Sorry if this is a repost. I'm just wondering since I do not have the time and current talent if someone knows of an app or could make a sports app.
Basic function to give up to date info for various sports (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAA etc). Also if you could make it look nice, maybe the start up page (front page) could have a list of sports and could possibly break it down to specific team stats and score and players an so on.
Thanks in advance!
So, Ive made the app for 1800PocketPC & thought I would make a thread about its development,
mostly because I need a bit of help from those with greater knowledge than me
Saijo (the owner of the site) has already made a thread about it over here CLICKY.
There is also a page on my website about it here: CLICKY
Features:
Displays the latest article from your chosen feed on the homepage.
Shows feeds from these different areas:
- News
- App Reviews
- Game Reviews
- General games news
- Free games news
- Xbox Live games news
Displays articles in a mobile friendly way.
Gives you the opportunity to contact the site or the developer (me).
Due to the youtube plugin not working in 3rd party apps, links to the
mobile youtube page are dynamically added to the menu.
The same applies to marketplace links, which would not open strait
from 3rd party apps, links are dynamically added to the menu instead.
You can view & add comments posted on any article.
There is landscape support throughout all but 1 part of the app.
You can also get achievements!
You can download the current version here:
Or you can like it on Facebook here CLICKY
Im currently working on the next major build, which will add:
Twitter & Facebook integration.
Overall UI improvements.
A better mobile reading experience.
Full portrait/landscape support.
Location based advertising off by default.
Now, what I need is help with at the moment is facebook & twitter.
I found a brilliant tut here & I transplanted some of the code from there, so It can now share articles to facebook.
My problems are these:
I don't know how to post to twitter.
I don't know how to get & display all posts from someone's facebook wall (namely the bestwp7games & 1800pocketpc pages)
I don't know how to get & display all posts from someone's twitter account :/
So yeah, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Google hath fail'd me
Being as polite as possible, you need to search. If you ask questions like "how do I ..." you're not really progressing as a developer, as the two services you mentioned have amazingly detailed and well-defined APIs.
I will point you to the kind of Google queries I use to find these answers, that way you can keep developing without wasting time waiting for other people to answer:
Twitter: http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=update+twitter+status+c#
FB Wall Posts: http://www.google.co.uk/search?sour...ebook+wall+posts+c#&pbx=1&fp=b0dc1443d535784d
Recent Tweets: http://www.google.co.uk/search?sour...&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&fp=b0dc1443d535784d
Thanks. You're right, I probably should have searched more.
I was a bit afraid Id find something & try working with it only to find it didnt work with WindowsPhone :/

Is a good app but i think need another logo!
What apps you are creating all are non-seance as per my view. You are calling BETA Testers for promoting your app.

Thanks to everyone who supported by downloading, rating, reviewing my first application 'OneTouch WebAccess'.
I have come up with my second application, 'MBA Finance Calculator'. It is free and ad free like its predecessor. It will be useful for MBA students and working professionals in finance sector.
I have tested it with our Xperia Zl and it works like a charm. Do download, rate and review it on playstore.

Thank you. Great app. Rated 5 stars.
Hello,
I have the note 12.2, but I rarely ever use it.
What are some apps you recommend?
Thank you,
Wapisiw
It all depends on what you want to do with it. This thing is perfect for multimedia use: films, series, comics, magazines, games, art.
But if you don't want to do any of those on a tablet, I'm afraid no app is going to be the perfect solution.
So, what kind of apps are you looking for?
I find myself in the same boat....bought the 905V when it first came out on Verizon, bought a TON of Editing, Writing, Music Creation, Animation apps....and now I barely turn the thing on. I also have a Sony Z2 Tablet.....which is also barely used. I've only recently FORCED myself to take the Note to work and use it in meetings to scribble down notes using Papyrus, but once I'm done-it gets turned off and forgotten about again.
Agree with ShadowLea, want/need should drive usage. This isn't purely a "build it and they will come" kind of thing . .
Any number of us can site applications and workflows that we've come up with but these may not be best for your wants/needs so it's better to start with what you want out of the device and go from there.
Marvel unlimited (for those boring meetings
Inkredible
Art Flow
Guardian, ny times
Lecture notes
500px
Comcast infinity
Ez Pdf
Floating image
Zinio
EdX / udemy / lynda
Redditmag
Issuu
Digg
Snapseed
Biophilia (bjork is the queen)
Nodebeat
Amazon prime instant video
Tune in radio pro / di radio
Muzei (with the reddit earthporn extension for amazing wallpapers)
Teamviewer (hey look, i can pretend to work from home..)
And the ultimate app (cats required though) Cat Alone, when my cat sees me grabbing my tablet he sits next to me, and starts annoying me until I let him play this game for at least 5 minutes, really!
How dare you not use this fine piece of technology ma'am?!
For me, this tablet is all about books. And the best app for that? Moon Reader Plus. There are, of course, other good ones. But really -- pop up a PDF book on this baby. Start reading. SuWEET. Or grab a micro-sd card and dump around 10,000 books of all kinds onto it. Then open 'em up via Moon Reader or some other Reader and enjoy.
Second app I'll mention is MySword Bible reader. There are websites dedicated to storing legally obtainable and *free* Greek Lexicons, Commentaries, Dictionaries, and more for that program.
Third app I'll mention comes with the Samsung install for free.... and this is when you want to write instead of read. The Hancom Office Apps -- esp. the word processor -- are very, very nice. You should have a Samsung or other working Blue Tooth keyboard for best results.
And... that is it for now. But yes, it really is about that big screen and the books. For me, anyway.
Blessings.

Moon Reader, eh? I've never tried it but since you're obviously a reader, as I am myself, I'm going to check it out today. I got the 'AlReader' since it's free and it does okay for my .epub formats but of course, it's nothing fancy. The Hancom Office was on offer for free with the tablet so I downloaded that from the link to it already on my Note Pro and it handles my .pdf books with its own viewer - and on landscape view, which means everything.
I downloaded the Multiling O Keyboard because as long as the list is of languages available from Samsung, there are stll a few I use that are not included. I don't know if that's the best one but it has a very ample selection.
If you're interested in food, Wapisiw, and for anybody else who may be, I found a real treasure at the app store. The real treasure is the developer, Ha3apko, from Russia, who manages to give you the feeling of having been invited into the kitchen of a friend who really loves food. All the apps work beautifully offline as well as online - though you will get more pics next to the instructions online - and they all are designed for both landscape and portrait view; oh, and they're free but you can donate if you like. These aren't like any other cooking app I've ever seen; they are apps 'with heart.' This developer could even make comatose people get up and start cooking! You'll find all the apps just by searching the app store for the developer name. I started out with his 'Dumpling Recipes' and went back and got them all.
Mantano is a great book reader - Moon Reader was down for a few weeks and you couldn't download the book covers so I tried that one and I actually like that a lot better but still flip-flop from the two as moon reader is the only one that would allow you to read mobi files

Moon Reader also allows for storing the books where *I* want them to be, and using its internal file and folder browser I can even organize them into genres and authors (which I've done). Funny how all the control-freak big companies (both Kindle and Nook) disallow such basic amenities.
