O2 Orbit Xda - 3D Acceleration Hardware Information - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

Can some one tell me that O2 Orbit Xda have 3d acceleration hardware if so please give me the link of Open GL/GS Drivers. Any idea to do this.
Thanks in advance.

There's no hardware acceleration

try these
put them in windows folder the might help you a bit.
and as stated above orbit does not have 3d hardware so you will get very poor performance

[Common Problem] Slow performance when using stylus or touch screen

I noticed that whenever you touch the screen, the device slows down BIG TIME. I mean if you try to use a CPU utilization app, it will show you that whenver you touch the screen, CPU utilization immediately jumps to 41-45%! And if you try, there is no way that you can actually play touchscreen games like Skyforce or KRally because of this problem.
I just want to know, is this problem ROM specific? for WM6? WM5? or is it really just a flaw in the device? I searched and found out here that the Trinity also suffers from this. I used to have a Himalaya and a Universal, and this was never a problem.
Is there a known solution for this?
I hope nobody will mention overclocking as a solution. Cause even overclocked, it is still slow.
HTC Advantage X7500 with 624Mhz CPU is suffering same problem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=305627
Looks like it's an HTC problem, and don't hesitate to write to HTC support for complaining
cheers
I guess nobody really cares about this issue and nobody tried to fix it. Not even HTC.. oh well.. I guess Hermes devices are just not bound for stylus intensive type games.
same thing..

parehas nga sir..never had this thing with all the other brands/ppc i have use before..htc lang ata..malas lang 838 pro pa..
anong rom gamit mo sir??
Dude, avoid speaking in tagalog.
I'm using WM6 TNT 2.0 Pro.. I also tried Schaps' ROMs, but it's a little slow for my taste. But regardless of the ROM, it still suffers from this issue. Also tried the ATI fix, no effect. It's either a bad hardware or driver design/fault.. and sadly, nobody could fix it.
I think Ill bring this topic back to life...anyone found a solution?
I've noticed this a lot in games like skyforce. Makes the game a lot easier though Hope someone comes up with a fix.
want just to bring this back to life again
as I know this haven't been fixed yet
Would be really cool if somebody has a solution
Other phones have this problem got fixed so why not ours too?

Yeah! really appreciate if someone already figured out the reason behind this..
I can't even play skyforce on my Hermes which I enjoy playing on my O2 XDA II mini.
I have the same problem, i try to remove "HTC Home", from Today Menu.
Now its work fine.
I hope that is the solution
I have TyTn II with WM 6.1
well you must know that We have a strong arm processor... samsung... very powerfull at 400mhz nice but the god dam ati accelerator makes the issue!
even tho in newer builds in 6.5.1... we are experiencing new issue touch response at repeatedly tapping...
So i think is a mix betwen Processor acelerator and the OS... If you are in winmo6.5.1 and you dislike that delay at tapping this key allows you to tap more fast not so fast as first 6.5 but good enogh to continue with the sip typing... the games are... games... Skyforce in a Universal with almost 600mhz has the same delay... in 6.1 and 6.5 so... in games the procesor is important but the stability and the PAGEPOOL is the meaning of our troubles. i have cook with 4 PP and the new IE cant works fine but skyfire works good... MSFT develops his PP at 15mb!!!!! to test the speed on IE... just to reinforce my point of view...
the reg to fix the delay at touch response ( alil fix )...
[HKLM\System\GWE\Touch\Filter]
"MinimumTapTime" Dword=5 in hexadecimal!!!!

Well, with a raw CPU power test (using 7zip's built-in test) it comes as good as XScale at the same clock frequency so it seems it's really powerful.
Thank's for the response.
I try to find your key, but there isn't. I use PHM Registry Editor, i use also "Find", but nothing.
Thank you
(excuse me for the english.... i'am italian)
My stupid minutes yesterday... i tho we have Intel StrongARM Xscale....
Yeah here the principal word that you may read... are, newer versions of wm6.5.1

Yes, its a German (407) ROM. Very similar to the 1.93 HTC ROM. Maybe Sushilange can stick "German" into the topic...
Ah damn, sorry! I forgot it :'(
Unfortunately only german users can use it. When I tried upgrade my diamond after 2% mobile reseted and normal started.
Did someone notice the 'PT_DDI_1.93_0808.cab' in \windows containing a file named 'ddi.dll'?
The changelog on O²'s support page mentions something like 'New graphics driver with better performance'.
I just uploaded it. Maybe it's of interest to our gurus, too. ;-)
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NJW0QL9A
that is quite interesting would there be any way to check if its really a newer version of the ddi.dll?
I'll test this cab with HTC's 1.93 ROM because O²'s colour scheme gives me bird flu.
I'm already testing the O² ROM with several videos in various codecs and bitrates. So far MP4 (640x480, up to 900kbps) is played nicely even in album view.
It could give us a hint if video performance is better with this ddi.dll.
Nice one.

Hi asticinzano.
Great post but the download link says "The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable", could you re upload so we can test and report our findings.
Thanks.
Edit:OK now thanks..
The megaupload-link still works.
I just uploaded it to a different filehoster. Just in case.

Cheers asticinzano.
Flashing back to 1.34.831.1 now to see if it improves on the slow original TouchFLO 3D, and the moving graphics, i.e lost when you upgrade to 1.93 ROM's.
Editiden' see the graphics changelog you mentioned from the O2 german site? only a reference to New diagram drivers with better performance?
http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translat...iamond/index.html&lp=de_en&btnTrUrl=Translate
Yahoo Babelfish is useless in this case. It really means graphics and not diagram.
"Neue Grafik-Treiber mit besserer Performance" means:
New graphics driver with better performance.
Mhh interesting, i will give it a try today
[Edit]
Finalley I have installed this Rom.
Before I used to have the original HTC 1.93 Rom.
In my opinion it is somehow a bit faster in my eyes, TF3D is smoother than before.
But test it for yourself, it is worth a try

It doesnt now work with Hermes as Josh said! Its slow even in my kaiser, and its not practical to use to daily due to standby issues. I wont recommend using it unless you have raphael or phones like that!
To be frank, I dont think we will ever get a "full" D3D driver for the Hermes.
HTC is awful about drivers, its a real shame to.
I DID have the old TouchFlow 3D betas running, at 3fps, but running.
Its been some time since I had a Hermes, but, give me 2-4working days and ill try and see what I can find. (New phone gets here then!)

I hope to see a TF3D also but I can understand the Hermes device is at its limit/end.

WM6.5 for ultimate 9502

Hello guys!
I know that you guys support only HTC phones, but duo to your amazing works, i decided to ask here. I have I-mate ultimate 9502 wm6.1 and i would i to have wm6.5 (very jealous lol). My question is:- anyone knows if there is any cooked wm6.5 for ultimate devices?? or if there is any cooked wm6.5 that can be used on 9502?
Thanks
I'm using 9502 and 6150.
And it seems this site is HTC Developers or something like all-except-imate developers. They won't create subforum for imate, not even one. And if I ask something about imate, ppls here will just switch to pretend-that-there-is-no-post-about-imate mode... even if they see it, they just banish ppls that ask about imate stuffs.
And personally I think this site, XDA-Devs is so bad, not only they so HTC-crap oriented. Many ppls here just cant solve any small problem, for ex: my Windows Live Messenger Mobile's emoticon suddenly disappeared for unknown reason..
I ask it here and no one able to solve that...
How do you expect ppls here CAN or ABLE to break imate ROM lock to create new WM6.5 or upcoming WM7 ROM?
I'm so pessimist with people here, they're so HTC oriented and don't care about imate users. They should change their name to HTC-Developers so ppls know that this site is not for all PDA...
its so sad and disheartening...
but thank god i have a htC
thank god i have a diamond lol

XDA is a specific kind of device manufactured by HTC. XDA's all share a common architecture which means the unlocking and ROM flashing process is very similar. The Xperia X1 for instance was manufactured by HTC and thus shares this architecture. Devices such as the imate ultimates are very different. Perhaps they could be figured out too, but unfortunately there just may not be enough popularity for those devices. Whether or not a device will have XDA support is a factor when I decide to purchase a wm device.
Perhaps someone else can give a better explanation of what exactly an XDA is but hopefully you kind of get the idea from my explanation.
I know XDA, it the old kind of PDA, before PDA (from Wikipedia).
What I think is: even 9502 got the same hardware as Diamond, so what's the diff?
I can use Diamond's driver and HTC things in my imate, so what? diff architecture? I don't think so...

honestly not to blow your bubble but i doubt you will ever be able to update winmo 6.5. as for a cooked rom , you are definetly not in the right forum . i checked on google for you and theres so custom roms having 6.5 or even 6.1 lol . so i think you could just try spb mobile shell to give your phone a new look . . sayonara
No, you can't since 9501 got more advanced function like Quadband GSM, Tiband UMTS, TV-Out and many more. Plus the ROM Update is locked with special password.
But the rest, the basic architechture (MSM7200) is the same as Diamond.

Hi, that is the difference between imate and htc, you mention it.
And I guess, not just that, they can share the same architecture, but there's must be many differences between the two pdas.
let say an xda atom comparing to hp ipaq 6282(cmiiw), they both hv same hardware configuration, but they have really different drivers to use.
And maybe that's why there's no such cooked rom 4 imate, etc
Thanks for the suggestion, I wish it had worked.

No, won't work, even if you have an HTC device and try to install a ROM that was intended for another HTC device still won't work, ROMs are device specific.
Btw, I had an Ultimate 9502 but I sold it because of the limited support that Imate devices have and I got an HTC instead.
I don't think you'll be getting any more support anytime soon because the company has been closed.

Yup, you're right. But I think there a bunch of clever devs here that can oversome this lil problem I guess... Or my guess is wrong? Devs here are not as clever as I think so they can't even break this ROM lock?
I'm trying to cook a ROM now for Ultimate 9502, tho i'm so professional but i know how to read those amazing threads that you guys have writen. My question now is:- is there anyone who can help i case i need some professional advices??

WOW! ^^ Yup, there's some people here like Shonky or casouzaj that can help you... I can help you a little, but not for doing program disassembly. I had tried to reverse engineer the EUM for flashing but couldn't find the solution for ROM lock. But I'm able to confirm that the camera.exe for 9502 is natively capable of GPS-Photo but lack of required registry code/system files. And the A-GPS is supported but no one can utilize the API. For A-GPS, you can check in the registry, there is a key named HKLM\Software\Mobi\agps, inside there's some keys with blank value. Tried to fill them but got no luck. Hope you can continue developing ROM for our devices. Thank you very much. ^^
You are welcome man. What i really need to know now is how to find the damn XIP start, i have read maybe all the threads about xip but still the damn RomMaster is giving me an error. In my opinion there is somethinig wrong when i splitnb and then imgfsfromnb, it gives me an imgfs that has a size of 0 is that the right way u did it?
Hmmm, from the way that I did....
I just read it somewhere that the core and XIP for imate series ROM is compressed. Therefore need additional tool to extract it. So we can't extract it by usual HTC ROM method.
And I just realized that, and that's explain why my compiled ROM got smaller size than the original ROM even though I didn't alter anything, just decompile and recompile.

inform me about program tester for HTC touch HD

Hi Everybody,
please inform me about possibility of program tester to check and all hardware and software for HTC touch HD or as common for all windows mobile pocket PCs.
Thanks to all you in advance for helping me
Babak
sorry for possible misunderstanding, but do you want to be a tester, or are you looking for testers?
or do you mean just emulator for testing apps, written on pc... ?
thanks
I think he means a program to check that the phones hardware is functioning properly.
