Hey Guys, My TP2's screen kinda wiggles back and forth a little when open and tilted .. I was wondering if thats normal. I went back to the shop and made the guy open me a brand new one to make sure, and it had the same problem. Does yours do that too? its the unlocked version.
Thanks allot

I have found another place but i am still looking for the link. This was just a screen and you would have to take the device apart yourself.

I'm still gonna start with the obvious response. Use the search. Its designed to help you! And if you're gonna tell me searching for something as simple as flashing via SD card is hard.....then DAMN! Try this thread:

Thanks for the quick reply I forgot about all the love thrown around this place a Little more friendly over at modmyi but hey thanks for all your trouble
If you flash a new Rom don't you still have to charge it?
Well I had 2 8525's one to keep stable and one to test out all the new Roms on but one got broke in half screen got broke off and then a few days later the other ones connector went to **** so I used the half phone to charge up batteries LOL currently rocking the ever so hated iPhone but love the things that are going on over here now I'll definately get flamed thanks for all the help guys if it's anything at all the iPhone is hacked all to **** or as much as I could still waiting to get touch pro but kind of low on funds right now thanks again
If you have the 2, why don't you make 1 working phone out of the 2 "broken" phones?
Wouldn't that be easier than stuffing around with the batteries, all you'd need to do would be to exchange the mainboard from the one where the LCD has been broken off to the case where you have bad battery connectors.....
Cheers...
I think I actually tried that it's been quite a while do you know if I have to take the screen off to get to the motherboard
4 screws under the battery cover. then 1 screw on mb. Use the HTC service manual to take apart successfully. You shouldn't need to go further than taking off the back. There is a ribbon cable that needs to be taken off the mb, its sealed in under tape. Easy enough to get off.
Cheers...
thanks for the info I will do as soon as I get a chance thanks for all the help

that's cool man, lol....but hey thanks for the link, I actually found the thread with the official latest RUU and just ran the exe.....thanks though!!!
Had the same problem on my phone. took it to an actual sprint repair center and they replaced the lcd.
First off, sorry, I know this is a dying thread buuuut instead of starting a new one I was wondering;
If you haven't taken your phone in could you post a pic, as best you could, of the burn? I thought this was an issue with my screen as well, but when I took my phone in to the Service Repair Center to have this random reboot issue looked at I brought this up. Guy said it was from pressing too hard on the screen .... now I know I've seen LCD monitors that have had this issue, the result of someone smashing their finger into the screen and it sort of looked like this, but I'm positive this isn't the case.
I've seen pictures of others and it looks like mine, so that's what I thought it must be. Guy basically said, with all confidence, that that was the issue. Then he proceeded to tell me to not put the phone in my back pocket and sit on it. Well, no ****. Unless someone sat on my lap and did this, which is unlikely as I would have instantly removed the phone (also the spot probably would have been bigger) so I'm sure that isn't the case. But I couldn't really argue with the guy seeing as to them, the customers never know what they're talking about.
So I guess, long story short guy said he couldn't replicate my reboot issue and said a new battery would fix it. Suffice to say, that wasn't the case and I was able to replicate the issue in 3 minutes once I charged the new battery up. But; could a picture be posted? I've seen pics, now I'm searching and I'm not finding anything .... here and over the interwebs.
If this thread dies, that's fine, am pretty much at the point I'm just going to go through insurance anyways to avoid any run around.
Thanks if ya can, and if not, no big deal.

sure I'll try and post a picture later.....now on mine it's more noticable on a white screen but it can still be seen on darker screens.....it looks like 2 more may be popping up as well.....I may get **** for this, but I have the best buy insurance and I just took it up to them and they are going to send it in for repair or may junk it out for a new one (im waiting to be called back until they have a loaner phone)
Cool man, yeah I too really only notice it on white / lighter screens. Like I said I guess it could be from pressure but another pic I had seen looked similar so that's why I think that's the case, even though he sounded pretty sure. And I wouldn't sit on my phone lol I baby my electronics to the point of it being almost ridiculous. Thanks for the response.

Hi!
I have got a mysterious problem with my screen, it's nearly only white with black dots and somewhat the screen used to change to get a perfect picture when I pushed out the gamepad and now it won't even function at all, just a white screen with black dots all over the screen, and I have asked on another forum, and one giy over at that forum told me that many Xperia Play users have to replace this and that this is the thing to replace in most cases, and I just wanna hear from Xperia Play-owners that have had some problems if this is the case for you as well that you had to replace it to get the screen back:
http://www.mytrendyphone.se/shop/sony-ericsson-xperia-49320p.html
I wonder cause i don't wanna buy the wrong part and dissamble it and later in reassamble it and find out that it isn't still working
And sorry for my bad English, but I hope you understand my problem and that you can help me out.
Thanks in advance.
With best regards, RazerBlader
Sorry for posting once again, and yes moderators and all others, consider this a bump as I really need to get the right part so I just don't take it apart to realize it was the wriong thing that I did replace, and I consider it to be enough days that has been since I posted my first post to post this bump as I already wanted my device working again days ago =/
Well, i still got the same question, have I found the right part to replace for my screen-problem?
And if no ones answers now, I will just buy some tools and the part that I have linked to and reed about that it can be and hope and pray for the best at the same time.
thanks in advance for answers.
best regards RazerBlader.

Thanks for the answer, I had a little hope it was anyone going to answer so I have already open it up once, and I wonder, is the slider flex cable the one that I linked to or can you post a link to that kind of cable?
Tanks in advance, I appreciate it a lot!

OMG..!!! The very subject line made me think outside of phones!!!! Sorry, don't mean to be mean, just giggling.
Did you try taking it to the service center?
I agree it is pretty funny. But i dont have any warranty for the phone so I was just going to change it out myself assuming it was not too difficult. But i cannot find a write up or anything like that. So any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank You

Same here.
I'd suggest using Krazy Glue or any form or Cyanoacrylate to secure it in place.
Well, i opened up the phone yesterday to see if it had come loose. but it is still held in place with its double stick tape. So i assume it's broken on the inside. So i will be ordering a new and gluing it into place hah.
