[REQUEST]Need New Version of TouchFlo 3D - Touch HD Themes and Apps

Hello everybody ! I'm using HCT HD and Original ROM.Can I install new version of TouchFlO 3D?If can could you provide me a cab file for me?I try to download it for my phone but I when I install it it show nothing.
Thanks advance

you will have to flash a custom ROM, you can't just install a new version
you can read all about it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505377
its not something to do lightly, but take your time, and learn what to do, and you should be ok

Flashing is easy take out sim and ur memory card put the flash file u want onto an 2Gb memory card name it BLACIMG.nbh, turn fone off reboot into bootloader, hold volume down and press power button and will ask u to press power button to flash ur fone. DONE!! EASY!!!
MAKE SURE BEFORE YOU DO THIS DO HSPL UR FONE WITH OLINX 1.56.

you cannot simply install touch flow 3d becuase a lot of the files used by it are in the ROM. this means that you cannot overwrite them without flashing a whole new ROM image, hence why you need to flash a new ROM to get an updated version of touch flow. Youll notice how it is often referred to as "manilla". this is simply its codename - they mean the same thing. Good luck

Yes thanks for all of your replies.Maybe I have to find custom rom for my phone.Could you give me some suggestions which rom is run smooth and fast for my HD?

Everyone will have different opinions on this one. There are many good chefs here and on other sites. My suggestion as always is to read up about the different roms. Read the threads which will give you a sense of whether there are any significant issues with the rom which will be a problem for you. Once you have decided which rom you want to try, follow the step by step guide (link in my signature) and flash. You can then try a few different ones yourself and decide which one best suits your need. People are going to give you their opinions which may or may not be what you are looking for.
This thread will now most likely be closed down as it calls for an opinion and could lead to huge debates about the relative merits of each rom. Only you can decide what suits your needs.

Yes thanks for your ur seggestions.

Just do what i did and flash all of the popular ROMs and then choose which one you liked best. Alternatively, on the ROM developement forum, theres a benchmark thread (its a sticky, so itll be near the top). There you can see the best performing ROMs and may want to choose one of the best, if speed is a priority.

Take a look at how to use the pandora kitchen, it would be good for you to dabble in cooking your own ROM. By far the fastest is the pandora naked 6 ROM.
If you install this it is a bare ROM so you install only the stuff you need, highly recommended.
Nice idea =] ,
But i dont know what i need because i am newb ;]
I like the touch way...
OFF-TOPIC : What is the "V" rom? ^^ , what so spaciel with him?
recommend Shamanix`s Grass v2.2.
I switched from vp3G's super stable ROM -> TNT -> Shamanix's and the speed difference is noticeable. But for some reason, in-call volume of Shamanix's ROM isn't as loud as the TNT ROM or vp3G, but it's good enough.
I Can Advise You The Kaiser Rom (k's Rom) With 6 Page Pool If You Are Looking For Touch Theme And Very Good Stability And Responsiveness

I"m Going To Triple the Money and Say Build your own.... Faster, Stable And EXactly what you want b4 and after a Hard REset.
Edit....
I'd Rather Use TnT....It's more Stable and Love the 1-Calc.... I don;t know why cooks still us the OEM Calc ?
i was a big fan of TNT but after using k's rom, i have changed
I'm using K's Rom. It is fast, stable and comes with the functionality that I require for work and play.
There has been 100's of polls on this subject and it always comes down to a couple of things:
1. Your knowledge of PPC's and ability to slowly read thru all the various information contained on the XDA site. Truly a pandora's box
2. How you want and what you want to use your phone for..
As per my sig read lots before you do anything..... These phones are very expensive bricks
I think i will install KS Rom v1.30a full ...
I am going to install him from microSD card , or there better safe way?

You should try them BOTH to really determine the rom feel on your own device and current radio!

Sorry Henz as you are going to flash via sd I cannot help. Check below link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299462 or check the bottom of MrVanxs sig which is the 2nd post in your thread. What you are looking for is hardspl v7. This should prevent an flash issues when doing normal flashes and he may have info on flashing the way you prepose. His docs are about the best. Failing that go thru the wiki, again a pandora's box of info.
IMHO you should check the features and apps of the the cooked roms and decide which one suits your needs best. All the XDA chefs do excellent work try out a few and see which one grows on you.
Warning: Flashing can be hazardous to your lifestyle and is highly addictive. One out of 5 wives/girlfriends hates it

Upgrading O2 XDA Ignito - Problems sorted

Sorry to bother you, I'm sure this info is somewhere (or if I understood it a bit better), but if someone could clear a few things up:
1) Have downloaded Hard-SPL 1.23, 1.34 and the latest version - is the newer better/more stable? Or I do have to use the one that matches the ROM I am flashing to?
2) If I want to do a cooked a ROM, will any of the versions of Hard-SPL listed above work for that too?
3) Is there an easy way to back up operator settings (internet, voice mail number etc?) Just got it so there's nothing else on it that needs backing up.
4) Offical ROMs are in .exe format, can I just install them on to my XDA?
Edit: Found the official ROMs, just required looking through several pages (sorry). Can anyone answer the other questions, especially how to back-up network settings.
For the mo I just want to get rid of the O2 branding.
Thanks for your time - have been a mod on several forums and I know you end up having to answer questions 20 times over.
Cheers,
Joe
Regarding Hard SPL, read here fully and carefully. It will tell you all you need to know.
With regards to ROMs, you could use the official ones but you will find AZTOR ROMs far superior. (AZTOR = Alpha Zero Tweaked Official ROM) or alternatively Shaks.P ROM in my signature which is set up for the UK. Both will automatically detect your network and use the correct settings and both are as stable as the original ROMs but with improved performance
I have a UK o2 xda ignito, and the only hard spl I have used is 1.93 from this thread.

Most of the modded roms can be flashed with the included utilities. But most of the official 2.03 roms can only be flashed from internal storage.
Any info you need can be found with the search function, with a little time.
All the best.

Responding To Questions:
1) It doesn't have to match your original SPL...if the one you have downloaded works then use it. Very few chefs recommend a specific Hard SPL with there ROM. But this is so rare.
2) if you want to flash a unsigned ROM then you need a developers edition Hards SPL.....or jocky's works as well....I personally use 1.93 so I recommend that one.
3) don't worry about backing up operators settings.....most of these roms come with a "Connection Setup" which allows you to select from a list of operators and it does everything for you. I also have a little app for this if your rom doesn't have this.
@Everyone: thanks for your help.
Will install the 1.93 Developers HSPL and see how that goes.
Can anyone recommend a ROM (don't want any visual tweaks)?
Thanks again

I understand people have put a lot of hard work in and have taken a look at a few cooked ROMs, and fully intend to start cooking my own when (if) I have learned the skills.
However just got it and it has O2 branding, so i'd like to play with the original interface for a day or two before I start seeing what can really be done with the interface
Yeah, good idea, this will allow you to compare the true difference between a original and a cooked Rom. That is where one can begin to truly see how much better a cooked Rom is.

[Ask Your Questions Here] Questions And Answers for Vogue Users

All,
Due to good success in the Blue Angel section, I have decided to open a Questions and Answers thread on this section of the forum as well. This will be good to keep the number of new threads with questions down to a minimum, which will make new threads essentially for people that are contributing to the Vogue in any way. This includes but is not limited to people that are providing
*New Roms and Kitchens
*Programs and Apps
*Fixes
*Skins
*Tips and Tricks
However, I have a life (and so do most of you), which is why I would like to request the help from other Seniors (or anyone who knows the answer really ) to monitor the thread as well. This will have the added side effect of creating an ever self updating knowledge base that will far extend the content of the Wiki. This will in turn save us from having to answer the same question 37000 times...
Without further ado, lets go for it!

GOOD IDEA!
Hi there Gents any input
Barogi awesome so far for v2; media player not staying in full screen mode though, and manila home weather under clock wont update when you push update now also getting error message for manila home on reboot
Great idea for a faq page!
I have been using a NFSfan rom on my bell vogue for a while, and it crapped out today for some reason. Rather than put another WM build on it, I wanted to change to Android.
I have looked through many pages in here, but I can't find a simple tutorial on switch from a custom WM build to a Android build. I prefer to use the NAND method so that I don't ever have to see WM again...
Can someone create or point me towards a step-by-step guide for installing Android? Keep in mind that I have absolutely no Android experience, and that my custom ROM is completely messed up, so would it make for sense to flash the a manf build and upgrade from there?
Thanks

I have a question:
I recently flashed the Bell rom with the latest radio (I couldn't get the radio only nbh to apply properly), and then subsequently flashed with the latest NagROM rom (which is awesome btw).
Now of course, at startup i have the nice HTC screen with the rom version etc, followed by an AWFUL blue BELL screen (and then the nice orange wm6.5 screen).
Is it possible to change the blue BELL screen? And if so how?

There was a cab to change that somewhere around here in this section of the forum. Alternatively, you can flash NFSFan's rom (which will get rid of it), or you can try mine as well and then reflash Nag's rom.

Hey everyone,
So I was running NSFANS 6.5 ROM on my device (Amazing ROM btw) But I needed to revert back to the stock rom. I used the VZW updater to go back to the stock rom and I changed the esn on line. When I dialed the *228 and choose option 1 I got a failed message. So I called customer support and he walked me through a manual programing. Well that got voice working but when I went to use the data it wouldn't work. I made sure all the network settings were right, and I still couldn't connect. Well then I hard reset the device and now I am back to square 1. No voice no data. Is this something from NSFANS rom that is messing the phone up? I don't want to call again because their tech support takes forever and I am afraid they are just going to tell me to take the phone into the store. Thanks in advance!

Why did you change the E$N? Where you using the device in a different carrier?
Back to your problem. Your EPST settings should survive a hard reset as those are parameters that are not stored in Windows (afaik). It really makes not difference which rom you are using (at least for Voice and SMS).
Lets focus on your main phone's capabilities first. If your EPST settings truly got lost, you will need to get them from Verizon again. The main ones are the MSD and MIN. Make sure that you write them down this time as you will need them again if they go bye bye.
As for your internet, you will probably need to set the correct username in the phone's programming as well (also info that you will need from Verizon, but it should be something like [email protected] or something like that)
Do that and let me know if this works. They will have to program this for you this time, but once you have the values that I mentioned before, you will be able to do it yourself.

Try to get Barogi's latest "lite" rom. Also, you can't go wrong with vin's 28014 or NFSFan's rom. I would recommend mine, but I think they might be a little heavy for what you want. Good luck.

Try to avoid stock if you can... it has a bad tendency of being too heavy on the extra apps.
I checked out just SS's of both. Both look awesome, but theres something about the simple look ( or im just used to it since my 8125 ) of the stock look. I would like to have the look but the added memory of a cooked rom.
With NSFSfans, could you remove the today screen plug ins to get back to a more stock look?
Im runnin 2.1 android eclair at the moment, and im barley pulling a full day battery with no data/bluetooth. With the old winmo, I was getting 2.5 days-3days. Thats another main concern for me.

[Q] tilt 2 energy rom

i new to this stuff but im want to install the energy rom 4 tilt 2 and i jus wanna know if everything still work fine like all functions of keyboard and the icons and if it run sluggish thxs
NRG has included in his ROM a Carrier Provisioning tool. After you flash the ROM, just start the tool, select ATT and the keyboard is automatically configured to ATT's layout, and any other settings which are needed to work on ATT's network. Its super slick, and worked perfectly on my Tilt2.
The Energy ROMs are much better than the stock ROM. Less program memory usage, faster, and more stable. Also, no bloatware, great cooked-in apps, and awesome functionality and looks.
There is still some lag, which is just the way it is with Windows Mobile. But its much better with the Energy ROM. And if you want it even smoother than use the Titanium version. Personally, I use the GTX version, b/c I'm a sucker for eye candy.
thx
can you tell me where i can get one that works so i dont brick my phone please. and i also saw one on youtube with a moving background screen it was like thunder and clouds. its so cool is that the energy rom and where do i get the keboard rom that configures my keboard thanks very much
Yoiu might try the ROM Development subforum, where this question should have been posted.
Yeah, there is a whole sub forum on here which contains all the ROMs you will ever need, tools to flash, instructions, etc.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=490
The thread sticky-ed to the top of that forum are extremely useful. The following guide for flashing a ROM is a MUST READ.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540
Also, you will need to HardSPL your phone before you can flash a new ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131
And I highly recommend running Task29 after you HardSPL, and before flashing a new ROM to completely wipe the memory, which will prevent any fragments of the old ROM from interferring with the new ROM (which can sometimes cause random bugs):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649191
Read through the first part of the above threads, and at least the last couple pages of each one, too (to say what common or recent issues may have popped up, what problems people have, etc.).
Read and understand all the instructions, and follow them carefully, and you will not brick your phone. It seems intimidating and complicated at first, but its not really that hard (and you will be addicted!). Just prepare properly before you start!

That is the weather tab on Sense 2.5 (HTC's interface for Windows Mobile, an updated version of Touch FLO 3D, which your ATT Tilt 2 has on it). Any ROM with Sense 2.5 will have that. It is included on all the Energy ROM versions (except the Titanium versions, which does not have Sense).
As I already mentioned, the Energy ROM already contains the Carrier Provisioning Tool which will configure the keyboard. You don't have to download anything extra to configure the keyboard. If Energy ROM is what you want, then here is the thread:

Dude, flashing ROMs is something you shouldn't attempt unless you know how to do it. There is tons of info in the ROM Development subforum on the procedure. The procedure is different depending on whether it is an authorized or a cooked ROM. Spend some time reading up on the procedure instead of just asking questions in the wrong subforum.

Did you read the guides I linked to? The one is called "Flashing your First GSM Rhodium Rom (For Noobs)"! The name kinda says it all. Its VERY step-by-step, and meant to be very simple, straight-forward and idiot-proof. The author put lots of work into these instructions, and did a great job. Use it!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540
Just download the ROM you want, and follow the noob instructions. Its pretty simple.
But as I said earlier, its a very good idea to read through all the stickied guides I linked, and browse some through the threads (particularly the last few pages). Random glitches sometimes popup. Glitches that other people encountered and found solutions to. So it can save you a lot of headaches (and anxiety) if/when something random happens during a flash.

[Q] Sense 2.5 Email Tab for Sense 2.1 TP2

Is there a cab or anything that'll give me the Sense 2.5 email tab for my Sense 2.1 TP2. I only found one cab (kimi_sae_ireba) but it didnt work correctly. There's a lot of white and out graphics issues. I saw something in that post about editing the 220edf70_manila file for a WVGA device, but I wouldn't know how to do all that. Id love to have it tho, so any help would be appreciated.
Assuming you're still on a stock ROM as most people who use TF3D are, why not move up to a 2.5 ROM that has it? Development on 2.1 is all but ceased. There are very few chefs who still cook it in to their ROMs.
If you are stuck on having 2.1 over 2.5, try out Jackos Sense 2.1 ROM. It's very popular and stable.
Outside of these suggestions, maybe you could per$uade a chef or someone to mod the mode9 file you need to make it work. I wouldn't expect much, though.
My SmartMOVE ROM (Sense 2.1 + WM6.5) does have included the e-mail tab from Sense 2.5 mod by kimi_sae_ireba and it does work fine
Do you know anything that could help me with that? I have the cab and everything. It just says I need to edit some files. Do you think you could extract any files from your rom to see if itd work for me? Thanks.

Do you know anything that could help me with that? I have the cab and everything. It just says I need to edit some files. Do you think you could extract any files from your rom to see if itd work for me? Thanks.

Why not just flash Jackos' ROM? It manages memory way better than the stock ROM. You'll have more RAM and a more stable experience overall in my opinion.
I did just look at that Rom, and I would kinda like to try it. I only have 2 problems. 1, I have lots of programs. And dont really wanna have to go through that whole process again. And 2, it has (SP1) (SP2) to download after the Rom, and Im not really sure what those are.

What do you mean SP1 and SP2? Have you flashed a ROM before? If not, then you have a bit of reading to do before flashing all willy-nilly. Head over to the flashing for noobies thread to get a bit more info on the topic.
The proper order for flashing new ROMs is to unlock the SPL on the device, perform a task29, flash the stock ROM, task29 again, then flash the custom ROM. The first time is always a little scary.
Ive flashed before. I thought I found a good rom but this one looks like it might be even better. But look at this post I found http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=632617 After the rom download link it has 2 separate "SP" files to download too. But I dont know what those are.
Also it says it has Tom's autoinstall installed in the rom, will that install to the phone or the storage card? I dont want everything installed to the phone.

Next time, searching would likely answer your questions more quickly.
SP1 explanation
SP2 explanation
As far as Tom's autoinstall, yes it does install to the internal memory. There shouldn't be a need to reinstall everything to the SD. Some of them have settings that install to the internal memory or the registry, but the majority of them that you install to the SD stay there. For more questions about Jackos' ROMs, please ask on that thread. You'll get much better answers there. Jackos supports the ROMs very well. Just make sure you read and search properly before firing away with the questions, just like on any other thread.

Just install this: Sense 2.1 Email Tab Add-on V3 ported from Sense 2.5*
And later that: WVGA fix.
Here is the post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5202526&postcount=3 Just look in the tweaks/mods section.
PS You don't need to edit anything Just ensure that you're running a Sense 2.1 (not TF3D) ROM.
