change bottom right link.

hi, i was just wondering if anyone knows how to change the bottom right link.. originally it was programs, but after installing duttys 2.0 rom its become camera.. i use programs more than i do camera so just wondering if anyone knows how to change that...
thanks.
.
I'm not sure how/if you can do it with just the standard settings. But it's no problem if you have HD Tweak
the thing is.. in a normal rom, you can simply change the registry setting to blank, which makes it the default setting which is programs.. but.. in duttys rom the default setting is camera, so with hd tweak u can change it back to default but its still camera.. (because the hd tweak also just changes that same registry setting.)
i hope i made sense.. :/

You have to change the following keys using a registry editor (TotalCommander has one, for example):
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeRSKPath
HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\HomeRSKText
Hope that helps!
try this !!
or try this one.im using that with no problems at all
buh I think the best way to solve it is Advanced Configuration Tool

Help with a registry setting please.

I want to remap my right softkey to "Programs". Its a long story but basically Im using the latest manila and installed some progs and now need to set the right softkey back to programs.
HD tweak wont do it, it only shows up ICS_Camera.
What I want to know is from anybody who has the right softkey showing as programs and is willing to tel me what the reg settings are under -
HKLM\Sofware\HTC\Manila - HomeRSKPath.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Only shows entries for allocating calendar and agenda. I need the specific wording so it takes me to the equivalent of the old manila programs tab which is now the new start menu with the Rhodium packages as my new start menu has disappeared (Long story).

Link to the Control Panel

Hello guys,
After a long search on the web I can't find the answer to "How to create a control panel shortcut on Windows Mobile".
Out of the box, our Rhodium are packaged with a "Settings" shortcut in the start menu which links to the Settings tab of Manilla. I find this annoying, if i want to go to the manilla settings, i use manilla not the start menu.
So I want a direct link to Windows' control panel. I've seen many ways to link to a specific applet, but not the whole control panel.
Anyone can help ?
PS : Also I'm looking for the HTCSettings.exe file stored in every Rhodium (WM6.5 version)... I've accidentally deleted it :/
Thanks !
I am not sure I understand the question, but I think what you want is to be running TouchFLO instead of Windows Default.. If that is correct, the solution is simple. Click Start>Settings>ToDay>Items>TouchFLO 3D>OK>X and you should have it. What you want is to be running TouchFLO instead of Windows Default.
Hope that helps.
what he is saying is that he wants to got to the control panel or "settings" from the start menu, when you hit start and then settings it takes you to manilla settings
What annoys me is that the Bluetooth and Today screen prefs are ONLY available through the Windows CPL, things like QuickMenu don't see them..
You got is cs400, that's what I'm looking for.
Someone can send me the original HTC Settings.exe (Located in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs) ?
Okay guys, I figured out how to solve this problem by hanging around in the registry !
How to change the "Settings" icon in the Start Menu to make it open WM's Control Panel rather than Manilla's settings panel ?
- First go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and remove (or move) the file HTC Settings.exe
- Then go to the registry \HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo and change the value HideSettings from 1 to 0
- Reboot your device, it's done !
I am trying to change the 'Settings' button in the Start Menu to open the WM Control Panel instead of the Manila settings, however, the \HKLM\Security\Shell\StartInfo key does not exist in my registry. Is there another way to link to the Control Panel? Thanks!
WM control panel shortcut
I would appreciate anyone telling me how to make a shortcut that links to the WM Control Panel.
Thanks!

Thank-you a million times! Just installed something that crashed my HTC Sense, and couldn't for the life of me work out how to get to Remove Programs so I could un-install it! I now have my phone back, without having to go down the hard-reset route which I'd feared was my only option.
you could do as htc intended and clicked "all settings" on the settings tab for those manila doesnt cover.
Which would have worked brilliantly....had I been able to get to the settings tab in the first place.
With Sense freezing, I had to run the 'change my background' option from 'Getting Started' to get into the Today options and disable Sense. Then use the tips in this thread to get the Settings folder back on my Start Menu. Normally I would have used the All Settings option, but couldn't in this case, and it's funny how much you don't realise is missing from a start menu....until you need it!

Increase icons in start menu

I am using WM6.1 ROM which is last updated by HTC.
By default I can add maximum 7 program shortcuts to the Windows Start menu.
Hence Blackstone screen is 800 pixels long there is extra space for 2 more shortcuts but windows mobile does not allow me to add more than 7. I use Resco Explorer to manually add shortcuts I want to the start menu.
Is there a registry tweak or something which will enable me to change this maximum number of allowable shortcuts in the start menu?
Thanks.
Hmm ... guess there is not an easy solution as nobody has replied.
I would really appreciate if any of more experienced guys out there would help me about this.
Thanks a million......
Nobody answered because I think no one understand what you mean.
Which start menu you are talking about?
If you have WM6.5 there is no limitation in number of icons
And if you are using WM6.1 use Rhodium base cooked ROM which you can have Manila's program tab instead of start menu
Sorry if my post is not clear in the beginning. I have edited my initial post and I hope now it is more clear.
I am trying to find a solution without changing ROM.
Thanks a lot
i fear you will have to use a 3rd party software . you might want to take a peek at wisbar lite
I have previously tried Wisbar Advance but I don't like it.
As it is only 2 extra icons I need to include I was wondering maybe it is possible with a registry tweak .
Thanks for the advice

Tweak app with settings save?

Hi all,
I am using Advanced Configuration Tool which I love, and I love the fact that you can save settings as an XML.
I notice, however, that some items are missing: ability to change phone settings (such as disable the "1" dialing prefix), enter Owner information, etc. Are there any programs similar to Advanced Config tool that does those tweaks and allows you to save the config file?
If anyone has any options or links, please let me know. Thank you in advance for the help!
-David
