Hi,
I just have the device out of the box, and i wonder where i can find the calibrate screen settings. The settings menu seems to have no such entry anymore. Is the screen self-calibrating or am I just missing out on something?
Best regards,
Jan
Noticed the same thing. Guess it's not required anymore.
hi,
navigate to settings\all settings\system tab\screen
for screen alignment.
regards,
twisted
Ah thank you. It was somewhat hidden

Hmm, not quite sure how I did this, but I can't seem to get any panels to display on my home screen. It doesn't matter which home screen I choose, I end up with the attached screen shot. I've tried using CHome config to show panels, and while that application is showing the correct 5 panels as active, nothing shows up on my home screen. Any help is appreciated folks. Thanks!

That's easier than what i was going to do (reload the ROM)... that worked, thanks! I always forget that's an option.
Is there some way to make different wallpapers on lock-screen and WM menu? Thanks for your answer...

Any other ideas?
Hey,
Go start -> settings -> Home
Under appearance check that box "Use this picture as the background"
Hit browse then choose the file you want.
Hope this helps,
Alex

Don't you have 'Lock Screen Wallpaper' item in Manila's Settings|Personalize menu?
Or you don't like to have the same wallpaper in lock screen and Start menu?

This method works, but only if you enable default WM lockscreen via registry
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\LockScreen\OEM]
"CustomUIDLL"="\\windows\\lockscreen.dll"
Looks not so bad
I have used this .cpr files: View attachment lock.zip
I suddenly found the solution
Simply set the wm background in manilla. After that set the lockscreen through Resco Photo Manager (it affects only the lockscreen wallpaper)
P.S. After setting up a new wallpapers on wm menu, it became the same with lockscreen again. So got to go to the Resco P.M. once more...

After we got co0kie home tab.. Does it mean that we can use the S2U2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=527523
Thanks.
Yeah.. You can always use S2U2.. But as it is not a HVGA version so QVGA Version might make you feel everything small. But, it will work perfectly.!!

Maybe you have made some mistake. Read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=789360
S2U2 is working fine with hd mini
increase "Text Size" in settings
To have bigger icons, unzip the attached files (gfx folder) to your s2u2 directory. It is not my work. I get it from xda, but i can't find the post anymore
For double lock issues, set "Replace WM6.5 system manual lock" to yes in settings, soft reset then launch s2u2. It should block the windows lock screen.
Hope it helps, I do not use s2u2 anymore. I have switched to cht lockscreen

I've noticed on some phones such as Samsung Omnia 7, the option to set screen timeout to never had been removed. It is available on other phones such as HTC HD7. Does anyone know of a way to enable the option on phones where it's missing?
i just searched for it and found it
here you go
HKey_Local_Machine --> Control Panel --> Lock --> DisableNever key is set to dword:1 set this to dword:0
this will add the never option to your list of options
Thanks Marvin_S
Why do companies like Samsung just remove this option?
Because it can cause damage to the screens if left on all the time. Remember the two Samsung WP7 phones have SAMOLED screens - all others have LCD of some sort.

I know for this much that its a HUGE pain in the but while trying to use bing to navigate while driving... constantly having to "tap" the screen to keep it from turning off.
They could at least have an option to have it so it doesnt shut off while certain aps are running.

Once Bing Maps introduces turn-by-turn navigation (inevitable) they may implement something that lets the screen go to sleep between instructions, but wake up at important parts. Tom Tom have something like that on their devices...

Thanks but how can I access this registry?
You have to have a Chevron-unlocked WP7-Device and a Registry Viewer App. Then you can change it.

My Focus is developer-unlocked and I successfully changed the registry value ( DisableNever is 0), but no joy. I even did a hard reset on the phone. Screen time-out options still only show values from 30 secs. to 5 mins. Any suggestions?

you can also use wpinternals.net app and reboot in mass storage mode, then use windows regedit to access
1)choose "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE"
"file>Load Hive>[phone_storage_disk]:\windows\system32\config\software" , name it "PHONE_SOFTWARE"
2)then go to this path:
MY PC\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\PHONE_Software\Microsoft\Settings\Lock
and set DisableNever to 0
3)finally choose on "PHONE_SOFTWARE" and click "file>UnLoad Hive"
then reboot in normal mode and will see "Never" option
really 100 % working method, very easy, dont need root or so on!!!:хорошо:
(tested on my lumia 520)
I had a friend bring a unit to my house that has the CPU usage and other information displayed constantly in a bar across the top of the screen while in XBMC... I have no idea how this was set or more importantly how to get rid of it. Out of all the units I've used and played with I've never seen this before.
Can someone tell me what would have caused this and where the setting is to disable or turn it off?
Thanks!
Regards to all!
Bill
In which skin?
In Mimic:
- Go to System/Skin Settings/Home Window/Setup the main menu
- In each of your enabled sections, go to Select infoline, at the bottom of the list is System info
- In Mimic, at least, you need to select this for every section, so you can have different infoline information depending on which selection/section you have highlighted on the home screen
I assume it's somewhere similar, but not exactly the same, for different skins. I couldn't find it in the default Confluence skin.

Go to SYSTEM>SETTINGS>SYSTEM>DEBUGGING and uncheck "enable debug logging"
you may have to set "setting level" to advanced to see DEBUGGING
Just got this.... Will call my friend and have him check that. Thank you so much!!!

Problem solved... Thank you again! Last night I went into expert level and checked all of the settings on one of my units here and somehow never saw that......don't know how I missed it, but I appreciate the answer.
