Hi xda-developers,
I have been reading about this new Windows Mobile 6.5 and TouchFlo 3D 2.5 and think they both look pretty good! I was wondering if there is any way to switch between the two? I mean like dual booting a computer with Windows or Mac, is there any way to do this with Windows Mobile and TouchFlo 3D? Windows mobile 6.5 looks pretty good and once it's released I'd like to have a go with it though I'd also like to use TouchFlo 3D 2.5. Any idea's would be great! I've had a search and I can't find anything although I'm not really sure what I should be searching!
Thanks for any help!
yes there is....
Settings>Today & disable TouchFLO 3D on the today screen. That's all it is... a plugin on the today screen that integrates in to the phone.
Brilliant! Thanks very much! That's excellent!

hi there, i need/want a theme for my xda so i can have a windows Longhorn look on my mobile, i have tried a program called eXPerience, which is like a windows XP skinning program, but i have seen pics before, but cannot find anything now, i Love longhorn and have it on my desktop pc, and would like my xda2s to look the same... 8)
anyone know of a programe that will do this???
Hmm.. I love my PDA to look pretty, but in my experience, skinning things just makes the devie even less stable.
Joey Jojo,
I have some of the Longhorn bits like the Start menu and the "Windows" background. I think there is a program called WISBAR that is like skinning for the PPC. I will have a look later today to see if this is the case.

i just saw the demo of the TouchFLO software for the HTC Touch.
Does anybody know if this also will work on the Artemis?
And is it already available?
Thanks!
no it's not possible on the artemis cause they use a differend kind a touchscreen.
but i really like the shortcutscreen with pictures to dial. i hope someone can make it available for the artemis
spb mobile shell has a pic dialer
there's a file called todayphoto.cab i think, that's a home screen plugin where you can just touch the picture to initiate a call. has limitations, but works

I don't think so. It must be the same technology.
Ich you think of Apples Multitouch: HTC Touch doesn't have it.
I have been shown a bandango video of an S200 working flawessly with touchflo interface.
Sorry not to have the url.
If touchflo runs on a S200 screen, it should run also on artemis
What i dont know is if it would run only under WM6, or also under WM5
Hi, I've just had a quick look at the Elf/Touch on youtube, very very nice. So it has finger scrolling of all lists kinda like Larna's iContacts. I just downloaded a rom dump from the touch and it looks like if I had any idea at all what I was looking at there might be a dll or an exe or something else that could just be copied into my orbit so I could have that lovely scroll thing, Yeah and the contacts app looks really good as well. The animated launcher cube looked nice but spb mobile shell comes close at least in a utilitarian way in functionality.
The rom dump was dead easy to find by searching in the Elf forum. Would be nice if a brain could have a sniff through it.
Can HTC Touch related stuff like the TouchFLO run on Windows Mobile 2003? Anyone tried it yet?
- TKN
It doesn't even run on WM5 devices so I think it's safe to say that 2003 is outta the question.
thinking of using 6.5 Today instead of HTC Sense (AKA TouchFlow) - does anyone know if this will help with battery life and if so how much?
Cheers
I dont know, but i found the phone to be quicker.
TF3D is useless (imo). But WinMo 6.1 was a bit too pre-historic for my liking.
WinMo 6.5 GUI FTW.
i use today and spb mobile shell way better than htc
Has there been a cooked WinMo Pro rom for the dash? I was trying to install Fennec onto my Dash with the 3vo 6.5 rom and it is not working. Checked the site and it is for WinMo Pro. Any help would be appreciated.
I used to try fennec, but it didn't work on DASH! Fennec is for Windows Mobile Pro (on POCKET PC with touch screen). DASH uses Windows Mobile Standard (for non-touch mobile). So, I think there's no one cook WinMo Pro for Dash! Sorry for my poor English!
I don't think you should be trying to flash a rom for ppc into a smartphone unless your trying to brick your phone! just a thought!
