Hi all,
I have a basic question: I ordered an HTC diamond in german language. I had to do so cause my provider only would ship german/italian/french devices. My wish though is to have the HTC diamond running in English.
Will a ROM change install dem WM 6.1 in English too (meaning a ROM includes the OS + all apps) or is there any other way to have WM 6.1 in english instead of german?

yeah, i would like to now that too. there are so many roms with ger in the extension, but noone describes how to change the language. I managed to change the language of touchflo into german, but thats all. Help is appreciated
If you want an english ROM, choose a WWE one, stock or custom.

Well my problem is a bit more complicated, in fact it's the other way around. I have a WWE ROM installed, but I want my textmessaging to be with a danish dictionary? Is it possible to do this? Or do I have to add all danish word and miss the 3 danish specialities?

Search for '14 languages' cab file, it's easy. Just a reg setting.

Yea, I've already found it. But I can't figure out how to install it? I've tried to put the .cab file into Internal Storage > My documents > My files (created folder). Then I've installed it and done a softreset. Nothings happens?

Hi, can any body provide me with detailed steps how to install english language.
I have downloaded RUU_Signed_DiamProject_V2_5.2.19965_Lite_WWE, but when I try to install the phone gets stuck in 0% and dosent go further
is there any patch that I should install befor running the install file or what els should I do couse I am really stuck with danish language

Yes I am trying to do that with RUU_Signed_DiamProject_V2_5.2.19965_Lite_WWE, but when install starts it gets stuck in 0%, and dosent go further

Pls. Help, I'm a newbie here! could you show me a step by step procedure on how to change my HTC Diamond ROM. bec. I bought a HTC set in Taiwan and some of its features and settings are in Chinese I want it in English. I read that I need to change my rom to do this. could you show me how? Thanks a lot!

here the GERMAN version of TouchOff.
maybe somebody can make a multi language CAB File for it.
(because on german version there is:
GER -> \Programme\Startmenü\Programme
ENG -> \Program Files\Start menu\Programs
GER -> \Programme\TouchOff
ENG -> \Program Files\TouchOff
+ modifiing the link for
\Windows\Long_Power.lnk which link to -> \Programme\TouchOff\TouchOff.exe
anyway - for now this is the version for "German" ROM images...

I need some help.
In hope to solve my HTCUtil.dll problem when i am trying to shutdown htc touch whit THOUCHOFF software, I installed above cab.
It still did not solve my problem so any sugestions are welcome.
The eroor is:
Can't find Pinvolke DLL 'HTCUtil.dll.
Sombody know the solution for this error?
And mayby the link to english touchoff to turn my language back?
I've flashed the Energy Rom "Leo" (WM 6.5.1 Manila 2.5), and therefore loost the standard Portuguese T9 dictionary that was build on my HTC.
Is there any way to fix this ?
Been reading through the forum and found no info that applies to the Energy Rom (don't know if this is a Rom specific issue or a Manila 2.5 issue)

Seams that no one has the same problem, so i guess i will have to live without the PT dictionaries on my phone... that's a crap
Maryone has a ROM in portuguese. And with this ROM there is the XT9 Portuguese input.
Meybe we can exctract this dictionary from thar ROM, but how???

Hi,
Install the cab in post 5.
Start a new message, go to keyboard settings, and change language to the one you want.
Set the Text input settings as you like, and then it's working.

but now i've a new problem -.-
if I enable XT9 now the keyboard became useless... none of the letters I press appear on the screen...
After have installed the cab the only thing i've done is to set language to italian in HD Tweak Info --> Language
what could be happened?
I've solved this problem by installing Fingerkeyboard.
Then it works fine.

Confirmed.
As long as I try to use dictionary, nothing is entered. none of any character.
Worse is, that cab cannot be uninstalled.
yap...(this CAB IT OOOOOOFFF) i have the same problem.... how can this be solved ? i need the portuguese XT9... but i cant get this to work.... any solution ??????????
See if this file helps. It can be uninstalled if not.

I'm using the cab below,download and instal, it works great on XannytechRom wwe,IooDa ptg rom and in MaryOne wwe rom,on flashmore wwe rom don't work.on others roms I haven't try.hope it helps

This cab works on Energy ROM 26 feb and makes my portuguese keyboard avaiable and functional! It has also other languages. I adivse making a backup before installing.

Hi I have an ATT Tilt 2 and have recently encountered an issue with my virtual (onscreen) keyboard. I am not sure how nor exactly when the issue occurred but my virtual keyboard now has the FRENCH AZERTY keyboard layout rather than the normal QWERTY layout. The layout is now AZERTY :
# A and Q are swapped,
# Z and W are swapped,
# M is moved to the right of L (where colon/semicolon is on a US keyboard), etc.
Most of the characters are in the same place as the ENGLISH keyboard with virtually just the above exceptions.
WHAT I HAVE TRIED:
I have gone to SETTINGS > PERSONAL > INPUT > Input Method (Touch Input) > OPTIONS... button and I see there that the Language is FRENCH!
I have searched and have found no available method to change the LANGUAGE within the SETTINGS.
I have also used ADVANCED CONG. Utilizing the INPUT Selection. However ENGLISH was already the chosen option though the FRENCH LAYOUT is what is portrayed. I have tried changing the language to FRENCH then rebooting - then changing it back to ENGLISH then rebooting again. Nothing has worked.
Again I don't know what changed the layout or exactly when it changed. I believe the last few Software items I downloaded and installed prior to the change are:
DivX Player - SpooNotes -Diamond Tweak - Airscanner Antivirus -Airscanner Scheduler -Wolf's Translator - Irecway RushHour - Photoshop.com Mobile -Writer - and MPlayer .

I am experiencing the same problem with almost the exact same senerio, except I have the Sprint Touch Pro2 with stock Windows 6.1 rom. This keyboard has been bugging me for a week, but i dont want to do a hard reset.

As far as I know you have to change the ROM
yes i know, but it give the newest rom only in wwe and not in german. have somebody an idea how i can change it at my own with a german language file

Myself, for example, is using RRE's 6.5 Rom now, and I installed Chinese font and input. Those stuff works perfect.
sorry but i think you didnt understand me, i have a cooked rom from this page and i want to know as i can switch the language file from these roms (wwe) to a german language file.

I've been trying to install Chinese Fonts and input but ended up hard reset my Tilt2 a few times. Seems all the methods that I've tried messed up the key board. I've tried installing the CE Star and that still messed up the key board.
If your method is stable, would you please point me to the right direction?
do you guys think that changing the language in the "input menu" in advanced config can be successfull in my case --> for example, i've got an AZERTY keyboard (french unbranded rhod100) and i install a wwe rom, so in, english, but i want to be able to write an A by pressing A instead of seeing it put in a Q... dunno if anybody will my idea right, bad english sowwy guys!!?
so the rom stays in english but the input has to correspond to what's printed on my hardware keyboard :S
