Hi,
I switched from the DOPOD rom to the official HTC Europe rom.
When I did so, I found out that the HTC rom didn't have the YOU GOT MESSAGE ringtone when you receive an SMS.
Could someone please "rip" it from the DOPOD rom and upload it somewhere for me?
If I do have it, in which folder do I paste it on my phone so I can select it?
And another question, is it possible to find the "black theme" somewhere?
Thank you very very much for your time

Can't imagine why you would want it.
Every time I hear it I want to punch whoever made it.
"You got inability to speak English!"

LOL, my thougts exactly. Deleted it as soon as I heard it.
I just converted the "You've Got Mail" one from AOL and used that for awhile until it annoyed to damn near insanity. It's not worth it.
I think its her voice she sounds realy sexy....
I like the originals not the dopod ones, tho the combinations make for a full compliment for different messages (messenger. text, mms, and email)
so I have you've got mail (oroiginal), have email, have message, and you have a message. the variants cover the 4 options with slightly different accentuations.
but how would u install that ring for sms? the tytn u cant use your own sms rings right

Thank you Edward .
I'm running into a problem though.. Sometimes when I receive an SMS I don't hear the ringtone, my phone doesn't vibrate and the light doesn't go orange.
Any idea what might go wrong. Is it because of the MP3 ringtone?
Is .wav better?

Thanks for the Tones.
As you can tell by my newbness/post count, I'm new here. Over the past months I have been researching and watching the xda forum and have concluded that this is a great place for information and discussion!
But I have a quick question.. I've searched for this already, but I have found no luck on the issue. For the S2u2 ver 0.98, I have been trying to figure out how to change the ringtone when people call my hermes (8525) when S2u2 is running. Does anyone know how to change this? I know i probably need to edit something in the reg. but i can't find out where it is on my phone or how to do it. =/ I'm kinda new to the whole ppc registry gig.
Can anyone help?
If you can help i would appreciate it, and it's great to be here! TK!
I just change my ringtone under sounds and notifications
Hey, thanks for the reply. I'll try installing it again to make sure I had my ring tone setting and will post back if anything changes.
haha it works now >.< I had the old version installed
I just got a htc Excalibur and i am looking for an mp3 editor to make ring tones any ideas???

Try the HTC MP3 Trimmer, you can do them directly on your phone, all you do is open a music file with it (mp3 format only) edit it and you copy it to the ringtone folder. Here's the link for the cab. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2254414&postcount=176
Thank you VEry much!!! (sorry It took me a little Wyle to reply)

Hello dear XDA
Well after finding a Lockscreen and a HTC Hub modifiing thread, i think we need a ringtone and sound thread as well to place all important info, sounds and ringers.
If there is already one, which i haven't found yet, mods, please merge.
Here are some Notification sounds i would like to share.
Big respect and thanx go to Tomal and eelco_akker for making them availiable.
Before coming to WP7, i was still using my trusty rusty HTC Universal. Thanx to the fantastic work of Tomal and friends, It was still very usable with Windows Mobile 6.1 or 6.5.
great device!
Now with chevron 7 ringtone manager we can customize sounds as well as ringtones on Windows Phone 7.
Just name the Alarm sound of your choise to Alarm-01 though Alarm-10 depending on which one you would like to replace (more here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=938106)
for SMS and Email notifications its Alert-01 through Alert-10.
Just remember, its not possible as of yet to add sounds and notifications. Its possible however to replace existing ones!
Be sure to replace the ones you really don't want! Alternatively, after finding the ones you would like to replace in Windows dir., copy them to my documents/ringtones.
that way you can keep them, and copy them back to Windows dir if needed.
I have tested all this with attached Notification sounds, and it works great.
Importante Note! Alert and Alarm files MUST be converted to .wma format as requested by Chevron Ringtone Manager!
Ringtones work as mp3 apparently.
Try it out and post yours
thanks i can get some inspiration from it
does anybody have the wp7 lock screen and unlock sounds?
thanks
