I have a HTC Touch Hd. I am trying to use Vito Voice2go. I think this program is ideal for this PDA due to its lack of available buttons. However, I found a couple of issues:
1) The Connect "Magic Word" works just the once after recording it any subsequent times the PDA just doesn't respond to it any more.
2) When trying to record a Macro the screen goes out of alignment, eventually it just gives up and the only way out of this loop is to reset the device.
My device has:
Rom Version 1.21.841.1 (388500) WWE
Rom Date: 1/6/09
Radio Ver: 1.10.25.25
Protocol Ver: 52.57.25.30U
Is there anyone out there having the same issues or has someone got a solution for this?
yup, also the same problem, goes out of alignment, i need the macro more so that i can type text by spelling the characters lol

Tried various WM2002 or 2003 ROMs, and settled back on WM2002 as it seems more stable, but I still have a problem where the phone seems to turn off (no green LED blinking), and when you press the top button to turn on the PDA it is as though you have warm reset it. I think I might be missing calls because of this and will have to change the phone if this is the case. Now when I know I might be expecting an important call I have to keep checking the green LED is blinking! I also get periodic SD card erasure unless I write protect it! Overall it is a nightmare to use because of these two issues.
ROM versions:
3.17.03 ENG
ROM date 5/15/03
Radio 4.21.00
Protocol 32S54
Hi mate, my XDA does the same thing - I have upgraded my ROM too (see profile for version etc.). Best thing I can offer to you is that it resets when bumped or knocked (like if I put it down on my desk a bit too hard), the screen will go wierd and then reset. Don't know why this happens but I keep checking my green light for flashing too. My vibrate function no longer works wither. I plan on calling O2 tomorrow to follo up the issues.
Well, I had the same problem with my QTEK 1010, os 2002, until I downloaded a very good clock/alarm software: pTravelAlarm (make a google search for it). among its functions is a very good one which is Chime, (in alarm menu) it wakes up the device each one hour so it will not get stunned. Now I never miss a call. The only disadvantage is that it makes the battery lasts a bit shorter than before.
john banks, there must be something loose in your device, carefully disassemble it and check all screws inside, if all ok, I'm afraid you might have to send it to a repair shop.
after installing the SER 1.2 special version from xda developer, my XDA run smoothly and I can see the sender of SMS anymore
Lately my Blue Angel keeps loosing screen calibration. I don't know why and its annoying me. Every now and then, when I select any of the icons or touch stuf towards the bottom of the screen, the device will not respond.
Only after calibrating the screen will it work properly. Does anyone have this problem and perhaps know why it is doing this?
My devicde information is:
ROM version: 1.40.00 WWE
Radio version: 1.12.00
strange...have the same problem...but i have wm5...don't know why...it's really annoying so i will do a hardreset
Think I might do the same. Its almost enough to make someone want to sell the device lol.
Did the hard reset fix the problem?
Hi All!
I have a problem with my BA, maybe someone has meet it before and can help me with a solution or workaround.
at first - device details:
ROM: 1.42.00 WWE
Radio: 1.15.00
ExtROM: 1.40.110 WWE (got from xda-developers)
Installed programs:
PocketMusic 4.3.3
Accessories:
Wired handsfree (the cheapest one, mono, without buttons)
Problem details:
when using the device for more than several hours (active and in stand-by mode) the keyboard hangs up (doesn't function) whatever I do. Only reset helps.
Even more. the phone screen sometimes hangs up when receiving a call (cannot answer or cannot finish the call). background processes are running correctly (gsm led works).
Have someone had the same problem?
Of course I have provided just a few details. Tell me if more details needed.
Hi,
I have a 8525 with WM6 and Radio 1.54.07.00. Every time I received a call it gets drop when I press the answer bottom. This happen 9 out of 10 calls. I have to call back to the number in the call history.
Any sugestion?
Do you want to tell us a bit more? Are you running the original radio rom that came with the phone or a version you installed yourself?
If the latter I would consider doing the following:
- Go with another radio rom, in case there are compatibility issues with this one.
- Might be a hardware problem so I would install the S2U2 utility by A_C (search on here to find it), set the options so that you can answer or drop calls on the touchscreen and see what happens. If the device allows you to answer calls via S2U2 and the touchscreen then you may have a hardware problem.
Let us know how you get on.

I have an 8525 with radio 1.54 jsut like yours and periodically I have the same problem...not 9 out of 10 times more like 1 out of 20...It usually happens when my phones been on for a while and memory is limited etc. I usually soft reset and its good
how long have you had your phone? if its old then maybe your button is broke????
Phone is practically new, only 6 months
I downloaded the WM6 from the HTC website and installed as is.
Rom: 3.62.502.3
Rom date : 10/11/07
Radio: 1.54.07.00
Running:

Hey all,
I've got a problem with pocket informant on my Rhodium.
Every 1-3 days PI freezes when I tap one of the soft buttons to access the PI menus. It always needs a soft-reset to get going again.
I havent been able to reproduce the problem, It seems to be somewhat random. It happens when the device is used for several days (all sorts of apps running) and when it just had a soft-reset. It seems to be a Dutch-rom problem since its been posted over a the Topaz forum too. And only users with a dutch rom have replied so far confirming the problem. ( LINK )
To sum it up: Seemingly random freezes after tapping soft-keys in Pocket Informant.
- No 3th party software seems to be involved
- Not device specific (Topaz and Rhodium affected)
- Seems to be Dutch-rom specific
ROM: 1.19.404.1 (51489) NLD
Radio: 3.44.25.27
PI version: 8.51
Anyone using PI on the TP2 having this problem too?
Had hte same problem
Go into settings>General and set it to use classic menus (not the soft key menu). Save out of settings and close PI. Open go into settings (General settings) and set it back to soft keys. close out of settings, close out of PI.
Worked for me.

if you read the official forum, they state it's a bug with htc large menu: it might be related to some languages, having sensibly longer words than english, that make it crash. it's htc fault, their code has some kind of bug. that explains the rhodium / topaz being affected, and why the dutch rom (but it's not the only language affected)
I had the same problem on a rhodium using the italian translation of PI. Tried with an english version, and so far so good, never froze again. Never. simply perfect!
surely they've taken into account this problem for newer versions of PI (I wouldn't rely that much on htc..)
regards
No problem on my TP2 using PI 8.52
