I need to change the settings in a Samsung SGH-i637 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

I have just replaced my Samsung SGH-i616 (Blackjack 2) which is on the Fido network, with an unlocked Samsung SGH-i637 (Jack) which was an AT+T phone. I put my Fido sim card into the new "Jack" and the phone works as a phone, but it will not send or receive e-mail, it will not log on to the internet, the call display does not work, etc. It will connect only through Wifi if I am near an access point. It appears as though I can't access my data plan with Fido. How can I remove or change any of the AT+T settings?

Internet Sharing (Tethering) - AT&T Branded - Carrier Unlock

A while back, AT&T began offering unlock codes to Lumia 900 owners who either bought the phone outright or had satisfied the requirements of their contract. This has opened the door to using this device on other GSM carriers.
If you are using AT&T as your carrier, or an AT&T MVNO (such as Straight Talk or Net 10), you might want to stop reading. I was a subscriber to Straight Talk and never got Internet Sharing to work on my Lumia. Proceed at your own risk of frustration.
This thread is intended to carefully document my experience getting Internet Sharing to work on my carrier unlocked Lumia 900.
If you wish to enable Internet Sharing:
Call AT&T and ask for an unlock code. If you do not have a competitor SIM, you can produce the Unlock code prompt by dialing ##782# from the dialpad.
Connect your phone to a PC and backup your photos, videos, and music. You'll be doing a Hard Reset soon.
Remove the SIM and replace with a non AT&T SIM, such as T-Mobile.
Perform a Hard (Factory) reset by going to Settings -> About -> More Info -> Reset.
Perform the initial setup tasks using the advanced mode.
Press and hold POWER to turn the phone off. After 30 seconds, turn phone back ON.
After 1-2 minutes of the phone being powered on, be sure you have a data signal; verify this by opening a browser and navigating to a website.
After verifying you have a data signal, attempt to enable Internet Sharing. Go to Settings -> Internet Sharing -> ON. The phone should show the Wait indicator for 5-10 seconds and then present the Wireless AP name, encryption type, and password. You can change these settings.
A word of warning: Do -not- install the Network Setup app. This will break Internet Tethering and lock your phone down tighter than Fort Knox. If for some reason install Network Setup out of curiosity (as I did), and break your tether, just do a hard reset and repeat the steps above (sans the AT&T unlock code entry business.) The Lumia should grab all the network setup data it needs from the inserted SIM at first boot. If you change SIMS, you'll need to do another hard reset; it is speculated that the LUMIA does not update network settings when a new SIM is inserted.
More Information
Interesting development: when the phone is displaying 4G data connectivity, Internet Sharing turns on successfully. When the phone switches to LTE, internet sharing is not possible; the AT&T message is displayed.
It did not work for me. My Lumia 900 RM-823 was already carrier unlocked and upgraged to Windows Phone 7.8. Tried twice after reseting to factory settings and started from scratch.
Anyone else had any luck?? If yes, could you please specify how it was done??
THANK YOU, patrick. Followerd your instructions and "Voila!". Unlocked Lumia 900 AT&T

No luck on my end either. I had upgraded and installed the Nokia Network Setup to access the 4G on Tmobile, but even after a hard reset I am still unable to access internet sharing....
Anyone?
it seem that if when the cellular network is under LTE. the internet sharing wont turn on and that message about call 611 comes up.
but if you network select t-mobile under the cellular setting. the internet sharing works. but only for a moment until the cellular network automatically switches back to the LTE network.
that's what i've notice so far. anyone else?

it seems that as long as it read 4g at the top corner. you can access the internet share menu.
another thing i notice is that if you connect another device to the nokia 900 and the cellular service switch to LTE your device still has internet option.
so it seems the problem here is making sure you are in the 4g network for you to have the internet share menu to work for you.

After getting the unlock code and putting in a t-mobile sum card the tethering would work on the t-mobile network. Interestingly enough it would not work on the at&t network because I was not paying for that and it would tell me to call.
AFTER, I installed the Nokia network app and selected at&t LTE it would tether.
Internet Sharing (Tethering locked to at&t) Lumia 900 Unlocked
I have a Lumia 900 and it is unlocked and works with other SIM cards all over the world. OS is 7.10 and firmware 2175.2307.8862.13100.
I have factory reset the phone to try and get the tethering to work but it will not. I get a message (CONNECTION NOT SHARED_ to enable tethering on this device, go to att.com/mywireless or dail 611). How can i get around this to get the internet sharing to work ?? I got the APN info from my service provider and i can use internet explorer on the phone using the data from the sim.
PLEASE HELP, SO THAT I CAN TETHER THE SIM CONNECTION TO ANOTHER DEVICE.

[Q] NO SERVICE messages. Please Help!

Hi All,
I have a Canadian T989D from Koodo mobile which I unlocked using unlock code. I took it abroad to Pakistan and after using for 6 months, one day all of a sudden I got NO SERVICE.
Trying to manually select networks, I come across different networks available but clicking on any one of them results in NETWORK REGISTERED sign but still doesn't connect to any network. When I go into the APN settings, I can see different APN settings for the respective sim cards that I put in. E.g. If I put UFONE sim card in, I can see APN settings for UFONE SERVICE PROVIDER.
Here is the twist though. I came back to Canada yesterday and when I put any Canadian Sim in it (FIDO/VIRGIN), it connects to the network without any problems.
Next, I tried T-Mobile sim in the phone. At first few attempts I would receive NO SERVICE/EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY messages. However, just recently I was able to connect to the network by repeatedly changing sim cards and restarting the phone.
So the specific questions to all of you is that "Why can't I connect to ANY network in PAKISTAN when I can see the APN settings for each sim card I put in?" Is there something I can do to fix the issue? I have a running sim card from PAKISTAN with me which I had previously used to connect to the network. Please help/guide me.
Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Cannot get 3G on my phone to come on and stay on

I rooted my Spring Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920P) running Android 6.0.1 and I unlocked it. I want to use it in my local CDMA network, but when my phone company activated it along with 3G strangely I have signal (i.e. can make calls or send SMS messages), but my 3G does not really work. 3G only comes up for a few moments (as seen at the top bar) when Hands Free Activation (HFA) is trying to work (it eventually fails), or if I go to "Activate Device" in my setup it comes on for a little while too and then goes back off. If I disable HFA then 3G never comes on at all. Why can't I disable HFA and keep 3G connected?
Also, if I take out the Spring SIM (which is useless here since we do not have Sprint here), it tells me I should insert a SIM. Why is it requiring a SIM if I have my preferred network set to: CDMA?
I am really bummed about this after all I have been through, there must be some way to have it not require a SIM and not require activation for 3G?
You need the proper apn setup for your carrier. You should also get a sim card from your carrier, if they use them. If not, try taking out the sprint sim and doing the uicc unlock.

Connect P607T to Internet with a regular T-Mobile sim card (unlimited 4G LTE)?

Good morning!
I recently bought Samsung Note 2014 10.1 (5.1.1) P607T.
Because the tablet has a feature to send and receive txt messages I inserted my sim card from the cellphone. It worked, but 4G LTE internet didn't (symbol is on, arrows blinking but won't let you go anywhere just sometimes t-mobile page pops up). TMobile said the tablets have a special plan, means the moment they will turn it on, my number would be gone or I should register an additional line.
I found it kinda archival strategy, I surf internet on my cellphone for 500GB, tablet just a bigger phone. What a ..... secondary why would you offer txt/mms feature on your tablet if it won't work.
I released, since the broadband gives you the ability to actually "connect" 4G LTE via regular sim card there should be a way around how to make it work.
The moment I insert my sim card in S7 internet works without problem. Back to tablet - blocks and sometimes sends to a page where with the statement that they won't be able to give me an internet.
My guess:
Since the 4G LTE symbol is on, arrows are blinking and they send me to that page the connection actually works. How do they block me? I have a guess that they block me because they recognize that I'm connecting from my tablet.
The way how they recognize my tablet (as I guess), by IMEI, and maybe by Model and Serial Number (unless they left some other "marks" in their build for this tablet). So, if I will root my device and will use something like IMEI Engineer app to change IMEI, model and serial to my old S6 cellphone (which I still have, it's just bugging) , it suppose to work?
Any advice would be highly appreciated!

S20+ no network

I just bought a used Verizon S20+ that is unlocked. When I put in a visible sim (or cricket) it doesn't seem to want to connect to their network. In settings I can change from Global to LTE/utms etc and when selecting Visible it just says registering on network and never finishes. I reset the network settings, but to no avail.
The sim is provisioned and works in other unlocked phones so I know it's something specific to this one.
