Hello, i have a Samsung i780 with WM 6, can i upgrade the os to WM 6.5 is it possible ?
Can you give me a tutorial how to start, where can i find the new WM 6.5, what must i observe `?

take a look around: there are some roms with wm 6.5 working on i780

As someone else noted, it works fine - I've had about 3 different roms on my device.

Try it and let us know. 6.5 is a leak at the moment so most of us have no or little experience with it.
If it was that simple, I am sure you would see tons more 6.5 roms available.
Been searching these and other forums for a while but can't see any references to WM6.5. Has anyone seen this post:

heres a 6.5 rom for the samsung i780
does it keep the keyboard function are there anything that its missing as far as functionality on an omnia?

im running this 6.5 rom on my omnia the samsung keyboard and finger mouse work with this version
the only thing i can see that is missing is office mobile ie pocket word and pocket excel. These can be installed separately so it is not a problem.

the phone pad function??? but you install samsung keyboard after?? or the keyboard was already in the ROM?? I tried to install samsung keyboard after...but omnia sayd "installation was unsuccessful the program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permissions"..can someone help me please???

Hi Shokka - does the carrier matter? I have Verizon. I'm just getting used to the finger mouse - but can live w/o to test the 6.5 ROM you've done..

New to this forum and relatively new to WinMo so first question here... Will this 6.5 ROM work on the Samsung i760.
I would be very interested to know if anyone has found any for the Omnia I910, as the I900 roms will brick your phone.

Yes you can, I tried many 6.1 ver. softwares on my 6.5 wmobile.So go without fear....

I have tried to cook a WM6.5, but Samsung display drivers does not work with new windows and there are some other things that does not go well.
Maybe I will try once again when official WM6.5 Standart will appear.

That would be something. I have a i617 and it's using a cooked 6.5 ROM, but its clock doesn't auto update and its task manager sucks. So I am going to flash it back to 6.1
Who knows from where WM 6.5 OFFICIAL can be downloaded?
Official for the hermes? Nowhere. WM6 is the latest 'official', it's an older device.

This is still a custom rom and I thik it can not be used for initial flash

If it will not work, how did all of the 6.5 cooked roms manage to run? The hermes just barely meets the minumum specs.
Actually it's not going to be released "officially" because it's an old device, and support is going away for it.
6.0 is the last official release for our device.
The information written above we have from HTC E-Club.
When I asked when will be the official wm6.5 Hermes.
Ahh, ok. That must be their way of saying that they aren't going to make it for the hermes lol
