Hi Folks,
Is there a way to change the slide sound to my own one?
I have some really nice slide-sounds, but how can i use them? I searched my phone for wma, wav, mp3, but nothing simular...
hope you got the answers...
An old squeaky hinge would be my choice
Would love to know this too although I've fallen in love with the Mechanical sound
Let us here know if you find out that info and don't forget to share your sounds
I've got some sounds from the Editor of Unreal Tournament GOTY. When i have time for it, i will post them here, and try to figger out the way to apply them.
theres a few million posts in the kaiser forums and i posted the best pack icould find previously in the rhodium genral. To set the sounds go to settings>personal>keyboard sliding sounds
to make custom ones you need an open and shut sound and it's a registry key addition .. 5 seconds using the search will get you it.
As a reply to magius,
do you mean this one?

I searched the forum before i started this thread, but i think i used wrong keywords...
thanks, i will try it at home!
Yeah sorry am at work so forum browsing is a bit slow.
It should be noted there are a LOT of cab files floating around with sounds for keyboard sliding in most cases if these don't work all you need to do is change the numbering in the registry.
@ magius00
Sweet!
In the StarCraft editor are also a lot of cool open/closing door sounds.
I like the electronic sounds.
i will look for it this day, and i upload the sounds when i have time.

Ok, i dont know about anyone else but im getting fed up with the standard ringtones, message tones, notifications etc etc.
This can be the thread where we all contribute to getting everyone some decent sounds on there Hermes!
Feel free to add any sounds for any purpose, im sure someone will appriciate yours!
LoL.. I see you hooked up on rings..
Well.. here I will share mine.. I got a lot more but those can`t be shared since they are commercial..
But the free ones I collected are here..
There is a folder named "Made by Shamanix".. in there are rings that I`ve made out of couple of songs that I like very much ( music that I personally listen to )
They are kinda little too big ( only 2 of them ), but I am not in the mood to edit them now..
Tell me what you think

Enjoy..
Theres some good ones in there matey! The msg one is good but a bit long lol.
Started the thread well!
nice thread... err... i will find some nice ones too and post it here
Here's a little something...
...I put together a while back. It is also a bit large, but it works as a ringtone, and also as an alarm from within PhoneAlarm (where I use it to let me know when my train has arrived at my station).
It is a small clip from the Dark Side of the Moon Album by Pink Floyd ... many of you might remember the bells/clocks sequence just before the song "Time".
That album was always one of my favs, and as such, I clipped this out to use as an alarm.
Hopefully, I'm not breaking any copyright laws by posting it here. If I am, PLEASE Mods, go ahead and delete it.

I like the Nokia dead one.
But does anyone have the same concept but for a regular old school telephone ring?
Anybody back up their WM5 rings?
I'm missing some of the stock WM5 rings (like "fantasy" which I used for phone calls). Maybe someone out there backed up their WM5 files? Or can somehow upload some of the stock from their prior build?
The Windows Mobile Extras site has some free ones that are alright. I use the Halo theme from there. It's much fun.
here some i made for me and the wifey..about 30 of them. Also included 2 message tones: Homer "mail call" and star trek's "incoming transmission

Rename to .wma for the 24 CTU ringtone

But I could do with some basic rings too
hi
i use my audiomanager every day(the plugin in touchflo3d) and i have around 600 songs . Scrolling to the ones at the bottom isn't fun and is a pain in the but. it would be great if someone could fix that problem! i would do it myself except I'm no good with making stuff like that.
YES this is really GOOD IDEA i listen music everyday also and litle app like this will be very usefull for all peoples who Use often Music.
Hope someone to make this
it shouldnt b 2 hard i hope...all that i have in mind is a slider similar if not exactly the same to the one in the contacts app. some1 jst needs 2 port it 2 the music tab
any ideas?
still nothing? is it so hard?
i mean this would be VERY useful!
Make It Please!
Since no developers are paying attention to this post,
ill post it in development and hacking general forum!
I think it's a great idea!
Hi,
Does any one know if it is possible to add a search bar for music like the phone number one? Is it only, or when I wahnt to find a music/Album/artist and have to scroll up and down 1000 mp3's. For me this would very usefull.
Thanks
john_john
yep i agree with u
I googled all around and found it no where
so will any one plzzz help me to solve this problem out????????
+1
i Also Need It !
I can't believe this hasn't already been implemented, it was the same with the cities for the weather but that was sorted out pretty quick.
I also struggle finding specific music as most of my 16gb card contains mp3's.
I think that it isn't dificult for cooks, probably just get the bar and get it to search for the title/album or whatever. Mabe the problem is getting the media player to read the tag info from all the mp3s, so when you press the letter in the different tabs Artist/Album/Song it gets the right one. but if they apear alphabetacly already it shouldn't be difficult. but this is from a guy that depends on the good wil of others. but still, it would be nice.
Nice cooking,
I think this is a great suggestion.
Having the same layout as in the contact list (with search bar and alphabet list) would be a nice improvement to the music library.
And even better, would be check mark options under the search bar (or under Menu) to place check marks on what the search should include... artist, album, songs, etc.
Cmon Developers show urs xperience
It is a callenge for you
i think its possible as this site and developers are concerned

After searching for hours looking for the answers I need, I am asking for help. I am using a stock Tilt2 ROM, and want to change the Internet page from att.net to something else, and can't remember how.
And how can I edit my library in WMP to just show songs and not all the other sounds on my card, or clear the library completely for that matter, ooooooooorrrrrrrrr point WMP to a specific folder, MUSIC on my card
Oh and can i change highlight color in tf3d from blue to whatever or transparent highlight.
Thanks yall
Dude, I'm the first person to wince when someone says "use the search tool," 'cause I think it's more helpful and not too much trouble to just post the friggin answer... but this one's on page 1. And I should know, 'cause I just used it myself and said thanks there!

The good news is that it's easy as pie.
As for your music library, sorry man, can't help you with that - haven't gotten that far with my phone yet.
Enjoy!

Ok that wasn't there last night, I swear. Then again looking at 2 o'clock am might have not been a good idea either.
Thank you.
LOL No prob man. Glad to help.
I didnt see a thread so i just thought i would let people who did already know that ChevronWP7 released their Custom Ringtone Manager Today
you can Find It Here http://www.chevronwp7.com/
lol i was just coming on too see if anyone posted it, Just checked the site before bed randomly and saw that
Whay
Wow...it's a ghost town here. This is big news people!
That's gonna be really really amazing.
THX!
Tried it like 2 mins after they posted it up on twitter and it worked perfect. If there's any Fringe fans out there you may like the attached ringtone. I grabbed it from a rom I downloaded a while back and converted for use on WP7.
Oh my...I still wasn't able to unlock my Omnia7 with chevron-application. Always getting the USB error.
But I'd really like to have my custom ringtones
This works for me. Just dandy!!
For those who like Indiana Jones... 2 different tunes
Basic ringtone
Here is a basic ringtone. No Fur Elise, no Lady Gaga.... Just...
bleeleeleeleep .... bleeleeleeleep .... bleeleeleeleep ....
Was it sooooo much to ask for, that the phone come stock with an absolutely boring, non-personality ringtone?
Only problem I'm having is finding a converter to make them MWV
here you go , its 100% free and worked real well.
You can use (free) Microsoft Expression Encoder.

I tried this one but it isn't one for noob's ( I am that noob and I didn't understand a F*** of it )
Does the ringtone manager allow you to set your own alarm sounds / sms tones too?
No, only ringtones.
And you can only add new ringtones, not modify or delete existing.

Thx I'm gonna give it a try when I get home
Also, I think Microsoft Expression Encoder is free. You can convert.... almost anything to well... almost anything. Definitely to 48Khz WMA.
the ringtone it work.. well i added 5 personal ringtone
Just thought I'd throw this out there for anyone that think otherwise...if you add 5 ringtones through the XAP and then reload an additional 5 ringtones it won't replace the ringtones, you'll get the other 5 (or more) in addition. Don't know if anyone was curious, but I was so I experimented with it.
Seeing how MS blocked/demanded they remove their other hacks, maybe someone should put a backup location for this app, just in case.

It doesn't have to be 48khz. I've loaded a few 44.1khz wmas and Chris Walsh himself acknowledged that 44.1 khz works as well in the comments.
