Pocket safe? - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

The label says you can't sit down with the touch pro 2 in your pocket... do they mean back pocket? I always kept my Kaiser in my pocket, just a bit paranoid about cracking the screen.

I'd say ANY pocket, to be safe, so I use a belt pouch

LOL
Hahaha!
Sorry I coudnt avoid to laugh
I have an Universal and its imposible to forget you have it on your pocket with that super size!!
I wonder if HTC have to make a special device: Now you can sit on yout HTC... and it will mold to your butt
Just joking...

righto belt clip it is! Dug out my old Kaiser one which fits nicely

Mine goes in my pocket, and so far so good. Left front pocket to be precise. Actually all of my phones have gone in my pocket without mishap, Just remember to put your change/keys in the other one

Mine goes in the same pocket, along with my keys. No cracked screens to date. A few severe scratches, but it's a phone. It's not like I'm entering it into a beauty competition!

i agree with the 2 above - except i also tend to keep only the phone in the same front pocket and keys in the other to avoid severe scratches. eventho it's not going to enter a beauty competition, i'd like it to atlease have a descent screen in a year or more since it's a €600 phone... the pouch that came with the phone has been used once - it simply is too much of a hassle to use it every time

Thanks for the input! I've always kept my phone in one pocket (screen facing inwards) and keys in the other, wasn't too keen on using the pouch.
Have any of you put the screen protector on? I just noticed that they gave me one but not too sure how it's supposed to stay in place

the first thing i did after unboxing the tp2 was to attach the screen protector. it'll just keep the scratches to a minimum and make sure the screen is kept well for as long as possible

I hate screen protectors (now). I have always used them but not on my TP 2. Why mess up that glorious screen with some cheap plastic that has bubbles and collects grease? I always use the pouch, it keeps the device scratch free. I put the phone in the pouch, then in goes into my front left pocket on its own, nothing elses goes into that pocket.

I ALWAYS have a screen protector on my phones. I don't mind the odd scratch on the sides, but I have paid a lot of money to be able to read the screen and I don't like to take chances

Plasti dipped nexus

So i decided to plastidip my phone since i wanted a bit more grip from it, and let me tell you right now you can hold it vertically in your hand and it'll barely slide down, no need for grippy cases that add bulk. Best part is if you don't like it you can simply peel off the coating, here are some before and after pics of how i prepared it for the coating, i did 5 thin coats every 20 minutes and let it dry overnight.

I plastidip alot of stuff (car parts, mostly) so this is awesome!
How does it hold up over daily use...any flaking or chipping?

Ok this idea was only half perfect, i used it for the day and while the grip was awesome the ability to put it in and out of your pocket was disastrous, it just doesn't want to go in or out. Plus it picks up all the lint in the pocket, olh well at least it'll be easy to remove now :silly:

This is a sweet idea, but is there something like plastidip that will not pick up lint/flake? I'm thinking of the rubberized surfaces on some cases etc. That would also be kind of cool

[Review] Cygnett Crystal Clear Case

Just recently picked up the Cygnett Crystal Clear Case which can be found at their main site (currently out of stock) or at your local Fry's or Fry's online store.

I apologize in advance for the crappy pictures, I dont have a better camera.
When I got this case, I was mainly going for one thing, looks. I love the color of my pebble blue and wanted a case that would protect my phone from minor everyday scratches while still showcasing its looks. This case does just that as the plastic is clear and the color of my phone shows through very well. Additionally, the case has a slightly raised lip around the side and part of the corner. It is raised as high the width of a penny which ensures if you like to put your phone face down on surfaces, the screen wont get scratched by stray sand and miscellaneous crap. What I also like about the case is that the bottom does not have a raised lip which makes it feel so much nicer when Im pressing the soft capacitive buttons or the home button. The cutouts for the power and volume rocker are big enough that you can press them easily without forcing it, yet not too big where you can accidentally press them whenever you pickup your phone or pull it out of a mount (happened quite often when I had no case). The cutouts for the camera, speaker, and flash fits very well with 2-3 mm of space around the speaker and flash while the camera has it right up to the metal ring. The feel of the case feels (smoothness) is almost identical to the phone which I also like since I like turning the phone in my hands when Im bored.
There are some annoyances though. Im not sure why maybe it is the material the case and the phone is made out of, but there will be spots on the back after putting on the case where the case and the battery cover touches will show small splotches, almost like it is wet, but it isnt because I have tried wiping and cleaning it multiple times and it is the same. The splotches appear at random spots when you take off the case and put it back on. I cant really capture it since my camera sucks. It's a small thing and I can get over it pretty quickly but if you are OCD about those kinda things, this might bother you like hell. Also I am not sure if it is how the case was made or if this was a returned merchandise (this was the last one at frys) but the case has minor scuffs and lines going up and down. You cant really see it directly but when light shines on it, it shows.
Overall I would definitely recommend this case if you're looking for an aesthetically pleasing case that doesnt hide your phone and you know you wont drop your phone from too high up. Since I dont think this case will protect your phone from a bad fall... might help but definitely wouldnt try it.

So my friend dropped his S3 in a INCIPIO twice today..

My friend was really obsessed with putting his phone on a bike mount he kind of setup himself, and he had a couple of growing pains where the assembly that it was clipped two fell off the bike TWICE today.. He has the same INCIPIO case that I do. Anyways I thought i'd post all these pictures for anyone considering the case or anyone just wondering how certain cases hold up to certain things.. Now again it had half the mount still attached to the phone when it fell which probably added a little extra weight and each time it fell it landed on a different corner. The cases corners appears to have cracked so it did its job, but on one corner (not sure if it was the first fall or second fall) the phone does appear to have formed some hairline cracks in the corner of the phone (why they didnt make that small band around this phone metal is beyond me!)
You can barely see them but they are there.. His screen was still fine (thast what matters) and the phone stil functinos perfectly, so thats a testament to the case i'm sure, but I'm already looking at some others.. without further ado, here are the pics.

Screen is fine tho
and that is why we use cases. better to break a cheap case, than a 600 dollar phone.

Episode 4: Torture testing the Samsung Galaxy S3:
http://cnettv.cnet.com/episode-4-to...-1_53-50127620.html?tag=api?tag=mobile_social
Three drops without a case, and S3 keeps on ticking (on top of freezing, heat, dunk in water tests.)
Third test was a 7~8 foot drop (again with no case) and it survived.

Case did its job, but get a case for drop protection make sure it can be reused in the same situation again. Otterbox defender, trident kraken, ballistic sg maxx.
I have the kraken and dropped it a dozen times and tossed out at people (who can't catch), case and phone still look brand new.
Sent from Pluto.
doesnt exactly bode well for the case
if 2 drops damaged the case pretty badly and still managed to damage the phone then I wouldnt trust it anymore
time for an otterbox defender

[REVIEW][README] I-Blason Armor Box SUCKS

Hello guys, i just recived my I-Blason Armor Box about an Hour ago and its amazing!, Their havent been any reviews on it so far that are clear so i will make one now,
I wanna start of with features, now these are some ive added:
- Fully protected Nexus 5
- Sexy Look (if u choose it in green,xD)
- Screen Protector
- Sound is amplified and is not blocked when hand is placed on speaker
- Phone feels considerably safer
- Camera has no problems
- Port protectors, these are on the micro-usb and headphone ports!, stops dust gettin into it!
Now to problems i have with it:
- Screen protector is rubbish!, it however can be taken out, so im waiting for my Ilumi sheild screen protector to put it on my Nexus 5
Thats it, however the screen protector is a big down down as its really annoying, it also keeps grease on it like crazy!, also it floats off the screen a bit so sometimes when u tap u get this tap sound... and with that and the android tap sound, it gets annoying!
Price: Amazing!, 20$ for a armor case!!!
Here is a link to the case on Amazon: I-Blason Armor Box
Pics: (Haz no camera to take pics of phone in it,xD)

Wireless Charger: Yes
Veridict: If your getting this case, which i highly recommend!, get a seperate screen protector
Enjoy!
EDIT
I was happy with the case as everything was fine, recently i took it off as i decided to clean some dust that got stuck under the screen protector so after i did i also went ahead and wiped down the phone and luckily enough light caught the left area of my phone, i was almost in tears, i had my nexus 5 for 2 weeks without a case, not a single scuff/scratch, i bought a case to PROTECT my phone and what does it do? it scuffs it!, i am extremely disappointed in this case and im using my nexus 5 bare again, i know this might sound a bit extreme but im sending my nexus 5 back and getting the newer model as the newer ones come with bigger speaker holes and what not... so i might take the extreme precaution as this is a device im sticking with for a whole 1-2 years and i dont want this on my conscious, i have extreme ocd so this will kill me, :S
Have two since nothing else was out for it when I got them. The port protectors don't work against dust since they never really close. They are just a somewhat open flap. The red is more of a salmon color not actually red. The blue is baby blue. Should work for one fall. Included screen protector isn't great but does work. Headphones work but if they are a 90 degree plug it's not easy. I-Blason's shipping leaves a lot to be desired. One case was one day early the other case was 9 days late.

Dot View Case Help

Verizon store gave me the dot view case and really want to use it daily especially if mods are coming out but how the u use this thing? I can't figure out a one handed way to use it say for quick text message or what not.
Is it normal for phone lid to not sit flush? Seems cheaply made as I don't see how this is on purpose?
Any tips on how to use this thing one handed and how to get the lid to stay closed flush? First ever wallet style case to not sit flush, don't understand that.

Looking at your photos I see you have a glass screen protector fitted which is the reason the cover will not close properly. Mine closed perfectly when I got it but now I have fitted a glass protector it is the same as yours so it is not a problem with the case.
You're right. See that now. Would putting rubberbands around it holding it closed tight over night maybe help? Not sure with this rubber strap.

I don't have a screen protector and the device never sat completely flush against the screen. To answer your original question, I couldn't figure out how to use it comfortably when needing to use it. Unless I am traveling I don't use the case.
The only thing that I can set that will help out sit flush is if you use a dremmel to remove some of the material from that corner where it first contacts the gals screen protector. There is excess material there that is causing it not to be able to close

Anyone know of a thin temeprrd glass screen protector with round edges on the sides instead of square? Maybe this will help. Mine is only .3mm thick I believe or less but square edges so raised.
