With Windows Live, has the problem with the Synchronizing Personal Settings been resolved at all?? this is the only thing that i have left to get working and then I can stop playing with my device lol.

Didn't know about the Windows Live problem......... but stop playing with your device? Heathen, blasphemer etc - you wouldn't also own a Mac instead of a real PC would you?
HAHA well what i mean by stop playing with my device is stop installing every version of WM6 from this site trying to get around this problem lol.
AND GOD NO I DONT OWN A MAC DAMMIT hehe
But yeah the only thing is that it says my email address for my contact name and when i change my display name in messenger it says "there was a problem precessing your request" ???? anyone else having the same issue??? i downloaded the latest version of Windows Live as suggested on this site and still have the same issue?

Search forum ... If my recollection is correct, the pb has sth to do with the personal picture you use to identify yourself. Remove the personal picture, you'll remove the pb.

the problem seems to be with the first account/login name u enter
change the account name/login & see

I had this problem 2 yesterday.
I've even flashed my WM6 rom again with a new version, thought it was in the messenger.
Seems to work fine again now. I think a problem on the MS side.

i need help, in the text message i go to menu and go to insert and oddly i cannot pick a picture, file..etc its all like faded unsure how to explain.
Also.. i been looking at the OZ messenger, and i tried it and got the text message problem. I looked it up here but they told me to go change the internet,tzone, and MMS. and it didnt work for me. can ne one help?
also.. my MMS messages are being sent. i press send... and it just goes back to the regular home page.. nothin happens.. (ask the ppl i send it too and they nvr recieved it.)

Well since those settings are for tmobile in that link, then on ATT, of course, the settings would be different.

There is a program called "Connection Setup" in the new ROM's just run it and select your country and carrier and it should set everything up for you.

HTC Excalibur
1.33.422.1 (Worldwide English, WM6)
and i ran it, it reseted my Phone...
and everything is updated(better looking..lol)
umm.. where is this "Connection Setup" ?

I believe it is under Accessories.. I don't think you can add stuff like words pictures, voice notes... because those are things that are done within MMS messages to my knowledge and not just regular txt messages

Oh ok I see, well if you want it to run a little better try the new rom updated version 23 its located below in my signature.
Cingular MMS
i have an unlocked Dash and im using cingular on it, also i have kavana Rom and no im not able to send or receive MMS, does anyone have same issue or can someone point me at the right direction.. Thanks

That "vista button" you're referring to is a plugin called SmartToolkit. This thing has SO many functions... It has an auto-keylock function which can activate a screensaver; it restructures your menu interface to resemble more of a "PC feel"; it also makes your files easily accessible (quicker than using File Explorer). These are just SOME of the many things you can do with this sucker.
EDIT: From what I hear, version RC08 is less buggy and more reliable than the newer RC09.

Umm.. i downloaded your thing twice and when i tried to install it it kept sayin error. Mayb i was doin something wrong.. but oh well.. i already fully customized the one i have.. to lazy to redo it all again..
The connection setup was a breezze and i can do MMS now..
However i still cant connect to AIM..
Can some one give me thier settings or something.. im still tinkering around to see if i can fix it.. but until then.... Help...!?!?
Edit: Im using the OZ messenger...
also when im at screen to pick AIM, ICQ, or Yahoo messenger, at the top it says t-mobile , does that matter as well...??
I have the Telus Touch Pro 2 and have noticed for quite some time now it has been randomly connecting and I haven't been able to track down what program is doing it. I have disabled the push internet and even installed the NoPushInternet_v2.cab but it is still doing it.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Is there a program that can track what programs call up the Data connection or maybe the aGPS?

have you sent a pic message or email and it hasnt gone thru? go to all messages and go to outbox. if theres something there thats probably why

If you have it enabled, both the weather tab and the Facebook integration will use up data.
Also, if you set up an exchange account, use activesync, Windows Live account, or QuickGPS.
Google Maps can also run in the background to transmit your location data if you have it enabled for Latitude.
Make sure you used tools like memmaid or other similar tools. It will show u what services is running even though you thought those programs that you closed, actually they are not closed.
I have mine behaving the same problem like u discribed, checked the microsoft live service still run causing the problem. I used memaid to stop it from lauching. and now it fixed.

That was one of the things that really bugged me when I first got my TP2. I didn't always need data, and it annoyed me because of the batt instead of data charges. Try a program called No Data. I think the actual cab file is called nodatahtcdriver. You'd have to do a search to find it because I can't remember where I found it. It allows you to toggle your internet, data and MMS.
Firstly, I'm running the rooted stock rom (OTA 1.45..). I don't know if this has been a problem SINCE I've rooted, as I don't go on facebook much, but, one of my friends, I just dded her on facebook the other day, and then noticed that it wouldn't let me link her fb account on her contact card because her fb account wasn't present in my contacts.
Anyways, whenever I try to refresh my facebook contacts, it takkes me back to the "online directories" screen with a message that says CONNECTION ERROR.
I can login to my fb just fine and things like my friendstream and the facebook app itself are ok, but, my contacts will not update at all.
Is there a file I'm supposed to flash, or what? Any help would be appreciated.

As of right now, their seems to be a problem with the Facebook servers. You can log into Facebook for HTC Sense fine, but it will show that you have "no friends". When you attempt to refresh, it will just load up and then exit out of the program with the "connection failed" error.

weird, when I try to add facebook for sense to my accounts sync, it says warning the service is curently unavailable. do you want to try again? and never works.
Nothing new. It's been broken for over a week. It has nothing to do with being rooted.

This is the first I've heard of Facebook not working... mine has been working with no problems whatsoever. (and I'm constantly on it, refreshing all of the time) Maybe it's not as widespread as some people think?
Facebook for Android works.
Facebook for Sense is not working.
Two different things that people are getting confused. It has been down since last week. It has nothing to do with ROOT or NONROOTED phones, it has to do with Facebook's connection or server hence the "connection error" that is displayed when you try to refresh your contacts.
I'm going to take a look at logcat when I can but it doesn't seem to be a connection issue (at least with authentication). Deliberately enter the wrong password and you'll see.
An issue with Facebook none the less.

Exactly. You can log in successfully, but when it comes to getting your contacts between Facebook servers and your phone, it isn't working. Somewhere there is a disruption between the 2. Androidforums.com has been on this for a while and even the HTC.com forums have had people talking about it.
From what someone mentioned, this happened to the iPhone a few weeks ago and was successfully fixed ASAP...
Soooo, basically, we're just waiting for it to fix itself?

The problem seems to be fixed now. I just happened to open my people app, and pow! Facebook friends and contacts were updated. Pictures, updates, everything.
having trouble signing in.. a message just pop up and say "the service is unavailable. Do you want to try again?"

i could sign in with my second facebook account but not the primary facebook account... how weird?
i tried to log on facebook on my laptop but everything seems fine.. there wasn't anything unknown activity, hacked, etc..

Hey guys just a note there seems to be a few problems with Facebook at the moment - apparently the team is working on it. They think the reason is a change in the Facebook platform, possibly with application settings and privacy.
