My new P3600 - which ROM for wm6

Hi everyone,
at last i get my P3600 HTC.
Now i would like to update the ROM to WM6.
I'd prefer to install an official ROM like the DOPOD one from ASIA.
Could you pls tell me where to get this ROM and the utility that let me install this ROM on an HTC device.
And the i heard that someone has bricked his device using this ROM, it is real?

I have Ax3l, which is one of the most stable...

It's one of the most stable Rom I ever had... I tried all of them... They hav all their spaciality but Ax3l is simple and has only the most important things in it. All the rest can added seperatly.
This rom works with all software you can download.

i've update as written in the link you gave me.
now i want to come back to the offial wm5 rom but when i enter in the bootloader mode it says "serial" and not USB so i can't do any other update
how can i do?

just in case, have you tried unplugging and replugging back in the usb cable?

using it for nearly a day now, i can only say: i am amazed!
not that i dont appreciate all the stuff from our amazing cooks!!!! , but this rom is by far simply the best working!!!!!!!
fast and responsive throu all i do with it! no little "aw, this aint workings"
all i am missing, i simply customize via cabs from the collections.
just on the side: feels to me "loading the battery" is more "solid" here - takes a little longer, but in combination with an originally implemented radio rom....this makes me think....works better than all the "draining roms".
just my opinion a.t.m

Do you know what IPL and SPL is it about?

Artemis without any rom!! Can't install or upgrage.
My HTC P3300 won't start i cannot detect any rom on it. tried installing a rom via the bootloader screen and it still doesn't work. i seriously need help

Orange Diamond Hard SPL problem

Guys,
Currently stuck with 1.37 orange ROM on my orange HTC Touch and want to replace the ROM with one of these new up to date ROMS but I have a problem :-(
Have downloaded HardSPL_Olinex137_Unsigned.zip to flash the phone but when doing this all I get is the phone sittong at 0% and doesnt process the update!!!
Have followed all the checks before updating but just wont move from 0%!!!
Any ideas would be great!

I had this issue and so use the 1.24 SPL and have had no problems at all on my Orange Diamond

1.24 Works Fine On Orange

HardSPL also comes with the software unlocker hspl v1.23 or 1.24. so if you have done the software unlock, that means you have already upgraded to the best hardspl. if not go for the unlocker, very easy to use and comes with complete instructions.
problem you are getting might be due to bootloader or usb problem

just tried running v1.24 from the above link given by liamhere and is still just sitting at 0% when running update.
which part is the unlocker? Sorry just a newb to the HTC ROM updating

1.24 didn't work on my orange (stuck on 0%). 1.40 worked fine.

If I remember correctly connect diamond to PC adn then double click on diamond_sspl and follow the instructions, then run the RUU in the 1.24 folder by double clicking on it.

Upgrading an official ROM question

Hi there all im new around here.. kinda new with the PDA phones also Diamond is my first one so.. sorry but i have just 1 question..
I read the tutorials mostly ... i know i gotta upgrade first a Hard SPL if i want to be able to install a custom ROM afterwards..
I want just to upgrade my ROM with the Official one from HTC site the latest one.. and i dunno.. do i need to upgrade the HardSPL in order to upgrade with the official ROM ??
And if yes.. what version of Hard SPL do i need to upgrade to first ? if i upgrade with Hard-SPL 1.40 Olinex SIGNED will the latest Official ROM work fine ?

Hi when i wanted to upgrade to new stockrom i could´t do it without hardspl
im using 1.24 it works like a charm..

When upgrading a manufacturer ROM to a newer release of the SAME manufacturers ROM, you don't need HardSPL.

My phone is danish now, Can i change it to english via official rom?
how can i get the rom from htc web site?

most likely english will not install on your device. to make it happen, you need to install OliNex HardSPL first.
this will enable you to flash any rom afterwards.
where to get rom? just use search engine on this site or internet, you will find what you are looking for.

ok well my ROM is in french.. cuz i bought the phone from France.. and i want to upgrade the rom to the official 1.93 one english.. i gotta install the HardSPL first so i can upgrade the ROM in english ??

Yes, if you want to flash different ROM (even official, like FR to WWE) you need HardSPL.

I was gonna say this has already been posted. Top job guys. I've now got the image stored to internal storage for flashing between cooked roms and as a backup. Currently running it though whilst waiting for yozgatg's new rom on wednesday.

Think this will work on the non o2 diamond?
I use it on o2.

can you post what is build number of this rom? how is it? i also wonder if it works on unbranded htc diamond...

build 20779.. the SYS and XIP worked in a cooked rom in my diamond.

As long as the device is SIM unlocked, then yes, this'll be fine.
