Hey, ive done a bit of searching but got no finds only people asking how to move the camera as well. One find did point out that the game doesn't worth with Gsen, or at least not out of the box.
I have a Gsen program for making it act like a dpad but that did not allow me to move the camera either.
Any other ideas? Anyone got it working at all?
try moving the white box in the overall view...
i think there are some arrow keys which you use to move the camera (if i can remember correctly).
Draggin around the white box doesn't work and there are no arrows either :/
any other ideas?
sorry for the late reply my pc was screwed up.
Touch the border of the screen ? or use gpad to emulate dpad, that's what i do for the game call the Quest and it works well. hope it helps.

Gpad config for AOE
Try this config option for gpad:
FOR AGE OF EMPIRES
<ExeName>aoeppc.exe</ExeName>
<CenterY>0</CenterY>
<DeadZoneY>10</DeadZoneY>
<DeadZoneX>10</DeadZoneX>
<MaxY>40</MaxY>
<MaxX>40</MaxX>
<KeyMethod>SendMessage</KeyMethod>
<MaxKeyTick>1</MaxKeyTick>
<MinKeyTick>10</MinKeyTick>
</Application>
erm, how do i do this? Im unsure how to file. I have the config file on my phone which opens in IE and i have a note pad one. Im presuming changing the note pad one wont do anythin?
:EDIT:
I edited the XML file to add in what you said but now the program doesn't load insteaD :/
I tryed adding "<application> before the text you wrote but taht didn't work either.
:EDIT:
Ahaha! got it working, didn't relise i had to capitalize the A lol. Alas it doesn't work with teh game and appears that when running gpad with the game makes the calibration of the touch go totaly off.
:EDIT:
restarted phone and it worked. Cheers mateĀ¬!

Emulators...
So, are there any working emulators out there for the Dash? I have been lurking on qusers.com and saw that a lot of people have been getting NES, SNES, and GB emulators to work well with their Q but I haven't been able to get it working on the Dash. Any ideas?
http://www.qusers.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=13
I've tried a couple as well, the only one I can get to work is Pocket Nester. The only problem is the resolution looks like crap and I won't work well with the Dash.
I also Tried PocketNester Plus with not luck.
Hi PoNeH,
I also posted to your thread on MoDaCo....
I sort of have AvAlon5's version of smartsnes working on my dash. However, the image does not display properly. The screen is cutoff on the right and wraps around on the left. I've heard this works for the Q, because the Q uses a funky version of GAPI for backwards compatibility with old software.
I've posted a request to AvAlon5, asking to update with support for QVGA landscape like in the dash.
see this thread
http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=243520&st=20&gopid=784084&#entry784084
you can also get his software close to the beginning of the thread.
Perhaps someone here on xda-developers can help with some sort of GAPI wrapper to get programs not designed for landscape displays to work on the dash. anyone???
Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for all your contribution. By the way, how did it run? Was it as responsive as you expected? How were the controls?
besides the display problem, it ran great. i had auto-frameskip on, and it ran at full speed with sound WITHOUT overclocking. controls are as expected for snes, keys are configurable, and multi button press is no problem.
Emulator list and setup
There is a good step-by-step tutorial for setting up the emulators for the Dash located Here. It has a link as well to PicoDrive which is cool. I haven't tested all of them, but PocketNester seems to work well for me.

PocketNester won't display in full screen. It displays "tall" and scrunched, not "wide."

Here are the answers to most of the questions that are asked on this forum:
http://surrealnetworks.com/mpx/DashApps.htm
I use the Pocket NESter Plus all the time with my Dash.
As far as SNES emulation is concerned, I recommend http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1257201 - I've spent quite a lot of time on Masterall's new, Smartphone-compliant SNES emu.
PocketSNES, anyone get this to work?
I downloaded the 1.52 version from modaco... installed the .dll in the first post also...
When I try to open a rom... the screen flashes to black, closes pocketsnes, and returns to file explorer.
http://www.modaco.com/PocketSNES-152-t237589.html
There's the link btw.
Why don't you use PocketNesterPlus?

Only way to make it work is to use Portrait mode.
I do use pocketnester... but that's for NES, not SNES.
It won't let me select "Portrait", i tried that... the only display setting it will move to, is the one already selected Landscape Left? i think.
I try to use the PocketSNES and I've got the same error.
When I load the ROM the screen goes blank and then return to file explorer.
Anyone?
Yea, i got it to work... have to go into the settings, and set it for Portrait... you have to press the RIGHT button to change it to portrait, UP & DOWN doesn't change it... sound didn't work, and the left side of my screen was cut off.
Sorry for bring this problem back again.. but anyone can help me with PocketSnes?
When I load a ROM the screen freeze and I have to close it with Task Manager.
Good luck dude. I tried for about 4 months to get SNES to work on my phone and simply gave up.
Anyone on here using MyMobiler?
I'm using Duttys 1.6 and when I move my mouse onto the phone (rather than using the desktop view), I cant see the mousepointer on the phone. Anyone else have this problem?
It worked OK on my old Orbit but that had a "Mouse" option in settings somwhere.

If you right-click on your PC MyMobile icon and click "Connect" (rather than double-clicking to open the window on your desktop), then change "Mouse Cursor To" from "Disabled" to either "Left" or "Right", when you then move your PC mouse off the "Left" or "Right" of your screen, it should move onto you phone.
It does seem to work (clicking opens menus, runs apps etc), you just cant see your mouse pointer.
Yes, I am using MyMobiler in the same version and it works with no problems. Also after I change from a vogue to the blackstone.
Only the skin-mode doesn't work for me.

i agree there, skin mode doesnt work for me, otherwise it works perfect on my machine
So you both see a mousepointer on your phone?
Hi
I have My Mobiler and I see a mouse pointer on the phone image on the laptop screen.
I have in My Mobiler the option "Mouse cursor to" set to disable. I have never looked at this option before (!!) but it all works fine for me.
I open Mobiler and I have a working mouse that scans across the laptop and onto the image of the phone. On the phone image I'm able to activate various options with the mouse including tap and hold.

HD Skin
Hmm, strange. I see the pointer on my phone occasionally but its very "flickery", I'll try a soft-reset see if that fixes it.
In the mean time, attached is an HD skin I just knocked together.
There's also a Touch HD skin on the MyMobileR forum if you search for mymobiler touch hd skin in Google.

If you want a working skin mode, you can use EveryWAN Remote Support
from Sparus Software.
I am one of the developers and we made it free for all.
WOW! that is genius! MyMobile was flaky at best for me, and was of limited use. Just installed EveryWAN (about 30 mins ago) and haven't stopped playing since! Great tools - esp. the macros. Many thanks for providing this to the community.
The second time I went to use it, my Touch Pro started to "click", and on my PC, I got the error message...
"An unhandled win32 exception occurred in MyMobiler.exe [2772]".

How it works
Hi
1. Get mymobiler up and running.
2. Set (e.g.) mouse cursor to right
3. Close mymobiler BY USING THE "X" BUTTON
4. Move cursor off right hand side of computer screen.
Voila
I could'nt get the latest version of MyMobiler working on my Topaz - installed "EveryWAN Remote Support Personal Edition" - its a breeze - everythings working fine.

i know that why i ask for any one to make a smart program!!!i think that program save the 1st touch then go to the second and x2 the middle kinda complicated
BUT SHOULD WORK
To my knowledge, some apps actually already use this technique. When you press two points on a screen, it takes the coordinates exactly in the middle and "presses" that. It doesn't work with a screen full of buttons though, as there might be another button where the "dummy" press occurs.

Jees. Calm down.
Yeah, you're getting a bit hyped there. Perhaps its time for you to get another phone?
Anyway, there was a GBA emulator around which used that, since you wouldn't be able to press both movement and something else at the same time. I have no idea where it is though - was months ago I saw it.
jea got this GBA prog but never played on touchscreen, opera with multitouch would be very fine, but the display of the xperia x1 is to small for that aktion by using fingers... thats my point of view, but i thougt that the hardkeyboard is to small to type, too. and i was wrong
so it would be a nice gag to get opera browser with multitouch function..

Hi!
Please be careful not to make people crazy about a resistive touchscreen, to become a real multitouch with a piece of software.
A resitive touchscreen like on the Xperia is not like the capacitive ones.
There is simply a physical limit.
Please get yourself a little background about these technologies.
When you press two points on a screen, it takes the coordinates exactly in the middle and "presses" that.

Angelusz is absolutely right. Nothing more nothing less!
With a resisitive touchscreen, you can sample only one "touch" at one moment in time.
It doesn't work with a screen full of buttons though, as there might be another button where the "dummy" press occurs.

I won't doubt that some tricky programmers may use the effect, to get something like a multitouch feeling, but the real UI will never behave like it does e.g. on an iphone.
Please slow down dxdiadora

thnx for the information about multitouch but can u plz think about my idea :
to make a prog that:
1.take your first touch save it while you still thouching it you touch somewhere els and "it presses the middle of them " then if you move your finger then the middle moves and the prog will chek if it is closer to the 1st point that he saved so it zoom in the first point you pressed
i know that it cant be like iphone but plzz can u try this trick?? ill be so pleased
thnxxx for helping anyway
As far as I know. and I am really sure about this.. You cant use Multi touch on the x1. like. never unless you changed the touch panel on the phone it self or something like that.
[EDIT]
You know what?? I've decided to shut up. it's a shame really that op is making such a big deal out of this crap. multitouch on resistive? ok.
now cool down a bit, otherwise You may jizz in Your pants...
problem with your idea is that, it doesnt see the first finger placement, the sensors are in the corners , so it doesn't tell where you press, but the dead center of pressure, and it counts that as one press, not two separate finger positions. That being said, there is no possible way for it to save the first press, because the first press doesn't actually exist
iswish

here is a like to the other omnia 2 game Pangya Golf. I cant get the game to work pat the menu screen, on another thread the guy says it asks for permission on a dll file (in the game cab, needed to make the game work) but i cant seem to get it to work, if anyone can look at the dll and fix it i would appreciate it. game is in korean language.

I have noticed that if u use xperaTweek like me the golf games dll automatically gets accepted. when u get to the menu screen, the problem on the menu screen is that the xperia screen is upside down and this is in this game making all touch points on the screen reversed, bit like running android on the x1, but only the touch points are reversed and not the image.

Me works, but the controls are rotated 180 degrees opposite of the image.
Hey guys. First of all a huge thanks to all of you guys. This forum helped me a whole lot over the last few weeks
so first of all: I work as a professional translator and therefor am looking for a suitable app to properly edit my microsoft Word documents. What i would need is some app which has a dictionary implemented (as add-on maybe) and things like word count, redo, undo, autocorrect...
Anyway i didnt find anything which suited my needs (also tried documents to go full version) but from all the apps ive tried Thinkfree write still seems the most comfortable. My problem now is: Sometimes when i want to edit a document and open the keyboard (i work with swype) I can swype over the keyboard as usual, but instead of putting the word into the document, the keyboard just closes down and doesnt let me open it up anymore. I have to play around a little bit and try different parts of the doc until the keyboard finally works again. Then it seems to work for a few secs and afterwards it shuts down again... Its really rather annoying. I tried a factory reset and a few reboots, but the problem persists.
Does anyone have similar problems? And do you guys maybe know some other very good Microsoft word editing program?
Ok now to my problem with gangstar. Ive tried installing it and everything works fine. Once i actually enter the game the textures arent displayed correctly. I can play and all but i dont quite see where im going and what im doing.
Im a pretty big GTA fan so id really like to try this game^^
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks in advance. You guys rock =D
Swype and ThinkFree
I too have the same problem on my Samsung Vibrant with Swype working intermitantly and closing down in edit mode in thinkfree. Anyone come up with a solution yet?
