For sure battery drainage is neglectable, unless you soft reset your device every minute. And no, it can not be disabled.
yup, that short vibration will not affect boot times considerably. You may find that your battery % jumps up or down. this is the effect of the device being off and the battery being calibrated. it would then show your battery status accurately.
ok thanks then!
To be honest I don't think that the vibrator uses that much power, I have vibration feedback turned on in my HD. The battery does last long...

Hi,
I'm looking for locking program for HTC P3300. I tried 4 applications but with no luck:
S2U - works OK but with some power drain (about 10% of battery at night - 8 hours, device in standby). With no S2U installed my PDA is fully charged after night.
S2U2 - the same like S2U
DeviceLock - no power drain, but doesn't work if device is switched off with hardware power off button, with SPB Pocket Plus power off shortcut it works OK.
pLock - the same like DeviceLock.
Could you recommend any really working program? I want two features only - no power drain and autolocking after wake-up.
Thanks
try batterystatus, 2nd or 3rd tab has device lock. If you choose, it wi activate automaticaly when its powered down (by time) or by pressing the off button.
Thanks for your suggestion. I'm testing this program now (beta version). Lock works very well - after power off with hardware button and with shortcut. If there will be no symptoms of power drain I'll be happy with BatteryStatus.
By the way - I wonder if there is possibility not to display BS today plugin and have lock and CPU scalar enabled, because I noticed that displaying more indicators (memory usage, battery state, SD free space...) can drain battery faster.

I guess you can reduce the stuff to only the batterybar (1st or/and 2nd tab), but not clear it totaly. How do you notice the batterydrain? You need batterystatus (powerdrain monitor) tot see this don't you?
I use BS too and can live with the batterydrain (not noticeable in regard to all the extra stuff (overclock) it provides for me). Maybe others have further suggestions...

I've turned off all indicators (battery too) and cpu scaling works - I noticed that when system is idle LCD starts flicking (like always in low CPU frequency)

I observed increased power drain in SPB Pocket Plus simply turning indicators on and leaving device for about 8 hours at night in standby mode, then the same with indicators off. I'll try the same procedure with BatteryStatus.
Hi!
I am not sure if that is what is eating my battery so fast but I cannot find where you can change the vibration mode from a really long one that it is now to a shorter vibration time.
Any help please?
Also, any other ideas on how to preserve battery life?
I am using stock 6.5 ROM with SPB Shell.
If your phone is really vibrating so much that it is significantly draining its battery life something is way wrong. Not sure what the issue is but I'll just throw this in for good measure.

This app allows you to control the length of vibration on certain events, such as tapping on screen keyboard buttons. But far as I know it has no control over other vibration events such as incoming phone calls and notifications.
The full battery notification vibrates and wakes me up during the night. Why can't I find a way to disable this thing???

That wakes you up? Wow... you must be a VERY light sleeper. But yeah... what the last guy said. Works fine.
I like it, I wake up when it notifies, unplug, then go back to sleep, prevents you from overcharging

thanks I thought that the vibration is very annoying too
Notification on vibrate mode fail to work after leaving phone unused for a specified period of time. It seems the phone pretty much goes into a half dead sleep mode even though I have disabled as much visible stuff on the power management options. Any way to resolve this issue.
Also this thing takes 3 hrs to recharge fully plugged in straight to a wall outlet.

Don't know about the first part but 3 hours to charge is normal.

What I mean is that if you set the phone to vibrate notifications will vibrate also, like calendar events. But when you leave this phone down for over 20m or so it goes into a deep sleep mode where it practically becomes useless and no notifications come through , the wifi shuts down, pretty much the thing is half dead. Massive power management. And I went through the settings where I changed wifi to always on and high performance, the screen to never sleep unless I hit the lock button. I have a motorola atrix 4g that is rock solid, but this dam thing is barbaric in its power management and also in it's multitasking. It kills everything on the background if it is left there for more than a minute. I might swap it for the Galaxy S3 when it comes out here .
notifications always work for me..?
I have problems with notifications too but not only on vibrate mode.
I always get them when I turn the screen on but if not an SMS notificiation can come as late as 10 minutes after it was recieved. So I guess it wakes up from the coma sometimes to do a check.
it's been driving me insane. as soon as my battery hits 75% the phone goes to battery saving mode. some apps stop sync, theme goes dark in the middle of the day and if a go to battery settings both battery saving and ultra battery savingare off, and the quick tile is off. the only solution i can think of is a factory reset. any ideas?
non-serious edit: apparently i'm a senior member. so show respect (?
I will suppose you have rebooted a lot of times so:
1) try turning on battery saver
2) go to the battery settings of each app that has a problem and set it to "No restrictions"
