Is there any way to get the phone to boot up a bit faster when you do a soft reset? Is there an equivalent to the desktop Windows /NOGUIBOOT switch, for example - something that supresses splash screens?
(bump)
Anyone?

Hmm, not quite sure how I did this, but I can't seem to get any panels to display on my home screen. It doesn't matter which home screen I choose, I end up with the attached screen shot. I've tried using CHome config to show panels, and while that application is showing the correct 5 panels as active, nothing shows up on my home screen. Any help is appreciated folks. Thanks!

That's easier than what i was going to do (reload the ROM)... that worked, thanks! I always forget that's an option.
If it's possible, how would I go about changing the boot screen and lock screen animations?
Is it possible to get the lock screen where you can pull the 4 apps down for quick access?
Thanks!
Is there a way to lock the home screen and other screen icons so I don't inadvertently drag them from one screen to another and then have to find them and drag them back? Maybe it's me, but I've never had this problem--at least not to this extent--with any other phone, but with this one it seems like a few times a day the icons that should be on my home screen are somewhere else and I have to go looking for them and bring them back. Is there an operating system trick to lock these a little better, so that I'd have to unlock them to move or replace them? If it can't be done via the OS, is there a simple app that could accomplish the same thing? I'm not looking for an app that let's me do all sort of customization or skinning or whatever it's called. I just want to put my shortcuts where I want them and have something that would help me leave them there.
Thanks!
I'd like to disable the touch keys that are taking up display real estate and have my Nexus 7 2013 be in permanent immersive mode or full screen mode. I'd like to use Pie Control instead to navigate my screen. Is it possible to disable them? I tried apps like Hide Soft Touch controls and they can be flaky switching back & forth between full screen and non-immersive mode. Is there a hack that can do this that doesn't affect system stability?

Unfortunately, it looks ridiculously complicated to install xposed. Wish there was a simple text file edit of build.prop as described in the last section of this site, but I can't find the system folder of my Nexus 7 and don't even know if it can be done this way.
Update: posting this in case others wanted to do this. Yes, the build.prop edit does work with a Nexus 7 2013. Just had a little trouble finding the System folder but with the help of ES Explorer, I persevered. Cheers.
Hy
last year there was in the custompfd a tweak to shorten the time between the live tile animations.
Does anyone know the key?
Are there some more keys to modify the gui or animations of the current windows 10 mobile build?
I have a L950 with the actual TP Build.
With best regards
I like to know that possibility, too.
That's interesting, not only shorten the time, or even if it is possible the live tiles stay running forever.
Here, after a while, all the live tiles on start screen become freezed, if i do nothing after a short time with the Mobile unlocked.
You can try this:
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Control Panel>Desktop
Find the MenuShowDelay (string) value (I haven't this key then I created it) and edite the value. Something between 150-200 is good. Then restart your device and...done
Tested on Lumia 930
At your own risk
Does this work for the system animations ? I looked everywhere for a method to completely disable any type of animations. Does anybody happen to know if i can do that ?
