Ok, here's what the thread is about. A couple of Asus devices, including (but, hey, not limited to P525 and P535 have the nowadays-rare bluetooth stack from Widcomm by default. I suggest we make a unified thread to collect all available ported versions of widcomm bluetooth stacks from other devices (like Zinc or HTC Mega). I guess the right way to do will be to post a brief description of each upgrade, its pros and cons, the name of the source device and, certainly, the link to the package
Ok, I start.
A port from HTC Mega, Widcomm version 1.9.0.5400
Pros
1. AADP works (I have verified it)
2. File Transfer works
3. Control Panel applet - works
4. Wireless Manager now handles it correctly (unlike the vanilla one which fails to turn on if turned off from widcomm)
5. Support for bluetooth in J2ME (if using HTC Mega Jblend package)
What's bad?
1. No tray icon
I have not tested SAP (Sim Access Profile),BT Headset, BT Printing, Object Transfer and so on. But they should work ok, I guess. If not - fix it.
The archive contains the OEM packages to be added to rom. Actually, only those files you need to replace in OEM packages. The OEMMisc holds the needed registry entries. To reconstruct full OEMDrivers and OEMMisc packages, copy files from the Merge\OEMDrivers and Merge\OEMMisc directory to the original folders, respectively. Also, copy the contents of rgu in Merge\OEMMisc to the rgu in the top-level OEMMisc folder. You'll have the same OEM I use on my PDA.
Important I have missed a tiny bit of my magic while uploading the packages. For BT to turn on and be controllable from wireless manager, apply the fix (especially the first entry. By default the port number is wrong and won't work at all)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WIDCOMM\BTConfig\SerialTransport]
"Port"=dword:00000002
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\BluetoothRadioOffOverride]

To Test java, copy the dlls to your rom and add the package

hi.
What is the destination ROM version?
Related
Right.... so..... I installed WM2005, and it was OK, except that I couldn't read anything from my SIM. Dying to get my hands on a Universal now though!
Trying to downgrade to 2003SE, I ran a freshly cooked ROM from Stefan's kitchen and it didn't work. GetDeviceData failed, and the app seemed to not recognise that the device was connected.
So I grabbed O2's latest thang from their website. THAT seems to be able to read the device data from 2005 without a problem. At first, it screwed everything up as my XP decided it wanted to do some stuff with drivers and the device got locked in the Bootloader.
I reinstalled WM2005 - since that will install on a completely empty device and won't whine if it can't see the device on ActiveSync or get the current version data.
I retried O2's thing, which proceeded to clear the ROM and dump a new one into it, upgrading the Radio Stack at the same time. Now I have a fully working O2 installation.
The ROM EXE I got from Stefan's kitchen still reports the same errors:
In the DOS window:
ERROR: GetDeviceData - Unspecified error
error getting devicedata
PROGRAMME A V1.09:
ERROR 011: EXECUTE REMOTE COMMUNICATION PROGRAM ERROR
Cannot execute the remote communication program.
Please make sure that the USB/Serial cable is properly connected.
This is with a completely clean O2 installation on an O2 device. About reads:
Microsoft (R) Pocket PC
Version 4.20.0 (Build 14053)
(C) 1996 - 2003 Microsoft Corporation.
As an aside - the WM2005 installer seems happy with doing stuff without first being able to check the existing versions, and never fails to install even if you have no OS on the device. Wouldn't it be a good plan to use this version in the ROMKitchen?
ROMKitchen is only for Wallaby devices and not for Himalaya or anything else......
Stefan
AAAAARGH!

guide to how you move to 2003SE
Thankyou
Hi pepl,
starting with a precisation: Free&Free stay for "Free from donation" and "Free for extract".
I don't want donation for my ROM, and it is a "NOT structured" ROM, so if you want, you can extract it and you'll find all package in SYS folder with dsm and rgu files, so you can use and personalize it.
A good coocker, if he wants, can rebuild olso rom structured, but this means many hours of hard work.
Why don't leave it not structured?
This is the first great BIG difference of my Arte-X.
And now the ROM:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",

}
Due to limitation number of image(4 x 3d)) , continue in next 3d.
IMPORTANT:
This rom is equiped with an "Extended Rom on SD", indispensable for complete ROM installation and for personal choiche of program you want install (yes there is a package of optional software).
So, it needs an SD on PPC with almost 40 Mb of avalaible free space.
First copy folder SDExtRom in your SD (don't change name, copy as is) and after flash.
Remember USPL unloocked.
And a raccomandation: at end, don't delete folder SDExtRom from SD; it is necessary in case of HR.
"SD Extended Rom" was my great intuition and i worked very hard to implement this system with a lot of advantge for ROM (no duplicate file, higt possibility of personalization without modify original registry.......etc.), and for user (except essential program in Rom, you can choose the way of personalize this rom with a selection of great software: TT6, Google Maps, more themes and rings, and a lot of other software included in Ext Rom on SD.
This is the 2d great difference with others Roms.
The Rom base is original WM6 from HTC and no new WM6.1: why this choice? Because:
- it's fast and stable
- has a very low drain battery
- M$ don't released an italian distribution
- many cookers make their rom "structured" and i have not time for rebuild, translate, test, retest etc. etc.....
S.O. and ALL main software are in italian language.
Some 3d part software (i did not have autorizathion from author)are not in Rom: they are in ExtRom on SD. Thanks to all author of that software (Mortscript, S2U2, PCMKeyboard, IM Selector etc. etc.).

Black 1-Calc Lite
1 Calc Lite black seems to have good feddback.
Here is the complete package (it's italian version but you can easly adapt in your localized version).
See HaRET WP7 and WP7 Console threads. I am waiting for answer from Mort, but some MortScript features are working already.
I will release XAP here as soon as.

I am happy UnZip MortScript command works well on WP7. Then we are able to simply unzip all ZIP and XAP archives downloaded from XDA by internet explorer on unlocked devices, PC using is unnecessary now. I can, for example, add simply plugin to Phone Commander application for archives unzipping from actual selection to inactive panel directory (like Total Commander internal unzipper).
Great Work
but you must make it more easy to use for people.

This is for advanced users only, do not use any of this if you don't know what you are doing.
this can potentially brick your phone forever.
this can't be made more easy, and there is also no need to make it more easy because all advanced users will know how it works
Greetings Cees
WP7 Mortscript UI
I finished first Mortscript dialog porting.
There is script example here:
Code:
# Message( "Input value" )
variable = Input( "Value:", "JS", false, true, "This is the default string." )
Message( "Your input: " + variable )
There is script UI on WP7 device:

You can play with Phone Commander and attached exe file (first version with a little UI functions amount ported only). Place it to any device folder and run from Phone Commander. Exe will make automatical registration. Now you can write mscr scripts in Phone Commander or WP7 Root Tools and run then by simple tapping. Phone commander does not offer file creation still, you can copy any file from other directory, rename it to MyScript.mscr and edit by "F3" PCMD function.
Big Request:
I found Mortscript 4.2 sources SP version only on the net. I contacted Mirko Schenk (Mort) here on XDA, but he do not walk here last time probably. Are you able somebody offer me newest (probably 4.3 beta 15) Mortscript source code? Porting to WP7 is a hard work, it will better to do it to the newest Mortscript version with more abilities.
I intend to port to WP7 device fully fledged WEC7 OS (USB Host/OTG, Flash animations in the fully featured Internet Explorer, XP-like explorer design, Multiple formats media player etc.) with preservation of WP7 applications in the near future. Many WEC / WCE applications work unchanged, the problem is only with the addition of the core (especially missing UI API) and fixing some drivers. If you want someone to play, for example, there is a kernel tracker listing. Place the attached exe and dll files in the \Windows directory, you can start logging by WP7 console command:
\> CeLogFlush.exe
Logging will finished by device power switching off or by W.I.N.C.O wPhoManager Process Kill function.
Registry needed (in my device are rest probably from the Dynamics ROM authors):
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CeLog]
"FileName"="celog.clg"
"Transport"="LocalFile"
You can open logged file by Visual Studio 2008 Remote Tools / Kernel Tracker.

Very powerful WEC7 shell works on WP7 device too
Deploy shell.exe to \Windows directory. Now you can work from WP7 Console. Try for example:
\> shell -c gi proc
or
\> shell -c mi kernel
-c means "output to console"
2013 (similar WEC7) target controlling help is here.
Full Internet explorer for WP7
There is first version. After one working second it stays in "Failed to create swap chain" state. This is something from DirectX subsystem probably. Also "Too many favorites" mistake occures. If we solve it, we can use fully working IE on WP7 devices (grouped favorites, working flash and other plugins etc.).
Utilities big update
New Console7 version can offer to you many usable utilities, as cgacutil, etcha, ipconfig, ipconfig6, ipv6, kbdtest, msmqadm, ndisconfig, net, netlogctl, netstat, ping, rnaapp, route, services, shell, tracert, upnpreg and wlantool. With simply user interface you can write commands (or batch or Mort scripts) with big possibilities as on desktop Windows.

KITCHEN FOR SAMSUNG F62/M62**TESTED ON F62 FIRMWARE**INTRODUCTIONHello everyone so I just wanted to share this Android kitchen by CRB. I've been using this software for a while, and I have not encountered a single error or bug, and this is perfectly working in Windows 10 and windows 11. Below are the features of this software so that you people can use this software for the development purpose. Even though there are many Android kitchens are available in online, but this is specially designed for Samsung firmware so that you can easily compile or decompile the Samsung firmware. you can visit the official XDA THREAD over there but for now I have given the download link which I am currently using on my PC. You don't have to do anything you can use your windows itself to run this software. This is a tool for those who want to start learning how to make custom ROMs, or who just want to save some time with their ROM customization.
Thanks Note (THIS IS NOT MY WORK, JUST SHARING THE KITCHEN) :
