I have a serious problem with my Mio A701 phone
Three days ago I bought one from a phone local dealer. After I bought it, I saw many comments on different websites about improving its performance using cooked ROM, so I've decided to have anew customized piece of equipment. I've entered in the bootloader menu and downgrade it from R55 to R48, and when I've tried to flash the CE image it didn't work. So I dummy formatted the Uboot.
I'm now asking you: can be repaired?
If the answer is yes-tell me how!

i have a pocket pc with wm 2003 on it: the mio 168 (by mitac)
usually wm2003 is exactly what i need and i don't need to get wm2005 for exemple... but there is one thing missing in 2003: the rotation of the screen!
because i always go on internet with it (with wifi) it will be great if i'll be able to rotate the screen...
so i want and search how to upgrade to wm2003 SE
so i have some questions:
1: is it difficult, and if it doesn't work is there a way to scroll back?
2: where can i find a rom?
3: is all rom of wm2003 SE are all the same?
4: is wm2003 compatible pocket pc will be compatible with 2003SE?

I am desparate with my Mio P550. On bootloader menu i choose DumpTools> Mark Bad block (50mb) and now my lovely Mio 550 dont boot. I make soft reset and lamps only power on and display is black. I can not get in Boot menu, i dont have splash screen Mio P550. What i did? I erase RAM? I know you are experts gyus here, please advise me if there is a solution for this problem or i need to send it to Belgium to Mio service...

Sorry I don't have a solution for your problem.
I have the same problem and no solution yet.
My first problem with my MIO P550 started because some programs would not run caused by to little memory.
That was the reason I executed the "LowLevelFormat" command.
After that I also executed the "Mark Bad Block (50MB)" command
After that i did "Image Upgrade Tools" "Image by SD/MCC"
and flashed a downloaded firmware Win 6.1.
After that I have a running machine but 50MB memory missing!
Can I get my 50MB back ??? how ????
or do I have to buy a new motherboard with memory and win 5.0 ???
I want to flash to Win5.0 NL ( my origional version)
does anyone has a .bin to download ?

Dead Mio P550
I had the same problem about a year ago. It took some time to solve it but finally I succeed. Here is link to the solution - but I warn you it is in polish. Maybe You find it useful. On the other side - mainboard for this Mio costs in Poland about 30$. Answer yourself whether it makes sense to repair it ...

Hello everyone, I´m new in the XDA world and would like a little help...
I bought 3 HTCs P3301 from TIM in Brazil a couple weeks ago, and now one of them stopped reading his SIM card, the problem is that I have upgraded him. The other 2 are fine, but I updated the ROM on one of them as well... So now I have 1 original HTC P3301 and 2 Updated to W6.1 HTC P3301, but one of them is broke... Well, I´ve looked for original TIM ROMs and I´ve looked about how to backup an existing ROM from a device, but it is still confusing for me... I also noticed that some people have asked for how to backup their HTC P3301 before, and I´m pretty sure that due to my needs and knoledge, with a little help I could back it up for myself and upload to many other users as I have 3 devices in my house...So, Can anyone explain me how can I extract the ROM that is running on a device ?

i have MIO P550 for 3 days and i've tried new ROM (WM 6.5).
When PPC working it says me some errors and i reset device before and now my MIO is dead - only LEDs light.
I cannot go to bootloader.
Hardreset not be created.
For JTAG motherboard i havent got skillz.
Any solutions? What can I do? Move it to trash?
My parents kill me

My Mio C720 stuck on orange logo Mio Screen and WinCE can't boot up (after that screen MENU must appear). USB communication doesn’t work.
On some forums I have read that I must do jTag (or some other kind of flash ). On GpsPasSion forum I found ROM from working C720 device, but there are no tutorial how to flash it.
I would be grateful if someone can help me with this (jtag schema, using tools, tutorial...).
P.S.
There isn't problem in navigation software. Device can work without navigation software.
