I know that I am supposed to search, but for the life of me, I cannot find what I am looking for.
I have a Tmobile Dash. When I install some of the newer roms, they change the layout to be the Excalibur layout. Like on the dash the Q is with a % instead of the ! that is with the excalibur.
I am looking for a cab or something to change the layout so I can txt properly. Thank you in advance

Well i have no info on your location? So with guestermation download TegiceT9 install soft-reset phone.
Just edit your eT9.Excalibur.0409.kmap.txt. How you can make it plz read here.

Edit the registry so you keyboard language will reflect your system language:
Goto the following registry entry
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Oem\Qwerty]
There is a key called 'Layout' and it is in Decimal.
The default value of English ROM is 20409, and Chinese ROM is 20404 (both are in hexadecimal).
The suitable value for German Hermes keyboard is 20407 (132103 in decimal).
The suitable value for Spanish Hermes keyboard is 2040a (132106 in decimal).
Probably Hermes use 20+country ID (409=WWE, 407=German, 404=Trad. Chinese, etc...) format for keyboard layout value.
After changing these settings soft reset the device to make it work.
If you are using Cingular device there should be a CAB floating around, use search.
i tried to search...i used the cingular wap settings but didn't find another cingular cab...if you can post it here...it would be greatly appreciated...

I am using Google to find what needed on this site. If you use good search query you will get better results than with integrated search (and usually it is faster too ).

A lot of it may be that we have read a lot of posts and happen to remember which thread it was in, however, I just did a search to see if I could find it.
"Cingular keyboard fix cab" is what I used. It was the third post down. When looking for a file, just click the little paperclip and it will show all the available files in that thread.
Much easier than reading 400 posts.

I downloaded this path but i am not sure what to do with them after extracting them. I am new to upgrading my hermes. I am running Schap's 4.31 rom. I am trying to get my keyboard to operate correctly. I tried a few of the ways above and have failed.

You can use
1) advanced config to set the keyboard language
2) DONT extract the cab, just copy it to your phone, then click on it in file explorer, it will install then.

I entered 40409 in "Decimal" and it worked after a soft reset.
Previously I entered 20409 and it did not.
Edit: I have some buttons which still do not work.
The ' and &.

dont worry about the keyboard layout too much. just READ the forums and you will see that there are keyboard fixes for all of the known layout issues. some like the ROMs from Custel even allow you to change the layout through a built in application in the setting.

Does the Skizzo's cab work for you?
I installed it and now the spellchecker and the dictionary are in italian but the keyboard layout is still without the èòàù etc etc.

No, just the one called : Italian Settings.cab on the first post of Skizzo's thread.
well yesterday and today i try 3 different ROM WWE and in all 3 i use that file for re-map the keyboard layout and all work great...every 3 times...
Bytheway what kind of TyTN are you using? I use a NO Brand Italian one...

I had to remove the last few programs (all old games) and now the fonts are back to normal!
I know but this is no solution, I've answerd back. I need to change the font and the font size because I want to keep the dictionary, it was expensive, and after installing the dictionary the fon and fontsize changed.
So please tell me/us someone where are the reg entrys for the cube and com manager for their font and fontsize links?
Does anyone knew how to disable the XT9 for Asus p750, im using WM6.1 by sorg I just want to change the default to ABC when Im writing an SMS.

I recently installed the 0.19 version of the Sorg VGA ROM and I must say, my P750 is working much more stable. I didn't notice any problem with the memory.
The main problem I now have is the following: I tried to disable xt9 functionality that was really annoying me. I found a site on this forum telling about a registry tweak. I tried it, but unfortunately the xt9 is still present. So I tried until I was able to disable xt9 and word suggestion feature. Now my problem is, that I only can type numbers!! With the virtual keyboard it works, with the physical one, it doesn't. I'm really desperate, I tried to revert my changes but nothing seems to happen. Even when I reset the device (after appyling registry changes) nothing but numbers!
So my question/request to you:
could somone out there make a screenshot of his registry (ASUS P750), of course not of the whole one but only of the following path, since this is the one I messed up:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\IME

Yes im having the same issue.. people say there are fixes via registry... but i dont know how to access them.. if someone can either tell me how to get it done via regedit or setup a cab file for me.. it would be much appreciated..

I'm running Tom's Oops Black-ROM on my Artemis, and I absolutely love it.
I just have one question, I'd like to change the T9 language to dutch. Is that even possible? I;ve searched this forum and Google, but all I found were some references to registry-keys that don't exist on my Artemis. I think it schould be possible, because some claim it was done, but I can't seem to find a forumpost or website that has a correct how-to for this.
I just want to change the T9-language. For the menu's etc WWE is just fine for me.
