I know this phone is terrific in every way but...
will this be able to smoothly emulate the Gameboy Advance? My iPhone can only do it at half speed and its unbearable.

is where the emulator is at, if someone could let me know how well it runs I'd be thrilled!
Thanks!

Hi folks,
Anyone else been playing Gameloft's Assassin's Creed? I'm stuck in the game and I wonder if I could get some help? How the heck can I make the jump in the attached screen shot? I can't get passed this, I just plummet to my death all the time Is there another path? Is there a move I'm not aware of?
Cheers
Eehm... I played that game on ipod touch before I got my desire.. Was stuck in the very same place.. Just jump the way the arrow tells you, it is somewhat hard to time, but it is as far as I am aware, the only way.
Thanks, but I must have done that jump 20 times now and I just get smashed Seems like a glitch in the game design to me. I'll keep trying, though. Should I run and then jump? Or just walk to the edge and jump?
It's because the game doesn't have multitouch like the iPhone version. So you cant hold run and press jump.
Uninstall it.

It's not a free game, so I'd rather not uninstall it. And there is indeed multi-touch support, since I can run and do various sorts of jumps at the same time. I wonder if the team behind the Android version of the game actually have tried to do that damn jump themselves...
I am so sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, but I was wanting to know if the HTC EVO could run SNES,GBA,GBC,Nes emus on TV via its HDMI out. Is such a thing even possible, or will it be possible in the future?
not yet, maybe later
no but i hear some people are working on mirroring ever thing on the phone so it should be done soon.
I dream of the day when I can play emulator games on my HDTV. I want to show my son the games I grew up with and why they are better than half the crap being sold today.
On a side note: GET OFF MY LAWN!!!

Any of the emulators give you that option... you can find atari all the way to nintendo ds emulators. Can't post those here since they're considered warez
Yup but plays like crap with the keyboard for me. It doesn't feel right when trying to push two keys at once. Like in Mario 3 in order to fly you have to run then jump..yea doesn't work so good lol

i guess... I dont know. how is that different that a regular nes controller? you have to press a and b to run and fly. plus, you can map a button for a+b combo. thats what I do its way better than on screen controls. I doubt, I'll ever get used to touch screen only phones and I'm guessing the MT4G slide will be the last one. I've tried swype and all that stuff. its okay but I'd rather have a real qwerty kb.
I've been playing roms for 2 years now on phone keyboards. Beaten over 50 games and put tons of hours into them. It just takes some getting used to. Its a freaking breeze for me. Even action games.

Ok remapping for ab combo sounds good I'll try that out analog on n64oid practically requires on screen controls lol
Check out the Game Gripper, it works perfectly on my G2.

I remember seeing this thread a while ago.
Today I came over this pretty cool game. The developer doen't advertise the game as supporting h/w keyboard but when I opened the app for the first time I got prompted to set up h/w controls and it works a treat

These are 2 very different phones, it all depends on whether you prefer iOS or Android, then it'd be easy to pick which phone. Another thing being on the Epic forums, you can expect to get biased responses leaning towards the Epic (what do you expect, its the phone we all most likely use and love).
With that said, to answer your question the response is pretty smooth, I rarely get lag (but I won't deny that it does occur every now and then). Opening tons of apps and having them all active usually causes this, but if you take things slow and only use 2-3 apps at a time, everything will run smoothly. The phone is great, very smooth, great battery life, signal doesn't break, data is slow (Sprint is to blame for this, I think the same can be said about Boost). I personally love this phone and don't plan on moving onto something else for a long while to come, it is definitely something I can stick with for the next year+.
I agree with TPizzle. It is really more about which software you prefer. I think if you just want a phone that works and you don't want to tinker with it the iPhone is great. But if you like getting the most out of the os and enjoy getting down and dirty with your phone Android is the way to go. I have both phones. iPhone for work and Epic for personal. I wouldn't carry an iPhone for personal use. I find it boring and unexciting. I love Android as an OS and wouldn't have anything else.

I always wanted the epic since it came out. Some one gave me an I phone so i switched from boost to tmobile pre paid. The internet is 4 g for a certain amount of gs then it drops to 2 g. Thats Y i wanna switch back to boost.I had a htc touch pro 2 on boost and I loved it. Then it broke and I got stuck with a ****ty juno phone... But I gotta admit ,a jailbroken Iphone with cydia can really be modded with alot of stuff , How slow is the internet on Sprint? I heard Boost is 4 g now, but I also heard in august there gonna stop pic messages is this true?
Cydia seems like a saving grace on the iPhone because you have absolutely no options without it but if you look at cydia in comparison to Android it pales in comparison...what you achieve with cydia on an iPhone you can achieve with an app on Android.

I made a game for the Fire OS. It is a new version of the old Snake game from way long ago.
If you feel like checking it out, I bet you cannot beat level 15. I made the darn game and it kicks my a$$. I still haven't beat it..
