CorePlayer problem - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile General

Hi,
I have here some problem with media players like CorePlayer or Nitrogen. If I play some music with this player, and switch off the screen, the players are also switched off.
Music and players on the SD cards.
No problem with the WMPlayer.
Have enybody how to solve it?
Thanks !

Getting the same problem. Does your phone "forget" you have a memory card?

He wasnt exactly very descriptive but i dont think thats the problem.

mastermarv's solution does get (what I perceive to be) the required result, but it is a bit of pain to have to always do that.
I'd also be interested to know if anyone's figured out a way to tweak it so you can just hit the power button.

Any update?
Hi,
Does anyone has come with a solution/tweak/cab for turning off screen during coreplayer playback without stop music?
I´ve serached but nothing found.
Any help is much apreciated.

Hey Orb...I don't know about coreplayer, but if you havent' checked out Nitrogen recently it now has a button right on the front of the player UI that turns off the screen but leaves the music playing. I don't know if you're that sold on coreplayer, but nitrogen does have that function now, just fyi.

Thanks a lot, I´ll give it a try
Anyway would be nice to have a solution on coreplayer

There is a cab that does exactly what you guys want. I use it with core player with no issues at all.

Thanks a lot!!
Will test immediately

You can use the built-in Windows Media Player or some third-party program such as TCPMP (ex-Betaplayer).
Really? I had been told that the IIs didnt support MP3s

Any FREE media players for Dash?

As we all know Windows Media Player is a memory hog. Trying to send a text while listening to a song seems to take hours. Can anybody please tell me if there is a free media app thats better than Windows? I dont care much about video just something thats not so heavy on the phone that plays MP3 and WMA.
I did do a search and all I saw was people recomending PocketPlayer, but that costs money. I did find DivX.cab (comes with set-up files too), Im about to try it out but i really dont like installing extra software on my PC just for a media player on my phone. THanks for any help folks!
EDIT: DivX is only video, but it looks really nice for those of you who like to watch vids on their phone.

you can pm me
Try nitrogen 0.3.1 by microfi. not sure if it supports wma yet but he is working on more and more all the time. can make ur own skins aswell.
cool! ill check it out and wma is no biggie since i can always convert, I just use wma since the files are typically smaller.
tcmp is a good one
For M-peg files / PocketTV is the best! No lag and perfect lip sync with no skipping.
Thanks everybody for the help.
isnt pocket player the same as core player?

No PocketPlayer is the best Audio Player about with far more feature than CorePlayer with regards Audio.
The same in reverse CorePlayer is primaraly for Video and very good @ it.
So pair the 2 together and you have Multimedia covered.
ahh rather stick with the classic tcpmp, it ca do both..tried coreplayer..album art doesnt display it as big as tcpmp can

Yes it can do both, TCPMP is just the early release of CorePlayer, to which is why CorePlayer is far more advanced in it's playing capabilities, wouldn't use CorPlayer to play audio or TCPMP as they where mainly designed for Video, where as PocketPlayer has alot of features and is pristine when playing audio.

yeah! pocket player is my main music player, not only for local content in my phone, but also has the web guide that you can search web streams by category or genre , does podcast, you can bookmark streams, you can even use your regular bluetooth headset to listen to music, although I wouldn't recomend it, unless you have a stereo bluetooth headset. It even has an equalizer you can adjust to your liking.

You want help? Give us more info...
* What are you using to watch youtube videos? Somebody tell me if I´m wrong but, you can´t watch youtube videos with the rom only. You need an app to do that.
Here are some...
1 - Skyfire
2 - Youtube.cab - It lags a lot...
3 - Coreplayer - I use this one!
* What connection are you using? Wi-fi?
Sometimes connection is too slow to stream the video.
So... give us more info so you can get a better help....
Regards.
Thanks Joe, I just mentioned the Rom because I thought it might have something to do with it. I'm using wi-fi and I'm loading video using the youtube program from google, I'm assuming that's the youtube.cab ? I've been test playing the same video and it seems like the video freezes briefly at around the same times everytime. Skyfire seems to be working but the screen goes blank momentarily throughout a viewing. Coreplayer, I haven't tried but I'm assuming clicking a link on youtube would open up the player to play a video? I'm hoping there's a better way because that sounds more memory intensive. Thanks in advance for whatever help I can get.
Okay the YouTube official app is a sham and judders even on a Kaiser with extra grunt, skyfire is going though a server so all depends on that, CorePlayer will play anything thrown @ it, RTSP of YouTube is good quality... Not exactly memory intensive

I think you should give CorePlayer a try... the youtube.cab (from m.youtube.com) sucks. If you are going to try CorePlayer, it has its own youtube search engine built in. You do not search using a browser, you do it using CorePlayer.
I hope it helps.
Regards.

Have you tried converting the files to something that can be played on the phone?
Download the Divx player for windows mobile. I believe that does Mpeg4 files. You can find it by looking on google and searching "divix player windows mobile", or something like that.
i just tried divx player and the same problem, the video plays but the sound doesnt. and its not an old silent movie lol

well TCPMP has worked well for me in the past. You cannot convert it on your computer to a different format and then transfer it?
