Plantronics 510 headset on SE X1 - General Accessories

I just found out that my Plantronics 510 bluetooth headset does not work with my new Sony Ericsson X1 (cannot play music) because it doesn't support a2dp (whatever that means). It worked just fine on my old Glofiish Windows mobile phone.
Anyway is there some cab file or any way to hack my phone so that I can use this headset or do I have to buy a new headset?
I found this old thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=356256
It mentions mentions a cab file that could work for Plantronics 520 but I don't know if it will also work for my 510. Also someone mentions it didn't work for him.

New BT apps allowing streaming HighQ MP3 towards BT headsets

I own a Bluetooth Motorola headset HS810.
I also own:
- a MDA compact
- a MDA III and
- a XDA II
I see that recently someone was able to USE BLUETOOTH NOT ONLY for receiving phone calls, but also for listening to MP3 and other sounds or musics (via Windows Media Player).
My GOAL IS TO USE my BT headset and HAVE THE SAME QUALITY THAT I CURRENTLY HAVE USING STANDARD HEADPHONES.
Now what about quality? I heard about ADSP, a new bluetooth stack which allow much higher sound quality, quasi-stereo quality.
My questions are:
1. can somebody please summarize what is the current development status? Can somebody clarify this subject to unprofessional and amateur users like me who are eager to use BT headsets and listen to MP3 (not only pick up phone calls)?
2. If this new BT stack (widcomm or toshiba or microsoft ?) is already available, then in which units can be implemented? MDA compact? XDA II? MDA III?
3. Supposing this new BT stack already exists and it enables Windows Media (or similar applications) to stream sound for BT heeadsets, THEN can I get “quasi Hi-Fi” sound quality with my current Bluetooth Motorola headset HS810 or shall I need a replacement, a better BT headset a new generation one?
Thanks for your kind suggestions

Bluetooth voicedial

Can anyone confirm whether the universal (MDA Pro fro T-Mobile) is capable of having a voicedial initiated via a bluetooth headset?
If not by default is there a small hack? I have a Skypower headset at the moment and which to pair and do this with the device.
Tried searching but 'bluetooth voicedial' returned no applicable results within the universal category
Thanks in advance
Gareth

Cingular 8125 and Logitech Ipod Bluetooth Headphones

Hi,
I followed all the instructions on adding a2dp to my ppc, I upgraded the rom,etc and ran the tornado thing. My 8125 sees the headphones and has the wireless stereo service, however, it does not actually connect to them as they even after I find the headphones theyt are still in discovery mode. Any ideas anyone.
I have exactly the same problem. I'll post the solution when I figure it out. I phoned iogear and they told me to set my 8125 to send the audio to the headphones instead of the speaker. Not helpful.
solution found
upgrade to the latest beta rom 225 and it should fix it
Sending all audio over bluetooth
Had similar problem when trying to send music from phone to the headphones. Found the tool, see attached, that has three small programs. There is a bit that has to be changed to tell the device to send all audio to the headphones, otherwise it just does it for phone calls.
The BTAudioOn forces the bit on. BTAudioOff forces the bit off. Just put them onto your device and run them directly. There is a also a toggle program, but it isn't intelligent. It does not query the system and toggle, but instead has its own tracker which gets out of synch.
Hope this helps. My apologies for not crediting the creator of the program, but I believe I found it at Microsoft's site.
Audio quality was very poor due to bluetooth on device. I tested with very old Cingular ROM. Have not tested with the latest 2.25 Cingular ROM to see if there is any improvement. Used Motorola's Stereo Bluetooth headset and also iPhone Stereo Headset with similar results.

XDA III connection Motorola S9 BT Stereo Headset

Hi all,
i had bought me a Motorola S9 Stereo BT Headset, that was working great with my Nokia N73 for calling and listening music.
But my XDA III (Blue Angel, Qtek 9090) doesnt support music streaming. Only calling. Is there a way to solve this problem?

in the meantime i found out, that the device must support A2DP. The Blue Angel didnt support that, but is there a new firmware avalaible with this function?
i have solved that problem by myself... just installed the cabs from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=264537&highlight=blue+angel+a2dp
big thanks!
Wich operating system do you use? WM2003 or WM5 or WM6?
I still use (an prefer) WM2003 (with the 1.0.0.3900 BT version) and don't know, if the linked cab is compatible to my device.
i use wm2003 and works fine

Bluetooth headset pairing problem

I don't know if this is the correct board, but here it goes..
I just bought Nokia BH-111 (http://nokia.ly/ACiqj6) bluetooth stereo headset and I can't pair it with my Omnia 7. Works fine with Nokia 5230 phone, so it's not a problem with the headset. The phone does not even detect the headset, it keeps showing "searching" and nothing happens.
This is what nokia product page says about compatibility:
"All phones, music players and other devices that support Bluetooth v. 2.1 + EDR, Handsfree Profile 1.5 and Headset Profile 1.0"
This microsoft support article ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2449475 ) has this to say abozt supported profiles:
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP 1.2)
Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP 1.3)
Hands Free Profile (HFP 1.5)
Headset Profile (HSP 1.1)
Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP 1.1)
+ v2.1 with EDR
So as you can see, WP supports EVERY one of those profiles and standards. What's the problem than?
Does your Omnia find other devices?
Omnias are notoriously bad for having faulty Bluetooth. My first one stopped working properly. Replacement is fine.
In the Omnia 7 section there are quite a few people who've reported it.
Thanks for the reply.
It seems that the issue is with WIFI and Bluetooth working together. After i turned wifi off, Omnia was able to find the headset. The playback is a little patchy, and rewind/fast forward does not work. Is this a reason enough to ask for a replacement? Does the warranty cover it?
EDIT: sorry i posted here, i thought it was WP software related, plus Omnia boards are almost empty.
