I have noticed some slight flaws with my HTC One X
Firstly, when the backlight is on maximum (which happens when you first boot-up the phone) and shows a black screen, I can see some backlight bleeding at the bottom. It looks a bit greenish in one corner and also a bit further along the bottom.
Also, on a full white screen, the bottom is a bit more yellow than the rest of the image. This can be seen on the mail application (or gmail) for example.
I noticed that my applying slight pressure to the casing, that I can reduce the backlight bleed a bit. It also seems to reducing after a few heat-up / cool-down cycles. However the slight uniformity issue from top to bottom doesn't seem to be changing.
Has anyone else noticed this? I must emphasise it is slight, and that the backlight bleed is near invisible if the display is on auto-brightness and you are in a normally lit room.

Dude the below backlight bleeding is from the LEDs of the buttons
Same thing with DHD and O2X...

Yeah I have seen what you mean in previous handsets. But in this case it really is the screen. When you boot the phone up, it goes black on full brightness for a few seconds without the LEDs for the buttons

I checked it with a pure black background, same I used for my Galaxy S2.
I had 3 spots below, and when the leds went out I had no spots at all.
I have now checked 3 other HTC One X handsets, and they are all practically identical in terms of uniformity on an all white screen. They are all more yellow towards the bottom of the screen. That doesn't mean every One X handset is like that, but clearly there isn't much point in me swapping it out.
Funnily enough I also had that with the Evo 3D handset as well although it was even more obvious on that one.
These kinds of imperfections seems a price of having a laminated screen ie: glue, iPhone4/4s and iPad3 have similar habbits
Mine has about 6 tiny little lights on the bottom of the display...this is not normal. At least I hope not. They are always on so they can't be related to he touch button?

Do you have a carrier phone? When mine boots up it's 10K lumens of white to the point it'll clearly light up a dark room. That and the HTC strum at max volume drive me crazy. Never reboot your phone in a crowd unless you want to be stared at.

Same here...walked out of the store and right back in...second phone has same problem but screen is better overall...really annoying seeing those lights at the bottom of the screen though...it is only noticeable on lighter color screens...
Anyone else got this??

I also have this issue. Is this normal, or do most One X's not have this problem/issue/feature?
I just bought this tablet and everything is going well, but ... my question is if the pictures herein may be cause for concern:
1. when the screen is in blaco or light colors. (black or dark colored this fault disappears).
2. with 0% brightness, 50% the fault disappears.
3. always appear in the bottom of the screen (right side photo1, photo 2 and 3 bottom).
thank you very much.

I'm pretty sure they all do it. Must be an edge lit screen. I'm not bothered as 0% brightness isn't a realistic usage condition.
I think mine is improving anyway. Wondered if it was caused by that part of the screen normally being black ( nav buttons) in portrait mode.
All screens have problems , e.g. amoled has better blacks but uneven brightness, horrible colour and loses brightness over time.
If it makes you feel better, the iPad mini retinas suffer more screen problems and they cost twice as much ( backlight bleed and poor colour gamut)
Yes I have had 2 units and this is something I have seen this device suffers from, my second unit is an improvement over the first one, but still has backlighting issues.
Yeah, mine has this funny issue where if you squeeze it really hard, the screen makes funny colors. I'm on my 18th unit and they all do this.

It's funny because it's true. People complain about anything and everything. Who uses their tablet at 0% brightness anyway? No device is perfect as they're manufactured.
First of all I noticed that my fingerprint scanner is loose towards the left side, it used to make crunchy noises when I press it but stopped after a couple days of use, this doesn't interfere with functionality everything is working fine but I can feel the level deference with my fingers and it bothers me.
Also, there seems to be a dark spot at the top left portion of the display, it's only visible when you look at the screen from an angle.

Have you guys noticed anything?
I've had this phone less than a year. Bought it new. There were zero screen issues before this. Not even a hint. And the performance is unchanged.
Yesterday, out of nowhere, I got something like a clear vertical woodgrain distortion evenly across the entire screen. Didn't drop it. It hasn't been through anything new or had new apps. It wasn't even overheated.
The distortion has since become more varied. Sometimes woodgrain-pattern lines (both even and irregular) and sometimes bloom. Sometimes the colors just fade (usually this has a mix of faded and non-faded vertical lines.
I've noticed that when I turn the screen on and off it usually clears up completely, then the screen issues start after only a minute or so.
I'd rather not have to go through the nightmare of the warranty process if I don't have to. Does anyone know what the issue might be?
I replaced my screen on my OnePlus 5t, double checked all ribbon cables, and factory reset the phone with the unbrick tool. The screen works perfectly but the picture is upside down and 1/4 of the screen at the bottom is fuzzy static. but the image is not cut off ...it is almost like this amount of pixels is subtracted but the top and bottom bars are still visible within the working portion of the screen...the touch works in the normal orientation so it is almost impossible to hit the right buttons on the screen - you have to guess where. see a screenshot and some photos attached. The screenshot strangely is coming out as 1080x1920 resolution and looks normal but shorter. I know that the screen's resolution is 1080x2160. Anyone has an idea what may the issue be?? Faulty replacement screen, issue with ribbon cable or even a damaged GPU?? Thanks
...
Not possible its a defective 5t display as oneplus 5 has a small display with a home button
Check recovery if it's showing the same.
