Hi I wanted to know if there was a WM6 Rom that existed for a NON Phone edition Pocket PC jus a standard Pocket PC.
I own a Pocket Loox C550, and am interested in upgrading it to WM6.
You may ask why, I love it's slim & compact casing. I use wi-fi hotspots alot and the TrueVGA is great for viewing websites but would like the ability to be able to read html emails.
Is there a way a rom can be constructed or is this a impossible task?

Anyways i have a desay m9(from china) with wm5 (smart phone) os5.1.478 (build 15706.3.5.2) I thought it was a Normal windows mobile 5. My phone has touch screen and an xscale pxa270 312mhz processor.
I was wondering if there is ANY way of upgrading to a real wm5 os thats not a smart phone edition?? or even better upgrading to wm6?? Or is there any way to emulate a real wm5 or6?? I dont like wm5 smartphone edition. Its too limitted and i cant install verytghing thats wm5 supported. I have very lil knowledge of wm. If there is anything that can help it would be great. You see i cant send any messages because the abc on my phone is in chinese and not handy at all. I know the real wm5 has atleast a virtual keyboard. Can any please help me or guide me to alternative solution>>?? eg: Some kind of writing software that works with sms's or some kind of wm6 emulator that i can launch on my phone? Or some kind of way to hack it?? Please anythin.

No, you cant upgrade your smartphone to windows mobile 5.0 pocket pc edition, or to windows mobile 6.0.
But you can install windows mobile pocket pc application on windows mobile smartphone edition.

If you insist to use WM instead of SP, go port the ROM yourself (and figure out how to flash the image yourself).

Hello, Sorry for another one of these best rom threads....
I've been using my Orbit for over a year and I decided it's about time to reset the machine since its acting a bit slow ( it's running the O2 UK official WM6 rom)....Now I want to play around with it by flashing with a new 6.1 rom...but I don't have time to try all of them on this forum though.
Which rom is the most stable + has the most memory after reboot? The fancy touch cube/HTC apps is not a must as they are too fancy for me--the only feature I want is the threaded sms which comes standard with 6.1.
In other words, I need a rom that runs fast and take up minimal space.
I also need quick GPS to work properly

YuE extraclean v11.3 have one problem on my arte110 (T-Mobile MDA Compact III) that when ever i enable mouse mode , pointer disappears on click and i have to disable and enable again to get it on screen but same cycle again.

Stable of all the 6.5 Versions
This version looks to be more stable off all the other 3 versions of 6.5.
Keyboard is Very Pathetic. I liked the Keyboard used by Achilles.
And camera version is older version that Achilles ROM.
Also the Media Players Plays each song for 40secs Only then jumPs to next song.
Need to Edit registry for running the Audio Manager when Screen Is off.
Battery Drains of very Fast. Not even one day......

hi i have to say nice rom i had to overclock mine to 273 then it run sweet as a nut but the sim manager needs seeing to as when i wanted to put my contacts from sim to phone it only seen afew of them so i tryed to refresh and then it comes up with mobile error everytime please sort this out thanks i think this rom is very good just alittle bug thanks for the work

I'm flashing this rom. did you take out your sim card and TF card of your phone?
no. i never did that when flashing.

not to tick you off,
but i for sure am an old artemis freak, even having tried an iphone 2g the last week, I honestly have to say meschles vanilla 4.02 is the one and only fast, stable and simply usable rom i have tried upto now - all m2d roms are sluggish in comparison- espacially when runnung tomtom7, all wm 6.5 rom-regardless of the radio rom used- drain my p330 within 2days, where under vanilla4.02 i run a solid 7 days routine...
so as i posted in my plea-thread-- any bare 6.5 rom upto beating 4.02?

This Rom has lovely looking menus and window effects, but this contributes to heavy use of RAM and some slow-downs. Unfortunately, changing a theme seemed to lose these lovely menus.
The Titanium plugin works well, particularly with a changed background.
A good keyboard and dialler.
Shame about the old camera.
Lovely Icons.
The Honeycomb programs selector will take some getting used to, if it does become the Standard.
This could have been a contender to DJ M2D WM6.5 5.0 UL if it wasn't for RAM issues and slow-downs.

what Includes this ROM?
RS is kinna hssle here, looking for mirrors, plz.
Can anyone give me a link for any good rom for this Hewlett packard ipaq rx5710 rom if there is any. It have instaled Windows Mobile 5.0 and i couldnt find anything. I have also Qtek 9100 which i have already Upgrade to wm 6.5 i think. All i need now is something to update the rom of this.

P.S. Also like i saw everywhere it have Wireless but i see at the screen Ipaq Wireless only Bluetooth and GPS there is not WLAN Icon :|
