I've noticed that the NoData app always hangs when I try to run it after a soft reset. The icon for it also disappears. I always need to re-install it to correct the problem, which is a pain.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Okay so I was just on my phone, i took the battery out, took the sim out and put it all together and turned it on and for some reason there is no tf3d, the bottom links are calendar and contacts, there is nothing on the main screen apart from the htc logo and the start menu is the normal windows mobile one!#
Whats happened?!
Any help how to fix?
Thanks, Chris
What had you done before you turned the device off? What did you install? Sounds like something was installed before and needed a reset to take effect.
Have a look in the remove programs and remove anything you recently installed, should fix it then after soft reset.
Tried that, nothing happened... After I restarted it was the same so I did the delete data reset thing and its fine... Just need to reinstall my apps etc now.
Thanks, Chris

Occasionally TF can get stuck when loading, a soft reset can normally fix this, also it's possible that you had unticked it in start / settings / personal / today.

i have a day-old desire which i initially loaded up with a few apps but found that the process would crash when i tried to manage my applications.
i guessed that one of my apps was causing this so i did a hard reset (clear storage).
now when i try and enter my vodafone apn settings the process there crashes.
i've done another hard reset but this hasn't fixed it ...
is there some way that i can fully restore the phone to factory settings or do i now have to return the phone ?
thanks in advance
have found that Privacy / Factory Reset has solved the problem.
I've just updated my Desire (stock, not rooted) with the new firmware update (2.10.405.2) Since then some apps don't work. I press the icon/widget to start them and the first screen flashes up then disappears, sometimes with a force close error message that disappears as well. I've not tried all my apps yet, but I can't load Opera Mini, NewsRob or the stock Browser. I also can't load Gmail via the Gmail Unread Count widget, but can via the Gmail shortcut.
I've tried simple things, like restarting the phone and uninstalling then reinstalling the apps, but that's not helped.
Has anyone else got this problem? Anyone know the answer?
Try resetting your phone and then set the phone up again before trying any apps.

I was hoping to avoid having to do that, because I don't want to lose all my SMS etc.
Are there any other possibilities to fix it, or has anyone else got the same problem?
you cannot load the stock browser?!?
I updated my stock HTC Desire and everything is fine including stock browser.
sounds like a reset might be your only option unfortunately.
This is why I delete SMSs once read...one less thing to have to back up!! LOL!!!
Reset is the only way unfortunately
OK, I've tried resetting my phone and it's still not working! In fact it's got worse, because the market isn't working either!
Any more ideas?
Please?
Hi.
I have the latest leedroid rom with the latest radio.
I have an unlimited cellular internet that works great on the cell phone itself.
When I try to use it as a hotspot I can only connect to Gmail from my computer. All the other sites show me a http denial message.
I read somewhere else in the forums that someone had a similar problem so he flashed the rom again but without any of the apps. I did the same and it worked like a charm. He then reinstalled the apps and it kept on working. I tried it and it stopped.
Before I try the very annoying attempt of uninstalling app by app until it starts working, I'd like to ask if anyone knows of some apps that cause this problem.
I was thinking of things like the AVG or viber/whatsapp. Meaning apps that keep working all the time in the background and use the internet.
Any ideas?
Thanks
fixed!
as it seems, some of the user data files stored in the titanium backup was the cause of it. I can't tell which one but when I flashed the ROM again after a full wipe and factory reset it worked great. I then restored only the data files and the problem repeated so I reflashed it with the wipe and factory reset and restored all the apps but non of the data files and it is working great!
Lately my phone has been locking up at boot then rebooting. The exact symptoms as far as I can tell is the phone boots like normal but something that's running in the background causes the phone to freeze if I start using it too soon (to say check mail, surf the web, start google music etc). The screen freezes then after about a minute or so the phone reboots.
I'm sure there's some way to get a log of what's running at startup and ideally identify which app is causing the lockup. You anybody have any ideas?

Have you tried any of the following:
Clearing Cache and Dalvik Cache (in a custom recovery)
Fixing permissions (in a custom recovery)
If neither of the two above work, try clearing data with a factory reset (again, in a custom recovery).
Tried as you suggested and it didn’t make a difference.
On the subject what does 'fixing permissions' do? How would that help?
As for the factory reset, that's my last resort if I can't find some way to log what apps are running at boot.

Well, Rom Toolbox Pro has the "Auto Start Manager" which allows you to analyze which apps run at boot and to disable the items which might cause lag. It looks a lot different than the Windows msc.exe menu and I honestly don't know anything about how this works and it seems that a lot of them are widget-related (which makes sense).
Fixing Permissions in Recovery basically takes the apks in /system and gives them read/write access. This is needed for system apps to run correctly. It typically isn't useful unless you're pushing apps to become system apps, then it helps to fix permissions. I was a bit doubtful that it'd help in your case, but I know that is some system apps are force-closing, fixing permissions can help.
