this is it. the operating like spiderman for PPC.
is there any news for this game? or under deverloping?
seems quite unusable, since win mobile lacks multitouch support.. anyway it runs smooth wonder if it runs similarly on our blackstone
multi or not multi, thats not a problem. you played spiderman for blackstone? almost the same operating button. play so good.
for me, multitouch definitely matters
it seems that gba emulator on iphone support multitouch,
but with regard to our blackstone,
we can hardly to get gba emulator running smoothly,
it is very often that we get very low fps on morphgear,
and that is when sound turned off,
otherwise gba games are almost unplayable,
and that really disappointing me.......
I don't want to say this, but iphone seems obviously superior to our blackstone, they got bunches of 3rd party 3d games, which are better in graphics and controbability in comparison to wm games,
and I just seen a video on youtube, which shows they got gba running @150 fps and above....
however, the only good thing for me is that we got fpsece for wm device, which seems better to psx4iphone, but since it is not fully support to wvga in current version, we still have to wait untill version 1.0 comes out and see if there is any good update for our device, but it is still unknown.....
btw, someone mentioned that wm 7 will support multitouch for device like blackstone, it that true?
does it means that we could press any buttons for example on morphgear's gamepad simultaneously?
if so, when will wm 7 to be released?
Well about iphone and blackstone
, the main advantage/disadvantage is graphic on blackstone u got 800x480 and that is double quality then iphone, so it same if u run on PC game on 800x600 and run same game 1600x1200 ( wich requires alot performance) and the hardware is almost near, so u need to chose, quality of Graphics , pictures, movies or, game playing on iphone
where can i get this game or spiderman? i have a tg01 and a touch hd, i want it on both phones, please help
if im correct this is actually just a java game (.jar file) which can be played on touch hd!! i had it installed before i flashed my phone!! i have the file saved on my pc although im not sure if im allowed to post it here!!
EDIT: just had a closer look and my version is actually not the same!! although very similar!! sorry...
this game does look rather nice though and i wouldnt mind trying it out!!
crap i want that game the graphics seem to be fantastic
yes java game, and it is not 3d game, no problem on touch hd and it bored
just for clarification, the PoP HD game is a java game, and the level (from what I can tell from the youtube video) is very similar. HOWEVER, the graphics are really really bad (very pixelated and not full screen) and there is an element of lag.
as for WM7 multitouch? WM7 will support multi-touch and capacitive touchscreens..however, ONLY for new devices. As far as I know, it will not turn resistive screens into multitouch-capable ones (mostly due to hardware limitations). Also, rumours are the WM7 will be so "revolutionary" that even our Blackstone hardware may not run it well...so we might be stuck with WM6.5, but I'm sure one of the talented Chefs here will get something going! otherwise, it'd be upgrading time =]
I really hope developers who design apps for the iphone and android will also make stuff for our app store. I've seen many great things from the android market( while many are in my opinion useless ). For example, the emualtor they have for android and iphone run very smooth with sound and all. especially the android ones! Yes we have morphgear and a bunch of others that run smooth...as long as you keep the sound off. Most of the emulators out for winmo havent been updated in who knows how many years! Whats the point if you're playing an rpg game like chrono trigger for example if you have no sound. What apps are you guys hoping to see on the microsoft app store?
Actually similar to what you're saying...
Multimedia, games...
I downloaded a couple of demos today from Microsofts Windows Mobile page...Wow they looked like 8bit Master System graphics...
Not cool...
Honestly thats all we PPC users lack IMO.
i'm very enjoyed play gba in tytn ii! but, the pocket gba on wm 6 is so bad. lag on tytn ii (i dont know if there was a plugin for htc perofrmance. i never found and never try )
so, how was the android? is it lag on the OS it self? and anyone has installed GAMEboid, THE GAMEBOY ADVANCE emolator on android? how is it going? really nice? or better? or bad?
i saw on youtube somebody played with htc dream. so perfect!
thx
sorry my english so bad
I haven't tried GAMEBOID, but I have used Nesoid, Gensoid, and SNESoid. Seeing as it's the same developer, can't image it working any different.
The emulators work perfectly, except that you need to remap the directional buttons, otherwise you can't perform more then 1 action at a time. I use WASD personally.
Considering how bad Genesis and Snes is on Wm 6, I'd definitely switch to Android for all you classic gaming needs. Even Nes is better, cause it sounds better. PocketNester has horrible sound emulation, but Nesoid sounds perfect.

Why don't you just boot up HaRET and try it? It doesn't take long, is simple to do, and then you'd know the answer.
Hell, you could even flash an Android ROM. If you don't like it, it's not hard to go back to WM...

I have tried it running under HaRET using an off-brand class 6 MicroSD and it works great after I set the aspect ratio to "original". However, with TyTN II (Kaiser) the original aspect ratio actually looks great IMO the size is about the same as the screen.
Or is it possible to use games with the physical keyboard?
Only one that I know of is the quake 3 port for android.
Here http://code.google.com/p/kwaak3/
The dev would have to include that functionality in their game unfortunately, nothing we can do on this end. But, you can play Playstation Games using the FPse emulator on the market, and that lets you map buttons to the physical keyboard.
There's an app coming out (out already maybe?) for jailbroken iOS that maps bluetooth controller input to touch regions on the screen.
Basically it takes input from the controller and passes it as if someone had touched the appropriate control area.
Not sure if something similar is doable within the Android system.
Trying to find where I saw this recently, will provide a link to clarify as soon as I do.
E: BAM!

Something like that would solve the issue in question.
This would be cool for emulators. Sometimes its hard to play games with onscreen buttons on emulators for me at least.

Personally, I've found that the Desire Z keyboard isn't ideal for playing emulated games. Better than touch screen for sure, but not ideal.
Bluez-ime + a wiimote is my preferred choice.
Replica island supports keyboard too, can be found on market.
Ozzy's Odessey is controllable with the hardware keyboard. I found the game very enjoyable

Thought of developing something similar hundred times, but there were problems (can't remember which exactly.. Nice to know that if it has been done, it's possible to do it!
INC by OrangePixel is also playable using the keyboard
Turbofly 3D is great to play with the keyboard!
Greetings ivifly
You can use your physical keyboard with emulators. I use it for my snes.
Sent from my T-Mobile HTC G2 using xda premium app
Rooted w/ S-OFF
Current ROM : G2Slim 1.6
Radio : 26.13.04.19_M.
So far I've found:
Cordy,
Spectral Souls (configurable layout, I assume Generation of Chaos does that too),
Zenonia 4 (weird layout but playable).
other games too
Games like gta 3 can also be controlled through an external keyboard.
Sonic the Hedgehog 1 uses WASD and some odd key for jump (I forget which) on my Desire Z. Not really tried many other as I'm not really a gamer.
I just wondering in forum and found that topic.
Very nice physical keyboard working on all rogue like games , angband etc.
The best experiance with physical keyboard.
I find that the Desire Z keyboard is rather nice for gaming. It's just that the keyboard layout isn't parallel like normal keyboards so using WASD is pretty difficult.
games using physical keyboard: Andrio's World, Ozzy's Odyssey Trial

What does that have to do with the statement "It's just that the keyboard layout isn't parallel like normal keyboards"?
There are many many games out there that are playable on the new Atom powered tablets. Mafia 1 for instance looks great, probably better than any sandbox game for tablets.
And there are many more, think of diablo 2 for example.
The problem is, we lack the controls without a keyboard and mouse.
What I have in mind is an overlay control set including mapable keys and directional joysticks, like the ones most Android games come with by default.
Does anybody know if such an app exists? If someone were to make one, I'm sure it would sell like hotcakes provided the vast array of legendary titles windows can boas with.
So far all I have found are Comfort on-screen keyboard and hot virtual keyboard. They're quite expensive but I managed to play Need for Speed 5 and carmageddon TDR
What we need is joystick emulation, to be able to aim, even though without auto aiming, gaming on a tablet can be quite tricky.
Someone make a gummy stickonscreen Bluetooth capable dpad and buttons for our win8 tablets
Thankyou
I've been working on something like this.
It's all in .net, so it runs fine on Windows 8 and Windows RT. I still need to get it loading configs up properly (for customization), but I've got all the hard/tricky parts done.
It doesn't seem to like Quake, but it works great with DosBox.
So where do those keys come from? Are they built in dosbox?

No, it's a program I made. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2142997
