Did you stop to read the top 10-15 threads in this forum you posted your request in?
You somehow missed two very large threads about custom 6.5 roms, an yes, there is a cdma version, but you will have to read the threads to become familiar with them.
Two different ROMS, make sure you read an find the information you need, its
ALL there.

I tried looking around and really couldnt find any information for n00bs to help them cook there own roms.
could someone please advise me where this information is available or if someone can do a breif guide on what to do and how?
dont meen to ask TOO much but its really been buggin me.

I have been trying to make my own for awhile and no luck until a couple nights ago I finally got something "cooking".
I found I ended up using two or three different programs to cook with since they all seem to do a little different.
Sorry I can't personally be of more help but you are going to have to search and read since no one will probably take the time to make it "super easy".

Start with the wiki. There are now a number of ROM kitchens that make cooking "relatively easy" to where we were a few months ago.
My suggestion would be to find the threads in the Development & Hacking forum and simply read through them to build up your knowledge base. This will take some time so be prepared.

Search the Wizard thread for Faria's Kitchen, it has lots of information about cooking a ROM. Just remember that most of things might be the same for Hermes, but you cant put a wizard ROM on hermes and vice versa. Good luck, keep searching and reading. Follow the link in my signature as needed.

Been so fustrated tring to find places for tutorials I forgot what I posted where.
I thougt someone may have a dummies way of cookin roms ready so they can post it as a reply on a new topic and it can be eaiser for others to find this solution.
It obviously now seems like there is ALOT of reading to do on this, and in multiple places.

I've searching and reading throughout the forum regarding upgrading the i780 to wm6.1. I am extremely confused. I have the official upgrade pack on my pc, but i have no clue on what settings to put into mirage. I understand i must use xp with mirage, but will anyone kindly guide me or help me with the process? please!

I am trying to nail this down. Do I need to do the Hard SPL for my CDMA TP2? If the answer is yes, I can go from there. I have upgraded recently from my Mogul (tytn II) and didn't have to (if memory serves) bother with this process to flash ROMs.
My second question: I've seen alot of post about a ROM "cooker" (I can't remember the actual title) it basically looks like a GUI based ROM creator. Does this mean I can de-construct and mash up my on ROMs?
I'm sorry if these have been answered before, but i have been looking all over the board for these answers, and keep finding conflicting answers.

Yes, there are people that Cook rooms, I believe that Cooker is refered to as the kitchen. I do a lot of Flashing, but have never attempted to Cook my own. I would sugest you play around with Flashing some of the more Common ROM's before you head down the Kitchen path
Ok so i flashed the Hard-SPL and it went ok. When i went to flash the ROM I, wanted everytime I tried to open the CustomRUU windows pops up and says "ROM UPDATE UTILITY has stopped working" and then proceeds to attempt fix the problem but nothing ever happens.

Dude you will need to specify what OS you have on you're computer when you pose us this issue you are now having..
i'm sure you will also need to install .net 2.5 and 3.5, Also i'm sure this is all detailed in the flashing for noobs forum HERE.

Can you please post in the threads that are already open for these issues, yknow you're hard spl question, Why not post in the HARDSPL thread we have open.. Now you're flashing issue, Why not post inside the flashing for noobs thread instead of opening multiple threads.

OK i have the HTC Tilt 2 with AT&T, Windows Mobile 6.5 with TF3D need anymore info just post here again.
I havent posted in already created threads because they are liek 500 pages long and in other forums I am on they dont do that so not used to it.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, I'm just saying you should post you're question in the thread appropriate for the issue.
You're hardspl issue, you should have posted in the Hardspl thread here
and you're flashing issue you should post that question in the Flashing for noobs thread here.
We're always ready to help anyone here on xda but i'm just trying you help you understand that you're questions could also be answered in the other already open threads instead of opening a whole new thread.

I have a touch 6900 or vogue... and would like to know if this can run win mo 6.5. I have flashed custom roms, it and it looks like it is win mo 6.0. And the roms dont seem to work w/ what I have
I am activated on metro
can someone prvide me a link for 6.5. I have searched the forums and cannot find a link for it.
Will this change my phone settings? Metro cannot flash 6.5 only 6.1 seems like

Do some searches, and you'll find your answer. 6.5 ROMS for this phone have been available for a long time.
Am I correct that 6.5 is the windows operating system? if so I need a limk to get the updated operating system I have done countless searches
or am I just an idiot and all these 6.5 roms will work on windows 6.0??

All roms in this forum are wm 6.5.
so back to my first question can someone provide a link to get wm 6.5 on touch vogue or is that not do-able??
It is very do-able and you are already on the right page for it. Any post with more than 100 replies most likely contains a 6.5 Rom for the HTC Touch.
