For some reason when I want to reply to or forward a message using the touchscreen instead of the slide out keyboard the full QWERTY keyboard doesn't display even though this is selected in the options. The on screen display shows the following order (from left to right and from top to bottom)
( 1 2 3 . p
) 4 5 6 , w
+ 7 8 9 backspace arrow
- * 0 # _ return arrow
directional arrow keys
Any ideas how I can fix this? Or more importantly, any ideas how and why this happens? Have tried a soft reset but same result. Hoping a registry fix is in order.
I have seen this two times also....first tread that shows the keyboard I am seeing.

Hi,
while listening to mp3s having my MDAIII in the inner pocket of my jacket the device hung up.
After a reset the rom list on the boot screen was empty. Anticipating something bad I resetted the device again immediately.
Now the rom versions were present and the device booted normally.
Trying to enter the pin code I noticed the not working touch screen.
Using the keyboard I was able to enter the pin. The device seemed to work perfect, except:
* not working touch screen
* not working phone buttons
* some remapped keyboard keys
Hoping the best I installed explode's BA_WM5_AKU3.5_R3. Everything was fine until the WM initialization came up...
... Tap the touch screen .... FCUK!
So I can't do anything with my beloved device.
Any hints or help appreciated!
I have the exact wierd problem.... Its like the screen is miss-alligned (rotated by 90 degrees)... The start button instead of being in the top left corner, its in the top right corner.... The ok button instead of being in the top right corner, its in the bottom right corner.... etc etc...
Anybody can help?

hello, i have put in my device the opera 9,5 , it have a option to go to full screen automatily, but when you push any button off hardware keyboard it go to full screen in 3 sec also if you are taping a msg. In sofware kerboard it stay in non-fullscreen until you comand the full screen
there is how make the hardware keyboard take all function of software to dont cause it again or maybe a soft than make the softkeyboard dont desapear if you press a key of hardware keyboard?

When I`m typing via the hardware keyboard and using the right arrow - the Pro2 switches o AS - this is aweful.

u sure you haven't pressed the "fn" key, as this would make the letter "o" output a "-"...

I have a Sprint Touch Pro 2, running the stock 6.5 ROM.
For some reason, a few keys on the soft keyboard all of the sudden got switched around.
The A and Z keys are now on the top row, the Q key is now on the middle row, and the W key is now on the bottom row. And it looks like the "secondary" key on top is still in the right position - there's still a 1 on top of the A, a 2 on top of the Z, etc.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Is there some registry edit I can do to get things back to normal?

I was trying to change to the compact qwerty, and I noticed that the keyboard somehow got set to French.
Not sure why I didn't check that before (I forgot that setting was there).

I have a Galaxy J4 on which appeared to me a touch problem (it is no longer guaranteed). The part that does not work is just the one above the buttons so that when I want to write a message or switch languages on the keyboard or "close everything" does not work. About 5 millimeters above the keys does not work.
The solutions that I could find are: the rotation of the screen or use the phone with one hand (press the home button 3 times) ... but all this is disturbing.
The other solution that makes things a little easier is to install a navigation bar above the physical buttons (which I will not use) .. just to shift the display up .. but all those that I have tried do not solve the problem as the display stays under the installed bar.
If there is a solution to shift the display just 5 milimeters above the keys .. I will be a taker.
