Screen Calibration - Hero, G2 Touch Android Development

Hey all,
I've been having some issues with the home screen and doing a long press to remove a shortcut/widget, which is especially apparently the lower half of the window. I've also go the issue that i can't use the Input calibrator inside Touch Input Settings as it Force closes the second i press start.
Anyone know how to calibrate the screen? Adversely it may well just be this ROM (Drizzy 2.0) so I'll see if an update fixes that

[Q] Touch Screen goes nuts after root/bloatware removal?

I recently rooted my phone and removed some bloatware (all backed up btw) mainly the ones on the safe list in the thread posted about it here. I don't know if that is what is causing the following problem, but just to preface that if so.
I noticed it yesterday when I was trying to type something using swype, when I finished letting go the screen started to randomly tap and drag letters without me even touching it. I stopped had to turn the screen off/on to get it to stop. I also notice that if I hold the phone vertically and move it around a bit it starts to drag the home screens back and forth. Also when I am at the phone menu it's hard to tap the exact number I want. If I tap 5 say, it will randomly either tap 5 or 8. It's liek it's not calibrated.
So I go to the display to calibrate it and it kind of sort of alleviates some of the other issues, but I still have inaccurate touces. Is it a program I removed perhaps from htc that is necessary for the screen. Do I need to update the firmware on the rooted one?

Touchscreen Scrolling Problems.

I've just updated to ARHD 7.1.0 and since the upgrade I am having issues with the touch screen.
It doesn't seem as sensitive as it was before. When I'm in the People app and I want to scroll to the bottom usually one quick swipe down would get me there but a quick swipe is now only taking me a few contacts down. Its the same in all apps (such as Spotify when scrolling through Playlists).
I have tried recalibrating the touch screen but this hasn't made any difference. Any ideas would be appreciated.
is it charging? i find my touchscreen becomes pretty useless and unresponsive when charging

[Q] Post Jelly Bean Issues Here!!

Is anyone having Jelly Bean issues? I am having the following issues:
1) Marking Messages as Read. If I have an unread message and the Messaging app is open under the home screen, if I use the lock screen shortcuts to open Google Now, it marks the message as read and then opens Google Now. It never did this on ICS.
2) Home Button Issues. If the screen turns off and I hit the home button to turn it on, it goes directly to the home screen. On ICS, it would just go to the most recent app (I have mostly avoided this happening again by enabling S Voice, but there's got to be a solution). Also, when I hold down the home button to open the Recent Apps screen, it will sometimes go to the home screen, and then open Recent Apps. Also, sometimes there is a delay between when I close an app and when it shows up in the Recent Apps screen.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Your help would be much appreciated!
I'm running FreeGS3 with Ktoonz 10/28 kernel and the blue battery bubble icon (with mod file flashed first) and I have the following issues.
1) The LED isn't as bright when on the charger when the phone is on... the red and green are quite dim. No issues when the phone is off (believe this is directly related to the JB ROM itself.
2) After 7 hours on the charger the battery was charged to 98%, When I was running w/o either the kernel or battery morph no issues.
3) Something took away the boot animation as I have just a black screen after the Samsung Galaxy SIII screen until you see the home screen.
Thanks in advance for detailed answers
Home button
I also had the same issue with the home button since s voice was frozen, enabling s voice double tap seemed to be the only way to fix. Hopefully a way that does not require s voice is found soon.

Long press not working anymore on some parts of the screen

Hi,
The title speaks for itself.
Big issue here, long-press on the screen of my D855 doesn't work anymore.
Touchscreen is fine but long-presses just acts like a normal press.
I can't tell when exactly this bug started but it's really annoying since some actions can't be done without it (can't move icons, play specific games, etc...)
The lower end of the screen works fine tho (navigation buttons and apps dock) but everything above don't.
Some rare times it works with no particular reason.
Can someone help me with this ?
Is it hardware or software related ? (updating firmware to V21a didn't solved my issue).
Bu chance u aint got a glass protector on do you
No glass protector.
Stock Rom.
This is a really weird bug because it works 1 time after a "pinch to zoom" for exemple and then again it stops working
Off top of my head try if ure rooted xposed like g3tweakbox or gravity box one of 2 change long press behavior or or goto acseability and change touch feed back time to short
I have the same problem, whenever I scroll down/up, it goes directly at the bottom/top. Sometimes, it goes back to normal, I don't even know why but frequently it goes back to the problem. I had already gone to Accessibility, ..., set it to slow and it seems not to work. What to do? :/

Question Swiping Down For Notifications When In A Call

Anyone notice it turns the screen off? I think the proximity sensor thinks your face is going against the screen and the display turns off but it's really annoying when your trying to access things from the notifications.
Hello my friend!
I have the same phone as you, and I'm sorry but I'm not having any problems the likes of which you describe.
May I suggest the following?
1. Restart phone in safe mode (now this will vary based on your Carrier: on my unlocked Google issued phone, I press Power and Vol UP at same time; Verizon is Power and Vol down, others may be different: Then on the menu that pops up, press and hold Reset and it'll ask you if you want to restart in safe mode, hit yes, then restart)(SafeMode will display on screen). Then call someone and try to recreate the "black screen, can't pull down notification window". If you can pull it down (as I suspect you will be able) then it's an app problem you've got (not a hardware or system issue)
2. Try going to Settings: Apps: Special App Access (way at the bottom of the screen) and then try finding either Display Over Apps applications or Picture-in-Picture apps or other groups that may interfere with your Phone app. I bet you'll find that there's an app or utility you've installed that is conflicting with your screen.
Let me/us know how it goes!

Click to collapse
Yeah, every phone does this if you have your finger over the sensor. Find a better spot to drag down.
