Here is theBLURhero.zipscreenshot in post6
fyi: TehDust had edited his script to change the framework-res and rosie.apk's. Now works with ne JACSki roms currently not working with Blur
umm...maybe some screenshots so we can see what we are dealing with?
and technically since this is a rom...why is it in the theme section? how fast is this baby? would you reccomend for daily use? will there be updates to the ROM or just your theme your using? i really think this should be in development...
i thought i did post in developement but after i posted i realized it was in themes..but its deffinetly good for daily use its a themed blurhero with a custom boot.gif..all widgets and htcapps themed green...screenshots later tonite....unless someone tries it and can post some sooner

RedBlur
Added red widgets and apps: RedBLUR-apps.zip
I like the font, what is it. Nice themes too man, kinda bright for me lol, but i like the completeness. and the red. Now if only someone could make a black/dark red theme for kings 1.1r rom, i would be a happy sponge ha ha. Nice job again.
can you tell me how to change the colors. all i want to do with drizzys blur is change the red back to lie green. thats it. i dont dont want too much change the red is an eye sore on a white phone.

itll take awhile to do it but youll have to replace the -- highlight, list_selector_background, pressed_application_background, status_bar_item_background.png's --
in the drawables folders in the framework-res, rosie and resources.apk's with the green ones from JAC's or another heroROM-or edit them yourself in PS

in hero it would be one of the drawables in framework-res.apk/res/ last time i checked a hero rom there were four and i think 2 of them were relatively unpopulated. also you will probably need to look into Rosie.apk/res/ at the drawables in it and make sure there are no red files in it.
also the com.htc.resource has some for the pop-ups

UPDATE 03/30/09
Theme has been updated. There are now 2 versions, one with the black status bar like in the competition and one with a gold status bar to make it easier to see market apps that use the status bar. Both have been tested and are working.
update includes new menu text color courtesy of Stericson and Moonspoon for the help in finding and editing the xml
menu background color was changed to match theme
Update file now works on phones with Lucid Dreams mod
Enjoy!
If you flash to the one with the red clock you must flash back to a full jf update or flash to the gold status bar version to get a black clock back!

Icons!Updated 04/05/09
This is where I'll post any updates to icons. Here's an icon file that includes all the stock theme icons and one for shop savy, shazam, and weather.
I've also included a psd file to make your own icons. The psd includes a color layer so you can get the rgb code for the gold color used in this theme, it's also sized at 200x200 so any icon you make resize to 48x48 before saving. Enjoy!
Icon Pack 1!
Icon Pack 1
The attached zip is still there to get the psd to make your own but the download are some I've made recently.
Nice. been a batman nut since I was a kid. Looking forward to this.

This is TIGHT Dude!

freakin awesome dude love it. cant wait till release
awesome!!!
just started working on my own theme- much more basic but this inspires me to try more!
Love the whole thing man and im not a batman fan, the clock is one of the best i've seen yet, great work!
Found this wallpaper, dont know if you have it yet but here you go if you or anyone wants to use it.
pretty sweet man, just downloaded it and it looks good as a wallpaper
Right on cant wait to try it with theme!!!
my favorite so far, keep up the good work
Hope this isn't a stupid question, but if I install your theme, and then another one on top, will I still have the red clock font? Are there other changes that may persist if switching to another theme? I like a lot of the elements of yours, but I am not the kind of person to just use a pre-packaged theme - I mix and match and create my own elements. So, I was thinking I would install yours first to get the red text (unless there is another way to go about that when mixing my own theme up), and modify from there.
Thanks.
sweet deal ^-^
Also, must note:
New Castle is amazing, one of my favorites

Dude, those are sweet looking icons. I'm fonder of the darker colors, so IMO they'd look better on something like the Gloss Suite bar rather than the standard.

I would definitely love to use this on my theme (personal theme) Im glad you liked the idea, just seemed the natural progression. Only thing that could be a little different, making the greens the same shade, either the android green or the neon green, but i would definitely stick with one shade.

Ok so here is the newest look to the batt icons as well as a link to download the .png files if u want to use it on your own g1 just remember where u got them from lol The biggest diff on this one is that the battery icons are a brighter green.
However the only files contained in the .zip file is what is shown in this pic if u want the wifi signal and the cellular signal icons let me know. Everything for the battery / wifi / edge in and out all go in the framework.apk file under drawable. I also included a link if you want to download the HTC icon for your slider bar. Those icons go into apps/launcher.apk under drawable-land and drawable-port you also need to rename the files to replace what is there.
This worked for JF1.42 rc33 update as well as JF1.42 1.5ADP

Thanx!! I will check them out!
Pardon me for a stupid question, as I've just started going crazy with the rooting, customization, etc.
Are you saying that these icons need to replace the applicable files prior to a flashed update(ie, alter the build prior to installation) or can these be just updated with the flash utility after you are already running cupcake, etc?
Sorry if it's a dumb question.
Thanks.
You have to edit the update first then sign then install.
@ androidd,
I threw these in my phone, and they are working great. Im gonna try to implement my idea with the same green for 3G, the standard grey for EDGE, and red for GPRS. Ill let you know how it goes thanx for the initial files.
EDIT: I have edited the files and sent you a PM. Lemme knoe what you think.

No worries you have to edit the update.zip >system>framework> unpack framework-res.apk extract the res folder outta the unzip program and then edit the files you want edited (Easiest to just name the file the same as the icon your replacing and then replace the file that is there.) every thing is a .png file and I think most is in a drawable / drawable-port / drawable-land... after your done with all that you have to repack the update.zip file, then you have to resign the update.zip and drop on your sd card... then do a system update to implement the new changes... i.e Home and power button... etc
whew... lol Hope that sheds some light on this, I know it's a lot lol one tip I would say is watch your res folders.. android uses that file for alllll the icons it seems lol This is really a nutshelled version of how to do all this so you may want to check some other threads to get detailed info
So are all these png's already named correctly? Or do we need to search through the framework-res.apk to rename them?
EDIT: Nevermind just downloaded the zip. Can you post the extra icons also?

Umm as far as I have seen no or at least I don't know how to install other than a full update using (update.zip) So if anyone knows a good way let me know also this icon is using a different progression / deplition ratio than the standard android icon.
Soon as I figure it out I will let post somethin lol.
nice job i would rock that.
As far as I know, currently the battery icon only goes by percentage in this order...10, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100. You probably need to do some xml mumbo jumbo to get it to work in increments of 5.
Yeah I know that's the depletion on the reg build of androidd... I was working on this for stericson and its depletion for him is a 5% rate.
I actually have that same icon for the standard build also
would you mind sharing please?
LOL! Looks great! Not a fan of the Android logo and never will be but this is pretty cool still. I really like the prospect of increments of 5%

I really like! My only suggestion is to maybe have more colors, like a gradient... red -> orange -> yellow -> green -> super green (if possible).
Keep up the great work!

I did it without loosing data or useing an update zip (well i did but not in the normal way. )
I followed this tutorial here but did things in my own way.

I downloaded this to make the signing easier thanks to Dave Da illest 1
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?uwzjjydnm2r
I then hooked my phone upto the pc and used adb to pull the content of the system/app folder
"adb pull system/app C:\android\modding"
then replaced the apks in the update.zip thats included in daves package. with my own of my phone.
then used adb to pull down the /system/framework/framework-res.apk file
changed the images i wanted to and then saved it and inserted that in the update.zip
signed it useing daves batch file
extracted the update.zip and used adb to upload the files to my phone
adb push C:\android\modding\app system/app
adb push C:\android\modding\framework\framework-res.apk system/framework
rebooted the phone and then put my home icons back on.
disclaimer :if you break your phone by following this then its not my fault. make sure you understand what you are doing before doing it

New and improved! It's truely Blu-tiful
Anyone wanting this theme on a different rom then please attach the framework-res.apk files to a post and I can theme it for you.
This can be found in /system/framework/
Installing
This is a flashable update so just flash in recovery and reboot. Same applies for the revert to original theme zip. For the CM based roms the Status bar is black but if anyone wants will include a blue gradient bar version (will include a couple of screenshots shortly) Also for the full effect then change the Date, Time and Notification ticker to #ff0000ff.
Any problems/requests just pm me and I'll sort it out for you

With Black Notification Bar
Looks great! I've been looking for something blue without black bars for a while. Too bad I switched to Froyo for Trout. I guess I'll just wait for the MetaMorph.

The beuaty of the way it's themed means it can be put together in ten miutes including reversal flashable update.
Open terminal and enter the folloing pressing enter at the end of each line.
su
mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system
cp /system/framework/framework-res.apk /sdcard/
Mail it to me and I'll create the theme for you and I'll add it to the OP too.
This theme can basically used on any Eclair/Froyo rom so just send me the apk, the name of the rom and I'll do a port for you

So then it dawns on me that these roms are basically identical, except that F4T is de-odexed. They're both built on the stock framework, so I flashed it and it worked. Thanks for your help, but no port is needed. This theme is great, it's the closest thing to Nebrada's plastic theme that I can find. I really like the gradient notification bar, don't change that.

The only problem with that as stated in the OP is I haven't gotten around to learning how to change the colour yet, this has no cm framework for notification/date/time colour changing. When I get the chance I will get round to it but for now not a major priority, if of course you can do it yourself already then no problem and I'll whip you one up.

Glad it's worked for you fella I've noticed a few graphical glitches such as voicemail icon looking like a three year old drew it so be expecting an update soon for further improvements.

Do you want the taskbar only? Or the task bar in my theme, with black writing?

I like both. I like the battery, signal, and tab backgrounds from yours, but I like the gradient notification bars here. You both did excellent work.

Heja??
Hey man, I would like to help you. How can I do if you do not tell me what you want? "I like a bit of this and of the?
The woman is cool or just a little? She has tits or **** with the neighbors and what you want now? Say it right ... or forever!

Do you have a brain malfunction?
So what if someone likes a little from column a and a little of column b? Besides the fact they did say what they want and what they liked about both. Just relax some, you'll live longer.
at first it look really awesome. i have one question.
it is possible that you can make a theme that look like this? but not only the icons. also the settings.apk and the notifications bar addon and so on.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823201
i know it will be very heavy.

If you had read the first post I did state there would be a metamorph on it's way with new icons for applications. Also have you tried to just port it using the tools available on this forum, I have no desire to port this so sorry.
Awesome theme
I like the originality of this theme. It shows future potential. Keep up the good work!

To change those colors you need to DeODex the rom, then either edit the smali or use this tool, once you go that way you will have to replace all odexED app/framework in the rom with your Deodex files or once you are done ODEX the DeOdexed to save the space.
kind of a hassle

This is the theme I want. There's no orange or green anywhere in the theme and it looks great on a white g1. This with the gradient notification bar would be perfect.
luv ur theme, perfect for a daily driver. tbh red and black combo (other themes) gives u an eye strain.
Request: Make one in Purple and one in Green, if thats not too much of a trouble.
Much appreciated.

Just delete the odex and apk for messaging mms.apk mms.odex and then replace with one from another froyo rom, I pulled mine from Biffmod and just copied it into system/app/ and worked like a charm.
True Blue has been updated with even more Blue and is now Mulit Rom!
Check out the OP for links and instructions, all also include a revert file if you decide you don't like it
Status bar, not notification pull down. I've already gotten the notification working, as it was just a standard png edit.
Anyway, is there anyone that can give an explanation on how I can get my status bar to be transparent? I've already gotten the proper image from system/app/SystemUI.apk. I edited it and saved it properly for transparency. Where I'm getting stuck is the whole draw 9 thing, since the image is a ".9.png" file. I've already opened the png in the draw 9 patch tool in the SDK, but I'm just totally stuck at this point.
I sort of understand the deal with drawing black lines on the right and the bottom for the content areas, then the two dots on the top and left for the stretchable areas. But after I save the file, I'm still seeing the drawn black lines in the image. Am I not doing something right? After I get that sorted, how do I go about resigning the apk to push it to my device?
You'll need to run Eclipse, this tutorial helped me with draw nines. Once you put them thru Eclipse, the lines will disappear. Then you can extract them from the unsigned apk like the video states, use 7zip to put the images back into your framework-res.apk or whatever without having to resign anything.

+1
I'm a rom-whore, and I'm damn proud of it
Edit: Nevermind, I'm editing the right file. I just did a test and made it completely red and it worked. But, for some reason transparency is not working at all, it just keeps appearing solid black.
I believe it's in services.jar if I'm not mistaken. Or so that's what I had heard. I haven't messed with it myself.
Can you make it semi-transparent?

That's actually what I'm trying to do. And the file is actually in \system\app\SystemUI.apk\res\drawable-hdpi\

Yeah, realized that. it's been a long day theming for me. I will give it a shot and let you know what I get.

Yeah, I've tried about everything I can think of. If you get something put together, I might figure out how to put together a flashable zip of a transparent or semi-transparent status bar and pull down for stock CM7 theme.
Which one do you need? status bar or statusbar?

Sent you a PM.
The actual image is in SystemUI.apk. But it won't render transparent without an xml our services.jar hack. It's a pain in the ass. Also if you actually make it transparent you are going to have problems with text and image stacking when you pull down down notifications. I just replace the image in SystemUI.apk with a 480x38 top part of my wallpaper.

That's ingenious. Have to give up wallpaper scrolling though.

Here's a test SystemUI.apk that you can flash that I'm using for maybe my next update on my Custom CM7 Incredible ROM.
Was made for the cm_inc_full-2 CM1 nightly 2/19/11 thanks to sonnysekhon.

Unfortunately it only works on the lockscreen, screen transitions, and with live wallpapers. I don't use live wallpapers so it just remains a black bar for me.

In ADW Launcher settings to go System Preferences, and uncheck Wallpaper Hack, and the transparency will be enabled with regular wallpaper.
With Launcher Pro, it only works with LWP.

Indeed that does work. Now, if I could only get that transparency to work with the original CM7 theme. I'm not a fan of all the extra theming stuff that particular patch adds. Thank you though.
