How do I save SMS and E-Mails? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Doesn't seem to be an option to save SMS and E-Mails. Unless I'm over looking something. I disabled TF3D and just use the original WM interface so you think that's why? When I go to menu no option to save. I thought about making a new folder to move it to, but I can't do that either.
Anyone know?
BTW - I tried to search for this but nothing came up about how to save sms and emails.

Oh yeah I forgot I had that. But with a HTC running Windows!!! Don't you think this type of thing should be built in? The easiest and simple things that we need are always missing.

try PIM Backup, works good even for email

Aren't they just in the sent items? Or do you want to back 'm up to your PC automatically?

I want to be able to save a certain emails to my phone when I need to and use it later if I needed to. I'm so use to doing this when I had my BB. I don't want to save my entire email list. Just certain ones that are important that I would need at a later time while I delete the rest.

I don't need to save too many text. But if I do, I just send it to my "Drafts" folder. I don't like how I can't save a MMS pic either. I have to email it to myself in order to save it. Unless somebody knows another method.

It may not be much help, but I can confirm that Flexmail allows you to 'save as' your messages. The WinMo PIM apps are the bare basic essentials. If you want anything fancier, you need to consider third-party software.

Are you saying that you want to backup/upload your texts to the MyPhone server but not synchronize-with/download-from the server?
i think you have to go online and archive it...i just started using it yesterday so take that comment with a grain of salt...

If I am reading this right.... (correct me if I am wrong)... you are deleting stuff on your phone, but it re-appears when it syncs with MS My phone...
If this is the case, there are two things you could do...
First, and less favorable of an option, Go into Sync Options (In the Menu in program) and uncheck the things you don't want backed-up or synced. This is a two edged sword though, in that it won't back up anything else in that category.
Second Option, log on to the MS My Phone website (http://myphone.microsoft.com).
Once there, log in with your Live or Passport account (the one you use to sync your phone).
Goto the catagory you want to clean out (say Text Messages).
Then delete the item(s)/message(s) you do not want.
When confirming, it tells you that this will delete it on the phone as well.
Once confirmed, it will clear it off of the phone at the next sync time.
Hope this helps.

How to delete old deleted text messages on TP2

Hi all, XDA has been such a great help in improving my enjoyment with my phone!
Here is my question - using TouchFlo, if I select Messages, then click on All Messages, then change the folder to Deleted Items, I have a ton of old deleted text messages I would like to clear out. I can't seem to find a way to do it other than 1 at a time, which would take forever. Are there any other more expedient ways to clear this folder out? Even just a "Delete all" would be fine, I don't really want anything in there.
Also, is there a way for it to clear this folder upon exit or something?
I am wondering if I need a hack to enable some feature to delete these messages, as I don't see it. Otherwise the deleted messages just pile up forever!
Thanks for the help!
You can delete them by going to Menu>Tools>Empty DeletedItems (in the Windows Mobile messaging program).

Go to all messages then go to menu\tools\options\ then go to the storage tab then in the deleted items drop down menu select immediately. This will delete them for good when you delete them from the inbox.

WP7 SMS/MMS backup solution?

I know it has been asked, but I haven't really found a solution. I am looking for a way to backup and restore my SMS/MMS messages and attached pictures on WP7 (running on an HD2). Is there a way to even get to the message database, using TouchXPlorer or something, and copy it off that way? Is there an app or some other way to do it? I know Zune and/or WindowsLive doesn't back up messages.
Someone please help. I need to restore my phone, but don't want to lose my messages. Thanks!

This is a missing feature on exchange activesync. So when they get round to filling in the missing features of activesync, you will have this if you have an exchange account (2007 or later I think).

Stock Email Folder Sync

Can anyone help me with this? I want to give the stock email app (as opposed to Gmail app) a try again but can I get the folders I've created to sync back further then 1 month? Like I save things I need for work into folders that I access later when I need them. In the Gmail app I can see all emails in a folder...even from like a year ago, but don't seem to be able to on the stock app. Can I? Thanks.
Yes you can. It's what I do all the time. Look in the email settings. You can sync ALL emails to your phone.
However, after you change the respective setting, you have to actually click on each individual folder to have the download commence. This is the important part. Just tap one folder, back out, tap another, back out, tap another, back out, etc. And just let your phone download in the background. Make sure you're either plugged in if you have lots of emails, as it'll drain as when it's downloading in the background. After everything is done, you can search any email you want with the built in device search function.

Contacts - Backup & Restore

Ok then! this will sound like a newby question....I'm not really, I swear!!
So I have my lovely rooted Note 8 all set up the way I like it. It's pretty perfect.
During the data transfer from my old phone to new one using Samsung SmartSwitch, every thing went fine without a hitch.
I can no longer use the SmartSwitch app since my phone is rooted now....not changing that.
Somewhere in the process, my contacts got imported into Gmail app. Which I DO NOT want. I usually removing nearly all of Google's apps along with Verizon's as well as Samsung's...I have a policy of uninstalling what I don't want or need or think much of.
However, my contacts are now associated with the Gmail app - if I remove the app, the contacts disappear!!.
I would like to know what is the most current, up to date and trouble means of backing up my contacts, then deleting the Gmail app, then restoring the contacts? Would a Contacts backup and restore in Titanium Root do the trick? is there another, easier or better method?
Thanks for your assistance!
I haven't used it in a long, long time, but I think Mybackup Pro will save/restore contacts. Could take a look at it and see if that does it for you

Yahoo keeps pushing my XDA notifications to spam for some reason. Hope it works for you
1. open contacts app
2. go to Menu icon (upper-right).
3. go to Manage contacts.
4. go to Import/Export contacts.
5. export to SD
