Lightest weight Manilla2D Rom?

I've tried Josh's V15 Manilla2D Rom, and while I love it, it leaves very little room for extra storage and programs.
What's the consensus about other Manilla2D roms out there? Which have the smallest footprint?

TAI_SW does a awesome light manilla2d rom, and i'm testing one in my testing link in my sig.

Are you talking about the M2D_Light_Test.7z file or the V15_Ultra_light_Test_21109.7z file?
How stable is the version you are talking about?

M2D_Light_Test.7z is the manilla2d test, and it's stable as hell man!
edit: oh and just so you know, a suggestion is, if you have a question per say on a certain rom, try posting on that thread instead of opening new threads..

I love it!
Lots of memory, I can install what I want, and comes prebuilt with Manilla2D.
There are however some problems with it... which is why I guess, it's not a released version.

yep, g icon, internet tab, still needs a little fine tuning

Does the m2d interface work fully for you?
I can't add any contacts to the People widget, the weather widget won't let me add a location, the program launches won't let me add programs to it...

i've had success in those yes.. thats really odd.. i'll update it tonight with a new build hopefully.. i'm gonna have some free time after work tonight to do that.

I have the same issues Also i tested after putting rom back to o2 default and installing yours, running on o2 hermes 100, i also lost signal on it. Not sure why there. Had to go back to old one i was using.

When can we expect this for Hermes? Says HTC have already got it running, perhaps we can get that ROM and customise it for Hermes?

Already has been. Josh Koss has a 6.5 hybrid as well as Tai_sw. Both of which seem REALLY stable...

Looks like Josh is up to WM 6.5 Test 4. I might wait a bit longer till he gets a stable build out.
Can't understand which Mobile 6.5 of TAI_Sw's to download??? Prefer Lite ROMs as they run faster.

Ive been running Tai_sw's non ui rom 21139, very stable. Josh's v4 is also very stable. DIfferent Ui than normal today screen. If you don't have too many extra apps installed would suggest trying. V4 has been out for about a week already.

yep it's not production like direct from htc or anything it's very beta and provided from beta sources.. but we're doing the best with what we got

a little dev idea
Hey Josh, been using the 6.5 for a while now, a little diff to get used to but runs very smooth, 1 thought though, would there be a way to split the honeycomb interface into panels that would slide sideways.....ie, the first panel might show the tools icon, file expl icon etc, then the next panel might have the display settings icon and messeging icon, etc.... it could slide up or down or sidways, would not really matter...........just a thought, might involve too much programming, but would navigate much easier than the current flick mode, thanks for any thoughts

One question though: why does it say 6.5_test3.7z? You stated that test6 is under way?

Results:
Once again I have to mention that I'm not sure which test version this is, but anyways here's what I got so far:
1. The screen is going off for no apparent reason.
2. It's very slow when opening menus. (takes like 4-5secs to open)
wow all the content from the start menu just went on a vacation, nothing's there
and now it's dead! tried almost everything it just wont work.
sorry that I can't give U more info, I'm going back to a stable rom!
Hope to see a more stable test version and I'll give it a another run.

NP I'll def look into it, but right now I'm testing the Omnia ROM. Looks pretty fun!

You do realize that the HTC Legend runs HTC Sense? We already have a great theme for that. It's called HTC Sense and it comes with every HTC Hero out there.

yes iknow that but i would like to have the ui in settnings and like friendstream
watch video "Hands-on with the HTC Legend and the aluminum unibody" on youtube

Any 2.1 rom should have that menu and the friendstream is an app when someone gets hold of the .apk for it then that should be possible as well.

We won't be able to theme something like FriendStream, but like mentioned above, there will be an APK for it.
Within minutes of the Legend being released we will have a system dump. It won't be long.

I am also waiting a lot for the dev's to get the ROm of the HTC Desire and Legend and adapt it for Hero!
I am so excited to get all these new features ( i don't care about the stupid pinch to see desktops, but the copy-paste , Bluetooth audio on 2.1 ROM, the new contact widgets, etc..)
Villain is really nice but still buggy and i am sure it will get really better when he will get the Legend/Bravo sources!

im hoping its soon its a really nice UI !!

I'm looking forward to this as well. Does villain have good 3d gaming? i havent tried his yet because of this.

You do know we can already copy and paste don't you? Bluetooth audio works on some 2.1 roms already and so does the new contact widget and even pinch zoom on desktop. Currently the only real thing we are missing is the friend stream.

No it does have problems with this but that's more due to the files we have available than how he has made the rom, we need a more complete htc 2.1 rom before this will work properly

He won't get the Legend/Bravo sources! Android 2.1 is already available AOSP, and the HTC stuff is closed source.
To be honest, I rather expect the Hero update to be pretty much everything that will be on the Legend, so the real issue here is which will come first - the Legend or the Hero 2.1 update?

He probably meant that the copy and paste feature have been much improved since 1.5, if you watch the presentation of the new HTC phones.

In about a month, we're getting the same Sense update..

For the who wants to know:
The new ROM is already compiled for the Nexus one and works 99%.
I really hope that once it's OK for the N1, we will get it for the Hero!

Exactly, people don't seem to be understanding this point.
Also about 80-85% of the features are also available on custom roms (albeit maybe a little buggy until we get the real thing)

Adding to my collection

So my boss finally decided it was time for me to have a company phone.
He has a ATT plan, so he went and got himself and iPhone4 and I got his used Tilt2.
So now I have 2 rhodiums !!!

Twenty bucks says he will want his Tilt2 back after about two weeks.

Too bad for him if he does.
It is interesting to see all the differences between the two devices, especially software-wise.
I will me making a ServicePack2 for my icon set shortly as I have already found several icons in the ATT ROM that aren't in the VZW ROM that need to be replaced.

Maybe some new stuff for TF3D 2.1 coming up?

No thanks. Too many issues and Sense 2.5 is a memory hog. TF3D runs so much smoother.

Honestly, the ATT 2.5 ROM is much less of a memory hog than the VZW 2.5 ROM is.

Still, I follow all the new AT$T ROM threads in here and see lots of problems. I like the messaging client I have now and thanks to yours and others mods I have my phone just how I want it. About the only thing Sense 2.5 has that I would like is the shortcuts on the Home page.

I did have your Stock Sense slider icons, but am now using Triscuit's Slider. I currently have your V2 Color Settings Icons, Color Comm. Manager Icons and Transparent TF3D Slider Tab installed.

Though, the lack of Calendar tab keeps me back from choosing again a TF3D rom..

Free RAM on boot is 49mb.
Like i said this is an old is gold related ROM. But even though i said i would not add or remove apps, i still take your suggestions clearly
When i get my vacation arnd december, i will see about integrating Sense 2.1 and 2.5

rather than sense 2.1 i will suggest you to take a look into TF3D 2.1
the only difference in sense 2.1 and TF3D 2.1 is that sense 2.1 has weather in home tab
something which is not really important if you can have a faster phone with more free RAM

I was not aware of that detail about TF3D 2.1!
Sure, the weather in the home tab is useless and it's animations are annoying.
I can't really recall seeing a TF3D 2.1 Rom though..
