Calculator and Texteditor

hello guys,
I have installed a naked ROM, and I would like to know a good calculator for Wm6 and a text editor with functions like Microsoft Word...
can you help me?

A good calculator is the 1_calc Lite which is free. You can search around to see if you can find the cab.
As for a good word processor, WM Word is free with WM 6.

use free42 calculator, it is skinnable and is an emulator of a hp reverse polish notation calculator. it also supports print functions and runs stored programs. it is available from sourceforge.

Nice app, but as far as I know from Hermes comunity, sometimes is froze devices. I think that there is a confllict with the HTC built in lock.
Just my 2 cents.

Looking for WM 6.1 standard dialer skins

Hi..
I´ve installed PocketShield and works fine in my HD. They recommend enable standard Windows 6.1 dialer due delay response in incoming calls and others problems with HTC dialer skin. I´d like to find some skins for standard WM 6.1 dialer. I´ve searched in forum but only find HTC HD skins dialers, not standard. Any idea?

Look at this registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin
and set "Enabled" from "1" to "0".

I know this tweak, thanks. I only want or request to change default standard dialer skin (functional but ugly) ..
We can change default dialer from PocketShield directly without entering in registry. No problem.

Yeah...problem is in resolution of them (VGA max). I´ll try to learn more about creation of WVGA skins from VGA..

[APP][VGA][UPDATED 04/10/2009] Wattpad Reader for PPC

I am thinking about scrapping this. I am getting little to no feedback for this app and i really don't know if this is compatible with other devices except my own (an HTC Diamond ).
Description: This is a Beta application and it's my first. It's a full functional port of the java ebook reader available for download at wattpad.com.
I have tested it on my HTC Diamond and it seams to work well doh, i expect a lot of bugs from other devices ( didn't plan to release it ).
NETCF 3.5 is required!

*Supports custom readers ( allreader+, etc )
*Supports saving books on Internal Storage ( useful if you have a small memory diamond )

This is just a book downloader. It uses Office Mobile or other custom reader to show the books. The downloaded books are .txt at base.

I will try. My device is VGA and the emulator doesn't work on Windows 7. I will try to think of a way.

Good work so far. Can anyone suggest a nice fingerfriendly reader to open the .ebk files? Pocket word does not finger scroll, which makes reading that way a bit tedious.
can i rename the file type and use it in adobe pdf or something?

gonna try it now - there is a strong need for a prog like this - if you could skin it to match tf3d then you'd have a real winner + kinetic scroll! - what about the file compatibility options?

I wouldn't mind testing this and providing feedback. However, I don't have a vga device. I own a HTC TyTN II.

I have Xperia X1 I'll try this app out.... already using quite a cool app called Vade Mecum to read .pdb files. Got a desktop app that turns web pages into .pdb - useful for project gutenburg and so on. As you can see there's been no work on that for a few years now.
The Xperia is WVGA of course, so we'll see how it goes.
Just mentioning some of the features Vade Mecum has that I like: assign quadrants of the screen to pull down menu, page up, page down etc. Like invisible buttons.
That's kind of it really I guess lol.

i tested it on a blackstone with energyrom wm6.5 and installed it on device.
the first page where you listed the books doesn't load fullscreen, but the settings window works just fine. I don't know how to make a screenshot so if you pm me how to do that I will send you the screen.
I can change language but the icon says "gr" when I select "Dutch".
How can I go to " online mode" ? My data connection is online but i still get the message "can't search, offline modus"..

Unoffical wm 6.5 on i780 is also illiegal.
From other side SPB mobile shell is too big to place it in together with manilla 2D! If I say I want Igo 8.3 in?

I would like S2U2 to be included as well in the list!

looks much better than default titanium

There's no point in including software that updates on a regular basis (eg. S2U2) and/or is too big or dependable on preferences (eg. Spb or Manila). Those should be left out as extras.
ROM needs lots of small applications that are harder to find but very useful and device-specific (eg. Notif Blinker or chgFingerMouse). Later on, one can install GUI according to his/her personal preferences (Spb Mobile Shell, Winterface, Panoramic Launchpad or whatever).
