I tried unlocking my htc touch with the unlocker in NFSFAN's instructions for WM 6.5.
It does not go past 0%, it simply gives me the 262 error. I have tried this many times, restarting both phone and computer. I don't know what to do. I have the latest ROM from Bell.
Could it be that this phone was unlocked before?
I have tried different usb ports and uninstalling/reinstalling windows mobile device center.
I use vista.
NVM, didnt realize there was a batch file you had to run instead. Its in the same folder.

I need some help!
After days of tearing my hair out and swearing a lot, I have managed to get my i780 to connect to the PC (the data cable was at fault and kept causing 'unrecognised USB device' errors).
I have followed the official Samsung update, i.e. installed the modem drivers and then run the update. The update has worked fine on the PDA part of the phone, but has failed on the phone part and the phone just alternates between flight mode and invalid SIM.
I have tried to re-flash the phone with the same result, it failed on the phone part again. I have uninstalled and re-installed the modem drivers and WMDC (I'm using Vista) but the update will still not complete the phone part.
Is there any way to flash the phone part again so that it works?
Please help! I love the new threaded texts and the new opera browser and most of all the fact that wifi now works properly! For some reason the phone worked for an hour or so and now has stopped working.
Thanks,
A
Try to upgarde on from another PC. And dont forget to install Modem drivers before flashing.
I advice to upgarde onder XP or Win7.
Or try this if you already dont.

Maybe is not your operating system since other users have reported it's working fine with them look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=599140
Maybe you are missing something when you flash are you running the autobat file?
Are you unzipping the ROM and files runnin autobat as gmaniac2008 already states, if not then maybe this is the answer to your problem..
Flashin: Error 270 Stuck at 3%:
i have just re-flashed my phone using Windows 7 no problems.
The only problem I had flashing with Win7 is when the screen turns white the USB connection disconnects and then connects back up with a different device. If its the first time flashing then it has to download and install the drivers for that other device. Which it does all automatically just fine. I got to the point where it tries to flash before that driver had finished installing and it came up with some error. But I tried it again and it worked perfectly. That is the only difference I have seen with from flashing with xp and win7.
did you run the sda unlocker app?
Tried flashing OS on my 9100. To WM 6.5. Flash to 6.1 looked OK. Tot 6.5 i had a crash half way through. IPL 2.18 and SPL 2.18
Can still get into bootloader. Have a Win7 PC. tried access with MTTY. No go. Can't find USB . Tried reboot device. No go. It DOES say USB left lower corner after connection. Can hear sound connecting. Tried reboot pc. No go. Tried compatibility settings XP and Vista. Nog go. Looks lik it can't find de USB port. "USB port can't open"
Booting device normally results in free in bootscreen.
Even tried XP in VM ware. Same problem.
Downloaded a ton of tools. None of them seem to work.
At the end of my possibilities.
Is there anybody out ther that has a brilliant suggestion?
Thanks in advance!
Hi all. I hope you can offer some tips. I've been trying to flash my Touch Diamond today - followed all of the steps from the relevant thread to the letter - bootloader flashed fine, but radio and ROM have refused to. Progress bar appears on the screens of both PC and phone, but sticks at 0%, and after a few minutes times out with error 260 or 262, depending on whether I'm flashing the radio of ROM file.
Could this be a USB driver issue? I'm running Win7 on a netbook. ActiveSync is running. Have also tried swapping USB ports, as well as running the flasher as admin and in compatibility modes for WinXP SP2 and 3.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
just it's not unlock, and winXp better for avoid problems

by activesync you mean mobile device center, right? active sync won't install on Vista or Win7
also, after unlocking, hard-SPLing, MTTYing, and all the rest of it, flash from internal storage.
Okay, I have the M9 through at&t with Software number 1.32.502.9 running Android 5.0.2. I'm stock, unrooted, S-On, locked bootloader.
So, I tried for the past two weeks to get the OTA for my phone and it's always the same thing...No Updates Are Available. Still to this moment, same thing. Did they actually push it out for AT&T?
I resolved to do the manual update with the RUU on HTC's website. On my 64 bit Windows 8.1 PC configured with HTC Sync, factory cable, correct drivers, correct ADB/Fastboot, antivirus/firewalls disabled, salt over right shoulder, seven hail mary's said, NOTHING FREAKING WORKS. I tried installing some C++ thing and it didn't work either. I've done registry hacks...NOTHING. Installscript runs, and then quits. I've watched taskmanager to see if the process is hung up, but after running for two minutes, the process quits and nothing happens. I've run the RUU as admin and not with the same results.
I've done all of the above on a windows 7 32 bit system and a windows 7 64 bit system all with the same results. I've talked to HTC chat people and they can't figure it out. Seriously folks, WTF and I doing wrong?
I WAS able to extract rom.zip out of the RUU on a 32 bit windows 7 machine but there was some failed error message when I tried to flash using the fastboot oem flash rom.zip command.
What country are you in?
USA. I finally got it but I don't know how or why.
