I have a TP2 from T-Mobile with the original 1.14.114.2(50207) NLD ROM (Waiting for Hard SPL) and 3.44.25.27 Radio
Now since a couple of day's I get a error when I power on the device.
Code:
[B]BTTrayCE.exe[/B]
'BTTrayCE' is not a valid Pocket PC-application
Well my message is in Dutch, but this is the most likely correct translation.
Probably I did install some kind of tweak from this forum, but I don't recall what cab/reg-tweak caused this issue.
When I try to enable my BT (Communication -> settings) it is switched off directly again without a message, one minute later it pop's up with:
Code:
[B]Comm Manager[/B]
Can't start Bluetooth
Again this is a translation from Dutch to English.
Can anyone give me advice or solution?
When you need more info, just ask. Thanks in advance.

I don't know for which purpose is developed BA (mine is QTEK 9090).
I've bought it because I need a phone and at same time also a little computer to download messages from my business mail.
At this moment the situation is this:
Telephone:
totally randomly, when I answered to a call I can't hear nothing. I need to soft reset to reactivate audio for calling in or out.
Active Sync:
I've scheduled to check my mail every half an hour. After the first call (either by gprs or by cellular line) i receive an error from the connection manager (connmgr_33 error) and I need to soft reset or restart radio to make a new synchronization.
So I spent the most of my time to soft reset the phone. BHA! :? :?
I've installed the last ROM available
ROM: 1.40.04 ITA
RADIO: 1.12.00
ExtRom: 1.40.153 ITA
Protocol: 1337.42
I ve NOTHING ELSE installed on.
Could someone help me , please?
Thanks in advance
Diego
(I'm sorry for my English)
If you wanted something you could actually use you should have read this forum before buying. I sure wish I had. This wasn't a very constructive answer... but its not a very constructive handset
I'd have to agree. Since reading this form as part of my research into buying a decive I've decided to hold off for a while until either these bugs are fixed in a new ROM or until a newer and better working device becomes available.
well i'ts a viscious cycle really. you wait for a rom update to fix known bugs, only to find out it introduces another set of new bugs.
you'll never really know when is the right time to purchase a device. the pace for newer devices are too fast.
I would only know if the problems I've explained are common problems or only for my phone.
Thanks
Diego
I think that I've resolved the problem.
I've downgraded to old ROM:
ROM: 1.22.04 ITA
RADIO: 1.06.02
Protocol: 1337.38
Thanks
Hi following the instructions for the build 14343 i get a "Model Id Error".
here is the content of my DeviceData.txt ;
PH20B2 B 2 WWE VODAP102 1.40.00 0 0 1.13.00 13.00
is there any particular BaUpgradeUt.exe that i should use?
feel free to email me, Tx
S.
Try the NOID version it will skip the country check , you can get it on the ftp @ ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/Tools/MaUpgradeUt_noID.zip
I believe that should help you, just unzip and put the *.exe in the folder with the upgrade.
I'd be interested to know if WM5 on your PH20B2 worked, as everything to date is concerning the PH20B/1. Also your opinion as to whether WM5 on the PH20B2 is ready for use, or still better to stay on the 1.40 ROM. Things like the backlight issue seems to suggest the latter.

Ignore my last email, already solved it. For the PH20B2, do as the WiKi says except be sure to use the PH20B directory. I found that "maupgrade" wouldn't run until I renamed the HTCRUU.conf and HTCRUU.dll files as RUU.conf and RUU.dll respectively. Then all worked as the Wiki suggests. More updates later...

Np .. however, In the end the upgrade it is possible but how SLOW is it? I found it unplayable, and I had to go back to WM2k3
Actually, I found it OK. There are a few problems:
- using the BA keyboard, sometimes keypresses are missed
- sometimes you get Wifi and GPRS at the same time (confused BA)
- it does run a little slower
However, overall, I have no intention of reverting back to WM2003SE. Despite the niggles above, it is a great credit to the star chaps in this forum that they have WM5 running, and so good.
Now Mr Gates, about that Messaging and Security Feature Pack - we're (still) waiting... tap... tap... tapitty-tap...
bosseye You can explain to me more in detail as you have made it?

I've flashed a few WM5 roms and never found any missing keypress on the BA keyboard! You can also try PocketMSN for messaging. If the speed is slower than WM2k5, take care of your device with the 'Startup Manager'
Totally stuck
Hi guys,
I am totally lost here. I kindda understand what the Wiki explains but to use it I get stuck. I am completely new to this whole business. bought a used blue angel (everything working on it) with a WM 2003 on it italian language. all I wanted was to swith from italian to english (or WWE as you guys call it). I do know that my ROm is 1.12.24 ITA Radio 1.03 and no value for extRom. that is what it showed when I tried to use one of the numerous updates available on XDA. first it showed me error 102 checksum error then country ID error. so I used the Ruu file and added the Checkceid_1 command as u suggested on wiki for blue angel. anyway I am stuck. now even the WM2003 italian is no longer available since I hard-reseted my BA. all I see now on the screen is windows mobile with some italian gibberish under it.
Serious help needed please.
Thank you

Hello all...
I've seen LOADS of questions relating to this particular model and upgrading to WM6, both on this forum and throughout the web.
I followed instructions from here, but alas I couldn't get the PDA to accept the new ROMs for various reasons. (I.e. ROM Sink Mismatch, Incorrect Model, Incorrect Version).
I then found this page burried in the links of the above thread, and tried the WM6 upgrade from it... I don't know if it's the PDA4 or the PDAViet ROM (or another altogether), but the big thing is: it works! Bluetooth, WiFi, Battery Indicator, Activsync... everything I can find to test works.
Now... I had originally got Windows Pocket PC 2003 with the device... I upgraded to WM5 using the official "WM5 Upgrade" from the HP UK website... I updated the firmware and drivers for WM5 from the same site, then I applied the WM6 ROM from the link above in White Boot loader mode.
One quick restart later, and now it's working...
So, thanks to all from the massive thread, thanks to the person who made that site, and thanks to whoever made the ROM

HX2750, WM6.5 Bluetooth Radio Problems
Hello,
I've installed Spaaitjies WM6.5 V4, and trying to run TOM TOM 7 on my iPAQ HX2750, I find that the Bluetooth Radio cannot be turned on. The error message that pops up reads:
"The Bluetooth Radio failed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available. You must perform a normal rest before you can turn ON the Bluetooth Radio"
So, naturally I've reset the device (soft & hard) but the issue remains. Can anyone advise what I might try next?
Many Thanks,
Gareth
