Hi there..
I got my qtek9000 on a 3uk contract.
I m quite interested to flash new roms on it or even the wm6 ones in order to compare it with my current one since ithe current one seems to be quite slow.
The problem i ve got is that i dont know how to backup my existing rom as well as the radio rom which i want to do before to procceed with the upgrade.
Am i coorect in thinking that the radio rom is the "customisation" setting from my 3uk provider??
So can anyone pls point me to the right direction??
I think alot of people including myself will be interested in your "3" rom !

Hi,
I'm using a HTC P3300 UK-version PDA. It is HTC branded and I recently flashed it to Windows Mobile 6, official HTC Singapore ROM. Since the upgrade the device became completely unstable. I've had to reset the phone 4 to 5 times per day by removing the battery. Do some members recognise those instability after upgrading to WM6 (official Asia HTC ROM)? Today I'm downgraded to WM5 and hopefully the device will become stable again. One reset per month is no problem, but 4 or 5 times per day is too much.
I'll have to wait for the official European WM6 HTC P3300 ROM and hopefully that version will be stable!

I flash my rom everyday for the moment... because, i like to test every rom from this forum....
If you take a look there http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_DumpedRoms
you will see all wm6 english rom ... If you choise for a official version from htc, you should choise the v 3.5 from htc (european one).
But, if you choise for a good one, test the b&b 3.7 made by Tom_codon of the touch flo made by khunchai from pdamobiz and post to xda-developers by cody_28 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=316023)
... And a new link to official update to xda orbit have just been posted in this forum by pharaOn there http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=320750
If you look around this forums, i sure you find more rom for you p3300.
I hope this can help you.
Hi, I recently got a HTC 4350 from a friend of mine, it was locked though so I got it unlocked (both sim and cim) and upgraded to WM6 (with a dutch vodafone rom gotten from this forum), only thing is, the GPRS settings seem to be pre-configured and there doesn't seem to be a way to change them.
I would like to use the WWE edition of the rom (from what I've learned so far that seems to be the "standard" version for HTC phones?) so that it really is fully "unlocked" but I am affraid if I attempt to use this I will break my phone.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to get this done?
Also, is there an english version of this rom? (With WM6). Cause all I've managed to find were roms with other languages, basically anything but English.
Thanks a lot in advance
So, has anyone successfully unlocked, hard spl and flashed a new ROM into an O2 Ignito?
There's so little about the O2 ignito here, but i'm thinking to get one and try a wwe Rom on it.
Thanks all
some people have them

Ehh?
There's not much information relating to the "MDA Compact IV" either.

True true, but don't forget it's the same hardware anyway so all of the updating applies to all 3 versions of the phone.
I personally have the MDA Compact IV and have updated ROM/SPL/Radio fine, and my friend has the O2 XDA Ignito and has also updated all 3 of his so i can confirm its safe
The XDa Ignito comes unlocked as standard - you can use any SIM card in it. As for the rest - I put Olinex 1.40 on mine and then have flashed 3 different roms from here all fine
I'm going to put a new rom on my Ignito tonight hopefully.
First though I want a copy of the original O2 rom to put back on if necessary.
So far i've managed to dump the rom from the phone to my computer, but now just need to convert that all back into a ROM somehow.

same position here, i got the raw files and the spl but trying to find out how to build a rom with the raw files.
please update if youv managed to find anything
I also have the raw files but if I have no idea how to get these back into a normal flashable o2 rom! I am sure we will manage it if we need it for warranty purposes though if it comes to it
i think we need to start a new thread for this to get more attention, some of the advanced users will deffinitely be able to help.
its worth doing in my opinion
As has already been stated, there's loads of us XDA Ignito users on here. Within 2 days I'd flashed a new SPL and ROM onto my device. Would be nice to have the original o2 rom to roll back to if necessary but I'm perfectly happy with out it currently.
As far as I'm aware o2 are one of the few operators that don't lock their devices. Out of all the handsets I've had from them over the years I'm as yet to receive a sim locked one.
markquinton,
can you help us out with redeveloping the original o2 rom!
seems like you have some ccoking experience having a custom rom on your orbit! see my previuos post in this thread
I'm afraid I only built custom rom's from the base HTC one's made available for the Orbit originally when WM6.1 came out. I've never worked with raw files and wouldn't have the foggiest about how to get them back into a flashable state. Sorry!
hi all am hoping to get this thread going again as im having trouble geting Unsigned-Hard-SPL-Diamond-OliNex onto my ignito. did any of you guys have trouble?
Hard SPL on ignito
I managed to install the hard SPl onto my ignito, but have been unable to flash a new rom.
Think the pre-installed works well though, I just installed the original black theme as the blue o2 one is pants.
Radio upgrade has been fine.
Biggest recommendation I have is to install the VGA version of quick GPS. It REALLY made a difference to my satellite lock times from like 10 mins to about 10 secs
no problems with it works fine mine was on o2 software using latest dutty's now.
give it a go, loads faster now
Hi there,
I'm new in this forum and not yet an expert on all this items handled here. So maybe one of those great software guys can help me.
I got a present from my Chinese friend, it's a DOPOD P860 mobile branded for china mobile. As I'm german I tried to change the operating system to german or english. All those great tools worked fine for flashing procedure.
I tried original O2 ROM and some others like the one from Bepe. Also combined these with several Radio Rom. Operating system of the device works fine with nearly all of these Roms.
Problem remains:
The recognition level of the radio is low. As soon as I go into any building I will get a "no signal" message.
Is there anyone who can help me?
Thanks, wbr
i have the same problem
and STILL cant find a solution
I gave up to follow this.
I think it's impossible to solve this problem.
I already changed to Diamond 2 mobile.
