not the boot screen, the boot ANIMATION. the one that on the default has the scrolling "android". if you want to know how to change it on non-hero builds, check out the tutorial I made. the link to it is in my signature.

Eyes do not flash it's just the first screen that you see then it's the normal android bootup after that. But if you want to grab it feel free. My girl actually gave me an idea for one but have not had time to work on it yet might do it later this week.

Just wanted to post another splash i've been working on in honor of the BLACK roms.
Zip file contains the splash and the welcome screen.
You know, I think a Splash screen using AC/DC "Back in Black" album cover would be rather cool, then having a few bars of the song to be pretty neat too on the animation boot part.

Well, I took a shot at it. Just a little modification - needed to move the HTC logo. No point in obstructing the images best... um ... attributes.

Hey everyone, I had a pretty cool idea for a boot animation. Im running Cyanogen 5.0.7 test5 and I'm having trouble editing the screen myself, so I was hoping someone could help me out. I wanted to have the Stark Industries logo, and when my SD card mounts it has Jarvis voice saying "Good evening Mr. Stark, how may I assist you?". I already have the soundclip loaded, I just need the animation to go with it, any help?

Mount the card
Change the sound that you want to play at startup as your notification sound. When the SD card mounts (as it does as startup) it will play the sound

You don't flash it with recovery.
Put it on your sdcard
open terminal enter these commands:

I'm running Cyanogen 5.0.8-DS, and attached is my boot splash, but I'd like it to also be a bootanimation with the glow on the text sweeping from left to right. Also, if you could move the text closer to the bottom, that would be cool. After I flashed it, I realized that big gap looks ugly but it's late and I'm too tired to fix it tonight. I have searched every forum I can think of for a bootanimation tutorial and I haven't found one, so I figured I'd just toss this request out there.

We redid the MSID forums and so I had to redo all the bootsplash threads... was a PITA. But they are fixed now.

The white Google logo at the beginning when you turn the phone on.
All the other images I found are not of high enough quality.

I don't think you wanna mess around with this since the so called boot splash is built in to the kernel. If you know this stuff, change it in your kernel at the high risk of a brick and if you're a noob like me, just let it be.

You should also find out if the size of the image makes a difference with noting or is updates
I tried other images I found on Google Images but the resolution are too small.
I enlarged and expanded to size but it makes the Google Logo blurry and the detail deteriorates extremely.
Is there a way I can extract the original image?

It's always best to give out too much information rather than too little.

Now, OP you can probably find an image on google images or try to figure out how to extract it rom the splash image
