I got a problem with my htc p3300
My phone hangs randomly when I have the sim card insterted, It does not hang or reboot when only SD card inserted.
I use the Ooops Black Rom
I love the Ooops Black Rom and have used it for a while, I didn't have this problem in the beginning.
Could it be hardware or is it software releated?
Thanxs a million

some days ago, my artemis froze. when i reached home, i flashed a rom from the bootloader screen, but nothing changed. the phone began to boot, but was freezing on the same green screen with Windows mobile. the next day i had a surprise : the phone started, but only without the sd card (2gb). i put the card back, tried again, and encountered the same problem: it froze on the windows green screen
any ideas? pls!
Looks like SD card problem
I would try and format the SD card which seems to be the problem. If you have another SD card to hand you could always try that and clean the contacts on both card and phone.
thanks a lot
Hey.
My desire is driving me crazy!
It is (was) rooted and s-offed with a Coolexe-ROM on it.
A few month ago I opened a thread where I described random reboots an freezes. This somehow stopped after 2 weeks or so and I could use my desire as usual. Before that, there was this problem with the SD card, which couldn't be mounted. It wasn't working anymore and I bought a new one.
Since yesterday evening the random freezes, reboots and shutdowns started again. So badly that I could hardly keep it on for a few minutes.
I noticed, that the signal bar was showing the little cross mark, so that I couldn't even place calls or text someone.
So I decided to do a RUU flash, hoping that rooting it again and so on would solve the problem.
Turns out it didn't!
The signal bar is randomly showing me the cross icon (sometimes I have H or G connection though). In this unrooted state it doesn't freeze, reboot or shut down.
I tried to save the data from my SD card 2 times (in harddrive-mode), but after a while the windows explorer wasn't reacting and crashed.
I was able to save some of the data though.
This seems like a hardware problem (doesn't it?)...
Has someone experienced similar problems? (could this be the famous motherboard fault?)
Is it the SD card, or is the desire bricking the sd card?
I have no idea what to do. Is this something I could fix myself or do I have to send it in?
Hope someone can help me...
edit: I just noticed, that when windows explorer crashes and I change back to charging only-mode, I cannot view the SD card state under the settings menu...
Did you try removing the SD card and use the SD card by a card reader?
Also flash a new Rom? Or factory reset?
Hope you have a nand backup
when I tried using a card reader my PC wouldnt even recognize the card...
after the RUU-flash I did a factory reset from the settings menu... or is there another way?
I mean, shouldnt it be like a factory reset anyways after a RUU-flash?
If I am correct ruu deals with the recovery and radio part
I'm not sure though

as it seems my SIM card is at least part of the reason.
I put in another one and the connection problems are gone. but now they appear in the phone in which I put the old SIM ^^
so maybe (hopefully) it is just the SIM which I am going to change tomorrow in a shop.
I've been trying the RCMixs 2.0 ROM from robocik for quite a time now. I've got plenty of crashes, everytime. I mean, it doesn't matter if I use it or not, it just crashes, randomly sometimes up to 10 times a day, sometimes just after entering my SIM code so.... It gets boring.
I noticed that my device never crashes ( in fact these crashes are unstopping freezes, which means I have to remove the battery and put it back in order to reboot it) when I put it in Plane mode, or when I remove my SIM Card from my Desire.
But this is my second Desire. The other one was doing the same, and the only things I still have from it are my SD Card and my SIM card, and because of while my device was still under the official untouched RUU it was running perfectly despite the SD Card suddenly unmount itselves some times...
That's why I'm wondering if I have any chance that the SD or SIM Cards are responsible for these crashes ? If so, which one ?
Thx for your help !
Hello,
I was going to sell my DHD. I bought a new phone, took out my SIM Card out of the DHD, turned it off. It was turned off for a week. I turned it back on after a week, without a SIM inside, formated the SD Card, reflashed RCMix 3D, set up the ROM (all without an inserted SIM Card) and sold the DHD. Then, my friend called me up and told me that the DHD was not recognizing his SIM Card. After trying it out myself, DHD wouldn't recognize my SIM Card either. I reflashed again, with the SIM Card inserted...no luck. I reflashed a Stock RUU Rom, with the SIM Card inserted. No luck. It even reflashed the radio and still no luck.
Any ideas? Thanks for your help!

Did the SD card go in, then retract a little when you pushed it in?
