Het, I saw on the Google code site that the Android developer challenge was starting in Sept and that users would be able to download an app to test/rate the apps entered. Any ideas on when this will be and also what the app would be called? Thanks

Hey guys, I'm kind of at a loss here. I bought ROM Manager Premium on 9/2 and shortly after I bought it I lost my phone and was shipped a new one. The problem is that I can't reinstall ROM Manager Premium even though the purchase is listed in my "Google Checkout" list and the first google account I set up on my phone was the account associated with this purchase. I've sent several messages to Koushik (December 30th, January 7th and January 17th -- I'm not spamming him or anything) but have not heard anything back from him.
Does anyone know of another way to regain the features I've already paid for? It is a great app, and well worth the price, but I can't afford to buy it each time I wipe or replace my phone. Somehow the market is broken.
Thanks in advance!
Have you dowloaded both the premium license and the free application from the market? The premium license is just a key, you still need the application to get the features.
Hey John, I don't have an option to download the license. In the market I only see Rom Manaer and Rom Manager Premium. If I select Premium it tries to bill me $5 again.
Download free version and install from market, download the rom manager file from your gmail and install that, the one in your gmail is the licensing file to upgrade the free version to full version.
You would have received more help regarding this if you posted in Q&A
If you are certain you used the same google account both times, it is a google issue not a developer issue. I don't know how to contact the people responsible for the market, but google does have an extensive help site. A quick search yeiled this article with a few items to try: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=0da4dcf702dbb2d2&hl=en
Are you logged into google talk with the same google account? For some reason there is a link between the Accounts, Market, and Talk...
If that does not work, IDK... I've never had an issue with the purchased apps repopulating...

IMO I think it is appropriate to ask a question about the market which is an app and a purchased app in a forumn titled "Themes and Apps."

Seems to me that Q&A would be more suited to something like "What is rom manager?" than a problem I'm having with the apps market and rom manager but to each their own...
Unfortunately I don't have the email with the file any more and there is no option to resend it.
Hi everyone.
I recently went to the playstore and downloaded a few applications for my new HTC One X (Which I looooove btw)
Problem is though, I think as I downloaded it, a virus or an advertising program was installed with it.
When I check my notification list once in a while it has a download ready called something like "Miniskirtmania" and as I try to get it away, or clear the list, it starts downloading onto my phone. I clicked on it to see where it would bring me and it seems like its to some website, but my phone is blocking me from going to that website as it is not from the application store or whatever.
Arent there a way to get rid of this stupid thing? I deleted the application which I thought it was, but it still keeps coming. Cant I block the thing or?
I really hope you can help as its driving me crazy
Try logging into market dot android dot com (Sorry, I don't have enough posts on this forum to post a direct link yet ) using the same Google Account as you've used to log into Play Store with and sorting it from there.
Else, go to Settings, Applications, Google Play Store and clear the App Data in there.

And what should I do if it doesnt help?
Any suggestions then? :&
Backup everything and do factory reset.
Or there is one Lookout app which tell you what apps are using adds.
Or delete all apps that you installed.
Just in case download some "antivirus" app and scan your mobile, I now many will tell there is no way that virus will be in android, but as you can see here, experts nows their job, somewhere may be one looking for shortcut in underground.
I always check reviews to see what other are saying about any app before downloading.
p.s. sending from my small nexus so didnt see that you already done some steps. Sorry.

Actually many will tell you there are viruses and that these "anti virus" apps are useless. google normally pulls these infected apps way before they get picked up by the apps.

I can login on the Starbucks app, but says incorrect login info when I try with wearbucks.
I guess Starbucks did something with their backend systems. The Wearbucks app isn't official so won't have heads up to any changes. I hope the dev can update the app but even if not then I'll just use the official app to check my balance and top up and the Wearbucks to pay.
Hey guys,
I've recently found out about the Disa.im app (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Disa-im-Dis...s&ie=UTF8&qid=1424421372&sr=1-4&keywords=disa) which was not on the Amazon Appstore as yet but has just been released following my feedback
The current version, I'm told, is a test version (0.5.2) and the proper app will be available in a couple of hours (version 0.5.3). Plugins don't work in 0.5.2, so give it a chance to update first.
I've sideloaded this app previously and it's a breeze to use. Being able to unify my Whatsapp, SMS and Facebook messages all in one place is quite awesome! I believe they are currently working on official Telegram support too. The Facebook and SMS plugins are official and the Whatsapp plugin isn't, but can be downloaded through the app by scanning a QR code found here: https://plus.google.com/113199831506595147063/posts/dffbknJLmvp
See the website here, from where you can also go to the Google+ community: www.disa.im
Remember that this app is in beta and some features might be missing, but it's already working very well.
If there's any comments that are Fire Phone specific, perhaps we can gather them in this thread in one place so that I may pass them to the developers. I've already suggested a 3D icon and listing of messages on the carousel below the icon.
Cheerio!
¡¡IMPORTANT!! -I'm not the developer of this app, or affiliated with the devs. Just want to share my experience
Hi everyone,
One of my biggest problem with the fire tv stick was to find the apks of the android tv version of an app, which usually isn't the same apk that you have installed on your phone (and are impossible to find ). I found this app called YalpStore that basically lets you download apps from the play store as an android tv device and doesn't require Google play services.
How to use:
-Download the app from xda labs and sideload it on your fire tv
-Open the app, click on the menu button on your remote and select "search"
-if asked, select "log in without google account"(experimental)
-to navigate inside the app, you may need the "mouse toggle" app to emulate a mouse pointer (or a Bluetooth mouse)
Install the apps and enjoy
Link from xda labs:

Hope it is useful
I just found this app too. Using my google account I was able to download apps that I have paid for and directly load the and install the app. There is a tutorial https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidGaming/comments/7il7qx/tutorial_how_to_download_any_android_tv_game/ You can download the Yalp app https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/com.github.yeriomin.yalpstorehttp://
I don't believe you need to be rooted to use this Yalp.
Within Yalp are some options to blacklist andn whitelest apps but I have not experimented to see if that has any validity on my Firstick 1, x5.2.6.0, rooted.
nice

Seems like developer just abandoned this project. And based on commit history He's missing himself since October 2018.
I'd recommend Yalp's fork - AuroraStore. Though didn't use it myself, it's at least have active commits...
