Anyone else using Citrix client and can't get letters to transmit to Citrix session? Only enter and backspace keys seem to work/transmit, letters and numbers do not. I am using the shipped Opera to launch the sessions which is working fine. Just can't type anything!
I have the same problem. Can anyone help us?
Does it work if you change from "full QWERTY" to "Keyboard"? (Sorry, I use a Topaz, but this worked for me.)
EDIT: If so, try disabling both client and server IME (and enabling hardware keyboard input if you want) in the Citrix client.
fixed
I fixed it and posted the fix here under a different title to hopefully be more useful.

I am using VP3g's ROM and am having some xpress mail trouble. I like xpress mail as it provides better functionality than a basic pop setup. I am having three issues.
1: I couldnt find the xpress mail that came with the phone. I searched cingular's site and found what I think to be the correct version. Dont remember the exact title of the file, but it said "WM5" in it. Does anybody have the cab for xpress mail that cam e with the un-official "official" release of WM6?
2: When I try to connect, i get this error: Error S7122: Cannot connect to the server. Please check your connection and try again" ... my connection is fine. nothing else has trouble. The passwords are fine too. When i first set up xpress mail, it pulls all of my messages down no problem... but never works again.
3: When i try to send a message, it will stick in the outbox. But... the person I sent the message to will get copy after copy after copy after copy ... until i remove it from my outbox.
It's a pretty frustrating problem. I'd like to use xpress mail (even though I know the push features are crummy at best) but can't seem to get it right. My issues may be resolved with a simple cab from the lates release from HTC/ATT. If anyone has that and wants to upload it, i will be glad to try it : )
thanks for any help,
Jason
UPDATE (WORKING):
I signed up for SEVEN's beta program. I was able to download a cab for what appears to be the new xpressmail client. This cab was marked intended for the 8125.. but, it works and it works VERY well. Even better than the old one with the REAL official ROM. Cab is attached to this post. hope it helps someone.

I'm using Xpress Mail with the Black Shadow IV WM6 ROM, without any issues. Works well as a matter of fact. I didn't have to do anything "special" to get it to work. Just installed the client on my PC and the 8525 per normal install instructions.
got the issue fixed.
J~
thank you i like xpress mail
Nice lead, I hadn't heard about 7 and it's perfect for what I need. Thanks!

gr8hifi, what did you use for the "connector id" on the user name, password, connector id screen (unless it's personal and not some universal setting)? I assume you got that when you signed up for the beta program?
I've run the reg hack to disable the roaming warning but xpressmail won't delete messages out of my pc's outlook on wm6...they'll delete on the phone but that delete won't get sent back to my pc's outlook. If I flash back to the signed rom off HTC's site that the 8525 came with (so running wm5) it works great and the delete replicates within seconds. I've tried this on quite a few wm6 roms but no joy.
Does your beta version replicate the deletes back to your pc?
thanks!
oh if you still need the xpressmail.cab that you get from the "Get XpressMail" PIE link I'll ftp it up to the upload site
thanks for the program!
has anyone with a comcast email account successfully get SEVEN to push and send email out?
i had to configure my comcast email account through the POP configuration, and then had to manually configure the incoming/outgoing settings. once i did that, it successfully connected to SEVEN. i have no problem sending emails, however, i cannot recieve incoming emails. anyone have any thoughts?
thanks!
I'm using this with my gmail account. For my user name and pwd, i just put in my gmail information. It syncs the mail from my gmail to my phones inbox. If I delete from the phone's inbox, it will delete from my gmail account. I do not have it connected to my desktop email. The only thing I do is, at night, i open my desktop. Then, all of the messages that I left on the phone are downloaded to my desktop. I can then delete them from my phone and they will be deleted from the gmail servers. This is the setup that I am using.
I wish I could be of more help.

Question about Win 6.1 Upgrade - Microsoft Exchange not working and Key Mapping
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am having trouble getting my Microsoft Exchange email to work. The setting used to work before i upgraded. Any thoughts? If i am connected to Activsync, the mail works. If i disconnect activsync, mail wont transmit. Please help here.
Also, i have been reading all the posts on key mapping and i have tried copying the files and rebootting, etc.. but i am still getting some weird signs (Pound sign for @).
Thanks for the help.

Just refer back to post #1374 in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...74890&page=138
It should have the .cab you need to totally remap your keyboard (for US).
As far as Exchange...mine worked fine!
I just installed the certificates from my OWA server onto my Dash (as I have had to do from the beginning) and BAM, works great...
In fact, I think it may work better on the new ROM than the 6.0 I had before...
What specific error are you getting when trying to connect to Exchange?
I got it to work. The problem was my Activesync was blocking the emails from pushing. Once i unchecked Windows PC, it works fine.
Thanks for help.
Hi all,
I've done a search, but I cannot find a solution for my problem. I've been using Opera Mini a long time and I had no problems on my HTC Wizard. I've recently been using my Dash more, and I have used Ricky's ROMs and Kavana's. I finally tried to Synchronize Opera to get to my bookmarks, and I ALWAYS get the message that Authentication Failed (in either of their 6.1 ROMS). It appears that I can't login to any sites. The only other unusual behavior is that if I go to live.com I get some foreign language, as if though my regional settings are off (but I checked and they seem to be US English and other sites are fine). The key mappings appear to be right as the letters and numbers show up okay, but I cannot log in to any site. It appears as if it is some sort of forms or Java error, but I dunno, those are only guesses. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Mark
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone else "Synchronize Opera" with these ROMs?

I may be wrong since I don't use live.com, but I thought it's normal to be in a foreign language? On opera mini, which version do you have, the unsigned or signed version? I'm assuming you have 4.1.
I don't know about live.com - I didn't notice it until after I had this problem, but searches have given evidence others have seen similar behavior. Anyway, the version is 4.1 as you guessed. I have, btw, determined it is an input issue of some sort but I cannot figure out why or what the long term fix is. By going to a form in Opera Mini and then holding down ALT+SPACE, a menu popped up which allowed me to switch from x9t or whatever to abc, and I was able to log in. It appears to not hold over a reboot, though.
The behavior is really, really strange. It acts like it has the wrong keyboard mapping in Opera mini, but switching back to mobile IE the keys all match properly.....
Hi guys,
Bit of an annoying one this that I hope one of you extremely clever registry devs can tweak for me.
When writing emails / text messages i always use the physical keyboard, however I like the XT9 setting as it automatically spell checks and inserts capitals / punctuation etc.
The problem is i can easily set it to XT9 in the settings or by opening the software keyboard and pressing the ABC / XT9 button
or
by using the green function key, space (XT9), XT9 English
but as soon as I've completed my message or turned off the handset etc. it's forgotten, meaning I have to do this manually each time.
Is there any way to set default as XT9 in registry?
Kind Regards
Darren
Anybody got any ideas here? Driving me mad doing it manually every time.
I've just got my new TouchPro2 and I'm suffering from exactly the same problem. I love the new phone but this is the one thing that's driving me nuts!
I used to have it in my TPro and now it's gone missing in the TP2
I know, well you can still use it but many keypresses per use.
Slightly annoying.
I find this highly annoying too. I don't see why it can't be in XT9 as standard or at least just remember the last setting used!?
It's working!!! I've just found out that if you activate T9 in the Full QWERTY virtual keyboard, you'll get it work using the hardware keyboard.
did you not even read the original post?
of course it works like that, however only for that session. as soon as you're done and try and send another text or email etc you'll have to press those buttons again to activate it.
I don't have any problem typing using T9 messages after another using the hardware keyboard...
Even after I soft reset it, it's still working
haha brilliant, worked it out.
Here's the fix...i think.
Open new message in portrait, open software keyboard, click XT9 and then OK to close the window.
Rotate handset and do the same, open software keyboard, select XT9 and quit using "OK".
After this it should default to XT9.
You need to use the OK to close though and save the setting. If you send or cancel your settings will be forgotten.
This will save for all portrait and landscape modes. You'll need to do it for each area but i can agree that i have it saved in texts and emails now.
No more having to repeat actions over and over again.
Edit: seems to only save sometimes, also totally unable to save the XT9 setting in Touchflo conversation mode with text messaging.
bump...
I really enjoy using the functionality of xt9. And subsequently would greatly appreciate it having it available while using the hardware keyboard. any thoughts of having this available by default without having to set it to XT9 each time i open the keyboard
There has to be a registry setting somewhere...

It does "per session" but it does not stick on program close/reset.
boooooooooooooooooooo....man i hope someone can figure this out
Has anyone figured this out? It's really annoying that I have to enable XT9 with several different keystrokes at the beginning of any txt msg...
(Using the 9/14 NRG 2.1 STD ROM.)
HD/WVGA Tweak
On some customer ROM's I have seen a program called WVGA or HD Tweak. I searched and found CAB file for this as well. In this software, there is an option to turn on X9 all the time. You can also set how many suggested words to pop up. It reminds me of how the WING would operate when it suggested words!
Wow, thread starter, you read my mind. I've been looking for something like this since the day I got my phone.

This turns on Windows Default X9, which makes phone SIP & compact qwerty SIP inoperable (only outputs numbers). So, this in no way is a fix.
And, the cab you're referring to is EZInput 1.5 specific, has 0 affect on EZInput 2.x.

same thing happened to me when I tried to use it. Turns the phone SIP inoperable.
no solution for this issue yet? (aka, bump!)
I have been trying to figure out a way to send an address via sms/mms that will do the following:
appear as an address to the reciever
be a clickable link that will open in google maps allowing the reciever to get directions
Is there a way to do this that I am overlooking?

I was thinking about the same thing a few weeks ago. Hopefully someone knows.
Sent from my T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide using XDA App
This is actually done automatically based on the recipient's phone. Test it out yourself. Send yourself a text with an address. When you receive it, you'll be able to click it, and your phone will either automatically search it in Google Maps, or it may ask what you want to do with it, such as store it to a contact etc. This is a per-phone feature though. Many of the Nokia's I use to use had similar features. On our phones, it will also do the same for email addresses, web addresses, and phone numbers that it detects.
Now if you're using a custom rom, this may not happen automatically as it is based on which Messaging app the rom is using. I am using TeamFenix, and after just testing it, it did not recognize the full address, only the ZIP code, and therefore tried dialing the 5 digit number. But I think this did work on the stock messaging app.
But SMS/MMS is pretty limited as it is a strict standard. There are no tags etc that can be added that will be interpreted by a phone differently. That is why it is up the the recipient's phone to simply have it built in to recognize different address and phone number types.
very helpful reply. I found a way to attach a map point, but its not very exact in that it will not let me enter where i want the map point to be. I will figure something out, this phone has a lot of features and I am sure this is one of them.
Its funny you mention that. My friend sent me his address this weekend via sms and included a google maps link and it worked flawlessly, was able to "click" it and it launched maps right to his address. Not sure if me manually put the link in the sms or if the phone did it...
