After quite a bit of on/off action with the back cover, it has gone all limp and doesnt click-on securely anymore, it used to take quite a bit of force to slide it off but now it comes off easily in my pocket, nothing has snapped off by the look of it.
Anyone else had this problem ?
I've took it to a vodafone store and they've ordered me a new back cover but i'm worried it might be the phone.
Same problem here. Let me know if the new cover works for you...
i had that problem.. till i went to the tmobile store and bought a case problem solved..lil bulkier but its work not losing the back cover

Has anyone else had a problem or having a problem with the backing cover? Ever since I took off the back for the first time, it wont fit snug completely to the phone. The right side of it is always popped out a bit. I can push it in and make it flush, but that only lasts for a short time before it is popped up a bit again.. Trying to find out if this is something I should return the phone for or just a design flaw. Thanks
Others had this problem, someone said a post-it folded in half under the cover fixes it. Otherwise you could try foam or something else.

i have replaced the entire casing for my wife's T7373. all seamed to go good. when the phone boots up it is stuck in landscape mode. as if it not seeing a switch or trigger to know that the keyboard is in. also the keyboard lite stays on.
i have taken the phone apart again and still i am not sure where the switch is. all i can see is the metal contact ramps on the ends of the slide.
Any help would be great. "wife not happy"

The sensor is magnetic that 'senses' whether or not the keyboard is open.
iFixIt.com is a great site to help with teardowns/troubleshooting.
thank you , that joged my memory. well at least i hope i can get it fixed or the wife will kill me....
I also need to replace my case, the silver colored edge has cracked in a few places. Might I ask where you got your replacement case from? Any tips you can give from your experience replacing it?
for the replacement of the silver case can you find at http://www.amazon.com/Silver-Housing-HTC-Repair-Replacement/dp/B0052QW60Y
and at http://shop.brando.com/htc-touch-pro-2-replacement-back-cover-silver_p04432c1050d039.html
i got mine off e-bay http://www.ebay.com/itm/370526944677?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
had all the parts i needed, everything worked well. only trouble i had was the the magnet for the screen rotation. remounting the brass screw inserts was fun, what i did was use one the longer screws same size. and heated the brass up and screwed the brass insert in.
other little tips. there will be little plastic parts and need re-secured. i just heated up a end of a T25 to melt the little tabs.
have fun it took me about 2 hours and , had to take part the phone a few times to make sure i got it all right.
I was wondering if anyone else had some backcover flexing. Specifically, right between the camera and the google logo. This is with the standard cover with 1750mhA battery.
It just bothers me a bit because its not perfect. :S
I definitely have some flexing there and for me, if I press my finger to the right of the camera (looking at the back) it flexes and makes a slight clicking noise. Bothers me too and I end up doing it on purpose way too much >< My friend works at the place I bought it and she let me try another back to see if it made a difference but it did the same thing so I think it's normal!
It's good to know that it's not just my phone experiencing this. Thanks of the reply.
Mine doesn't flex at all!
mine does, and the one i replaced did as well, i expect the 3rd one does the same so i didnt go back to exchange it
same to 3 of my frd's
so, if u dont like it, put 2 layers of scrotch tape on the inside of the battery cover around the camera area
Just got my Verizon Note 4 yesterday and of course had to take back off to put battery in....for the life of me I cannot get all the snaps to close on the back cover...If I get them all at the top..I have one two not snapped at the bottom and vice versa...
How in the hell you get the darn back plate to close and snap securely all the way around...? Is there a pattern or tick one needs to follow?
TIA

Insert the bottom tabs 1st. Make sure they're engaged properly then work your way up.

trying my darndest to follow these directions but i have a stubborn clip on the bottom right corner of the back cover. it refuses to house properly, and it's to the point where i've tried forcing it and put a little dent in the cover. it seems like shoddy work, and i'm getting rather frustrated at the fact that i have a back cover that just won't sit properly on the phone.

i know this thread has been knocked back a good amount of pages and i'm not trying to bump for the sake of spamming, but this is definitely an issue for at least two of us on here. nobody else is finding that the back plate doesn't fit properly? i've narrowed it down to being an issue of the bottom two snaps on either side being too close together, most likely from the backplate becoming somewhat deformed. i went into a small local retailer and they made it sound like it was my fault, as though i had removed the backing improperly and caused the issue. i'm going to stop by a larger store later today to see if they'll take a look, but before i go in i want to get some idea of how common this issue is for other people.
so again, is anybody else having trouble closing the phone back up after opening the back cover? is it just me and parcou here who can't seem to get it to fit?
No issue here. I remove my back twice a day and it goes back on with no problem. I just lay it on the device and push it on both sides up near the heart rate monitor until it snaps in place then just go around the edges to make sure it snaps all around. I don't try to line up the top or bottom at all.
Same here
I had the same prob but with a little force an what sounded like a bone break it went on. I have not taking the back off since.
The tab at the top, in the corner, next to the headphone jack will not snap on mine. The back creaks when I squeeze it there, but the gap between the back and the phone just opens back up when I stop squeezing. Does this sound like something I should mention to Verizon? The gap is definitely big enough to allow dirt or moisture to get into the phone.
No problem with mine. placed the battery on and snapped it back together. I had to be showed how to pull the back off. Like they said use the top right corner to do that. - If I remember that right for the side ...
I had the a couple of the clips never seem to click into place. I thought I would break the glass pushing so hard.
I got a black replacement back from Ebay, much more tacky feeling that my original white back. It clicked right into place.

Sorry, no issue here either.
This totally sounds like a back plate problem tho.
Were you able to get your hands on a new back cover or maybe test out a back cover of a display model at a Verizon store?

Sorry about that issue. This is weird since I have no problems. I purchased a battery charger and a second battery and I change batteries everyday and have no issues... thank God.

I've been having that same problem, with both the original backing and the book like car that Samsung makes. The $50 case from Samsung is going back until they're cheaper and I'm just getting something for the back from eBay to cover the open spaces.
Hello,
It's September 2017 - I just got my new old stock Verizon Note 4 and I'm seeing the same back cover problem. Out of the box it was not seated at the bottom edge. I could seat it at the bottom, or top - but not both.
The solution for me was to start by seating the bottom edge and the first clip up both sides. Then I left the rest of the side clips unseated and used my thumbs pressed in the center of the cover to slide it towards the top. I alternated this with working on the top clips and and got one and then the rest seated. I snapped the rest of the side clips in place last.
I hope this helps!
Pete
I knew I should have known better but I did research the local shops around my area before deciding. My Note 10 needed a new battery after dying and I was quoted 50 for a replacement battery by Samsung. I was happy with that and left it for him to sort out, week later I come to pick up the phone with the new battery. It was only back home when I took a photo, that the camera couldn't focus at all on anything at 1x or 2x. Cue me going back and explaining to him about the issue, he looks dumbfounded and even then thought probably just a simple error. Turns out with the back cover off the camera works fine, but when he glues the back cover on again the issue reappears?. So he told me to leave it again, and week later I come back and he's "fixed" it, tells me about the cover applying too much pressure or something so I was OK with the excuse because I just wanted to leave the shop because of nerves but does work after showing me. Again go home, and put the case back on and the stupid camera issue appears. At this point I'm fed up going back and forth, plus it be a case of proving he damaged it which is unlikely however, the guy is super nice but so disappointed in the job he did. Wanted to ask is there anything I can do, anybody who fixes phones aware of this issue?.
If it works with the rear cover off; is it a OEM rear cover and lens protector? Check clearances and for loose or damaged connectors/ribbon cable.
Replace with OEM or after market rear cover seal rather than double sided tape, see if that works.
