BACKUPSMS by DOPOD china -> free utility to backup SMS

I ve just found this in DOPOD CHINA hompage, I had test it with my XDA II mini, and it works

It should work for other pocketpc phones
Nevertheless, it's in chinese...
just unzip the file and run the 'backupsms.exe'in your ppc phone,
on the right bottom corner u can access the pull down menu,
u ll then see 3 options,
top one = ABOUT
middle one = SMS>
bottom one = CLOSE
Press the SMS>
there ll be 3 items,
top = backup
middle = restore
bottom = delete
have FUN

The file is corrupted. Can you please recheck and upload it again.

i partially translated it base on your explanation or translation ..
but it still need lots of translation .. since im not a chinese and cannot read one ..
i only test it with himalaya ..

SMSbackup for Dopod
Hi , anyone still have the software PPCBackupSMS.zip?? I need to backup my old 818 pro Dopod SMS. All the above links are all outdated and couldn't access to the files anymore. Appreciate it anyone of you have it can post it again!! Thanks!!

to back up any pim data, you can use either ms myphone or pimbackup. you'll find both in the thread linked in my signature

Yep, as chef said, PIMbackup works great...and will work on pretty much any Windows Mobile phone so you can easily import your SMS to another phone

yes, but maybe sometimes, storing into registry my reg keys, they maybe can be lost after a softreset, I'm ready a v2 version, that store default sip also in an .ini file.. I'm upping it, try it too!!!

I've tried to install. When I launch installer, it says I've the old version installed, I choose to remove it and deinstallation fails. Installer goes on but it fails too...

try to delete manually he files from \windows\ folder:
sipdaemon.exe ans sipselector.exe
or softreset before install cab...

My P3600 fails to startup at softreset... I've reflashed rom, installed sip changer v2 again, selected my fav SIP and P3600 locked at startup again... What'up?..

ok,, version 3 is ready, only found an iusse with touchpal, seems that it desappear from sip list, after softreset, someone has this problem too???

after some tests, this version (v3) seems works well eith all external keyboard that I've installed!!! also with touchpal pro!!

Uninstalled V1, installed V3, froze on bootup. Can't get past 2nd boot screen. Re-Flashing now... Using PocketCM Keyboard on WM 6.1 v3.0L

With Touch Keyboard V3 works well.

when you prefer a keyboard on your ppc, and isn't the default keyboard, at softreset, you have to set it that you prefer, with this appz, you select your preferred keyboard, and after softreset, my program provides to set it as default keyboard, so no more you have to change the keyboard after a softreset...

How to disable/remove Keytouch from Kavana's 6.1?

Hi everybody.
The kavana 6.1 rom works great on my phone, yet the keytouch IME is giving me a lot of headache.
Could anyone tell me how could I uninstall Keytouch, so that I can switch to other IMEs, such as et9 and MSPY?
I've searched the forum and some other places too, but information on removing keytouch is found.

Ya no kidding it was kinda cool at first but now its just annoying and it's laggy. if i knew Chinese it would be great but for English you don't need anything fancy like that.
So Someone help can it be removed or disabled?

Kinda it's in one of Kavanas new roms it's for chinese and english but frankly i don't need it. I did find something out though.
To make it so it's English only goto and change registry to whats bellow
HKEY_Current_User\Software\HTC\KeyTouch
SupportedLang EN
SupportedLangCount 1
That will remove the Chinese functionality. Which helps alot but doesn't make it perfect.
To remove it all together You'd have to change the registry to the following
HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e0010409
Ime File compime.dll
Layout Text COMP IME
BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM
there is no compime.dll in the rom which means we would have to find the english one from another rom and install it to our windows directory. I am not quite sure it that is right so please con someone help out with this file XD

dude no it wont. this is Keytouch it hijacks that menu it isn't your original rom setup.

lmao i dont know why it took so long for me to think of this.
Go to this forum download and install Tegic T9 then you can do the Fn + Space thing. It makes key touch go poof.

Well, not for me.
After softreset it says : its not windows valid or some files are missing.

disable touchflo, install the cab then soft reset.
program, panels.
about 15 mins whith, no crash.

edit the shortcut in the "autostart" folder! to your specific language
by me it was "program files" to "programme"
but the panel did not start on my touch hd

Once you open a panel how do you go back to list of all panels.
Im having to close out and start over.

The file you have to use to run the program is PanelManager.exe, but you have to run PanelManagerShow.exe before it.

tested on my HD ROM Dib V.1 and works ....
but I must say that it is very slow

eT9 Full not working good help please

installed latest 6.1 kavana
after that i installed "eT9 Full" but its not working corect even if i select "ABC"
when i press "N" to get "&" i get "@" the simbols are messed up
i need help
my s620 is no tmobile none other operator i got it free mode to any network

that's how it works man. The @ sign is alt N. If you need to use a symbol just use the camera button. It will bring up the symbols screen where you can just select from there. I am running the same ROM and et9 full. It's not a big issue though its the same with alt M instead of ! like it should be alt M with et9 full gives you the equal sign =. Just hit the camera button and select symbols from that screen that's what I do man. Hope this helps!

but on rose or 6.5 works fine :|
so there is no fix for this one ?

I don't think so man. It's not really a big deal though. The only thing I could think of is taking the keymap from another ROM and installing it on the kavana.

Are you sure you want eT9Full and not TegiceT9 as in English [email protected]
Check sticky for TegiceT9 it's under Keymap US

Ha does it really bother you that much man? The only keys I know of that are off is J and M.

but like stlyez said if you check under the stickies posted as the first post in this forum. There are different keymaps you could try out. Google works like a charm to. I'm gonna go for now let me know if you find anything that helps!

Unistall eT9Full soft-reset install TegiceT9 soft-reset...
I don't know your location but i guess your using an American Excailbur since your keymap is in English and wrong..

if you want to take off T9 press ALT then SPACE and select ABC that will take off T9 I had the same problem when I first flashed my phone. Let me know if that works for you.
