When I install the Palm Threader SMS application everyone gets 5-6 copies of the same message from me over several days. Restore from backup so its not installed and the problem goes away. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to solve it?
I am always open to new threader applications. SMS Threader, a freeware application, just doesn't quite cut it for several reasons.
It's a known issue. No fix for it... I had to uninstall it.

Ah, OK. I searched but nothing came up. May have needed to broaden my search.

I too had the same problem and ended up uninstalling it. Love the premise but .............. SMS threader was notgood for me either.
I've been using it for some time with no problems...at least none that anyone's told me about. I've texted myself and it only goes through once...
Palm certainly got it right with the threaded SMS and MMS.. why hasn't somebody come up with a decent solution for WM? MADNESS!

It doesn't happen all the time. But when it does your textees will let you know. Sometimes it happens hours later.
anyone else notice that it takes away the email autofill when installed? that was the only issue i had with it. like no when i go to type an email address i just have to type one letter and the autofill will pop up. when i had that installed it wouldnt pop up any more

I have been using the palm one for ages. Well at least a month on WM6 and not once has anyone ever told me about multiple texts. Also i have installed it on loads of other WM6 phones and then we do the classic text each other just to make sure it is all working. Not once have these ever duplicated. I am sure if it was a problem then i would have noticed by now.

I am using it for few months now no issue...
the only problem is it do not work with jeyo any more so i loose all my SMS when i upgrade the ROM... any solution..
You can backup your messages by closing the palm app down and copying the file PalmMsgV001 from the windows directory.

I have used it on WM5 and WM6. I have never had the same complaint when using the standard text messaging application. The fact that is happens to some and not others is just how it goes I guess.
weird though because i have not seen a prob ever on any of my phones. Not on my hermes with any of the LVSW roms, or Black 2.5 or on my universal with WM6.
I wonder whether there are dif versions of the palm app floating around.

You may be onto something there.
Is their a build number anywhere in the Palm App?
Also, there must be an official WM6 version somewhere. Isnt there going to be a WM6 ROM in a month or so?
The most common problem of duplicated texts from the threaded app is from closing the program after you send it... im not talking minimizing it, im talking actually closing it, like with HTC X button or magic button, etc... and this isnt actually a problem with the threaded app, this is a problem with WM period.. If you close the app before the sms fully sends then the app tries again, and again, etc.. now there may be other issues, but this is the most common.

Ah if that is the case I can install it again knowing why this was happening.
With Windows Live, has the problem with the Synchronizing Personal Settings been resolved at all?? this is the only thing that i have left to get working and then I can stop playing with my device lol.

Didn't know about the Windows Live problem......... but stop playing with your device? Heathen, blasphemer etc - you wouldn't also own a Mac instead of a real PC would you?
HAHA well what i mean by stop playing with my device is stop installing every version of WM6 from this site trying to get around this problem lol.
AND GOD NO I DONT OWN A MAC DAMMIT hehe
But yeah the only thing is that it says my email address for my contact name and when i change my display name in messenger it says "there was a problem precessing your request" ???? anyone else having the same issue??? i downloaded the latest version of Windows Live as suggested on this site and still have the same issue?

Search forum ... If my recollection is correct, the pb has sth to do with the personal picture you use to identify yourself. Remove the personal picture, you'll remove the pb.
Anyone else see this...I put a list of buddies via the widget app and the keep disappearing every few days.
Not sure why this keeps happening.

I had this issue on my old Galaxy SIII as well. I posted about it on /r/android but nobody mentioned anything.
One thing I did figure out is that the picture was only sideways for me. Also, it appeared sideways in some apps, but not others--for example, it came up right-side-up on my phone, but appeared sideways in hangouts (I had the exact same chat window opened on both).
mine were that way in hangouts as well, works fine in evolve and qksms though

2 hangout updates since I first made this post and it's still broken. Come on google!
My wife has the same issue with her LG G3. I don't think its an issue with hangouts, at least not only google issue, since the trouble is very located to one device model.
It's really annoying. Nobody found a fix/workaround?
Some time ago I started to receive this mystery orange box that appears on emails and any Internet page. It moves around as you navigate through the email or page. Very annoying. I cannot tie it to an app install or any setting change that I have made. I have looked at every setting that I know of to see if I can see anything that may define what this is, but I cannot find anything. I am out of ideas.
Anyone know how to get rid of this? Any help is appreciated.
