro doesn't have an Orange/green LED or something, i think

Oh right, I'm not in the RHOD section... Sorry .
So for RAPH, I mean the spinning jogwheel at the bottom - you're not looking at this (the spinning "breathe" LED for charging, flashing for notification, etc) for charge status are you?
Android charges just fine from USB or AC for me. A while ago it wouldn't indicate it properly, so what kernel are you on? You said FRX04, this is a system image. Kernel is zImage and modules-xxxxx.tar.gz.

[Q] LED only blinking?

Hi all, i've got a problem with the notification LED on my HTC desire.
I was on Leedroid, and Aurax HD Sense, i hadn't any problem.
Recently i installed Cyanogen 6.1.1, and then the problem started.
The problem is, that the LED can only blink when i got notifications, but when the phone is charging, there's not any problem. I wiped, like 3-4 times, installed new radio, i don't know when the problem comes from.
Thank You
up!
Please
Perhaps there's a setting that you can change in the settings?
I checked eveything, but i didnt find where comes the problem from
So what is your problem?
The led doesn't work when charging?

[Q] Desire won't power on - not flashing related at all!

Hi,
Amoled HTC Desire - Telstra Edition (A8183)
S-Off
ClockworkMod
GingerVillian Rom
It's been about 3 weeks since my last flash. Haven't had any problems with the phone at all.
Was simply browsing the net on my phone tonight. It froze for some reason and was completely unresponsive to all buttons - so I pulled the battery.
It now won't turn on at all - not activity from the phone at all.
What I've tried / found....
Plugged in with NO battery inserted - LED Flashes between Green/Orange
Plugged in with NO battery, then insert battery - LED stops flashing and goes blank.
Plugged in with battery - No LED activity
Power button - No response
Power + Back Button - No response
Power + Vol Down - No response
Plugged into PC - No response on PC
Removed Sim Card
Removed SD Card
Different battery from GF stock desire.
Will leave it on charge tonight and see if anything happens. Seems completely dead!
Any other suggestions here before I try and warranty, hopefully if its dead its so dead that HTC won't know or bother checking to see its rooted.

i had a similar thing only last week, except mine only showed signs of an SLCD brick, also around 3 weeks after i flashed S-OFF, seems very strange. If you have no luck your best option is to try your warranty, worst case scenario they say the warranty is invalid and your back where you are now, worth a try i reckon
So I've discovered that the charging circuit appears to be working. I managed to get the charge LED to display last night by removing the battery, reinserting, then plugging in.
The orange charge LED would display.
I was greeted with a green LED this morning indicating a full charge.
Now if I pressed the power button at any time during charging the LED would disappear and never return, even if I unplugged and plugged the power back in. I would have to remove the battery to get that LED back.
Hi Major Clod
I have exactly the same problem!!!!
Also flashed Ginger Villain around 2 week ago..
2 days ago I was on facebook with my Desire and suddenly the screen was black. Nothing works sinds that moment.
Charged my battery in my cradle.. Now gives a green light.. sometimes.
I think it was the gingervillain rom

Damaged USB? Slow charging, no USB connection, LED on after disconnected Please read

Hello, I have been looking everywhere for months on a solution to my problem and though I have been read about many similar problems mine is a bit different.
My s3 will not connect to any PC. No notification on the PC or phone is visible. The last time it worked I was flashing from CM10 to stock via Odin then update through kies to stock 4.1.
*Note: I was non cm10 with ktoons kernel using fast charge(for about a week) I noticed my phone was getting too hot while charging which was what really made me move back to stock.(plus cm10.1 was not out and I wanted to try a stable version of jb)
The original cable that came with my s3 broke in about a week. So I was using an old mytouch4g charger/cable for a while. My my touch 4g cable was all broken too but it worked. I remember that when I wanted to use Odin to flash to stock my phone would not be detected (though it was working before.) So I asked my sister for her cable. It worked and I flashed to stock, booted to Ubuntu on my PC to set it up. I noticed the the device Id wasn't showing (it did appear a few times but dissapeared pretty fast) after about 2hrs of trying to get it to work nothing. Booted to windows 8 and it wasn't being detected either. So since then I,ve been trying to get it work.
Problems I'm facing:
-No USB connection on any computer.(but charges)
-No USB notification
-slow charging when connected via wall charger(sometimes it won't charge at all)
-Charges normal when its off.
-Charging led stays on for about 15 to 30 secs after being disconnected.
Things I've tried:
-different pcs
-Many different chargers (same slow charging and battery led weirdness)
-Many diff USB cables (including my new Samsung cable that came with my nexus 10)
-Formating my PC.
-Flashing diff ROMs/kernels (currently cm10.1 w/ stock kernel)
-Factory reset.
-USB debuging (enabled/disabled)
-Download mode (USB not detected)
-Removing SD card.
-Booting with phone connected.
-Cleaning connector with a tooth brush(I think its still dirty)
-Kies USB troubleshooting
I also notice my battery is draining way faster. 100 to 0 in like 7-8hrs with like 1hr-2 onscreen time.
So I am officialy giving up, and will continue to use my phone and flash ROMs till it dies, but before I do I wanted to hear what XDA has to tell me.
Is my port damaged?? Any other ideas that might fix it?
Please help!
I have the same problem odin sees my phone in download mode or a camera but not as a phone. When it does connect I get a popup on my phone saying service pack 3 not found. Im reinstalling xp ill let you know if it works

Very often the green led doesn't turn off after disconnecting the charger.

Does this happen to someone else? Lately it's happening all the time to me. After leaving the phone overnight connected to the charger, in the morning I disconnect it and the green light remains on and it annoys the crap out of me. The only way to make it turn off after it gets stuck is rebooth the phone or wait a few minutes, connect the charger again and then disconnect it, and most of the time it finally fades out.
I'm on stock .96 with some mods installed (root, cwm, honami framework, new home, rest is stock), but it happened when I was fully stock as well.
I got the same bug.
Root and cwm installed

It's a kernel bug.
From what I observed the green led will stay if the charger is not disconnected after fully charged (100%). I've tried several times that to disconnect the charger immediately at 100% the green led never stays on.
So it's definitely a bug. It was also present in .200.
I hope Sony will adress it at some point with a final firmware update for our beloved XP S.
Yea, happens to me, stock, without modding

Same thing happen to me too...
Til today the only way to turn it off is by restarting it...
