as there are like 10 touch series devices its heard to say.
but ask somone with experience in your phone model and see if they can port the panel manager to your device.
you could try the HTC HD panelmanager port but im guessing you want this on a HTC TOUCH (elf) and thats qvga i belive and ... yeah thats alot smaller screen res.

yeah you can, but I don't know why you would want to use the fish panel as your Today screen rather than TouchFLO 3D.

Hi Xmoo
I don't understand, what do u mean by using the Xperia Camera on the Touch HD , does this mean that there is a replacement software for the HD camera, cos the current camera software on HD is not up to my expectation most comes out blurry despite the settings found here in this great forum pages... I'm sure the camera on the HD is capable of much more given the 5 MP it uses.
Cheers
You state its faster. in what way??? focus?
is there a way of using a soft map to fake the button assignment? surely its looking for ButtonX
Hi all,
I'm @ belgium now.
When I go home I will make a demo video and also share the files here.
I just copied the Camera software from the Xperia and pasted it on the root of my SD card on the Touch HD.
Opend it and it worked (kinda)
can you share that app with us?
i'm getting crazy with the hd camera. it's working outdoor at perfect light conditions, but as soon as you don't have ideal conditions, it's unusable...
It's very interesting... could you share this with us?
thanks!
I've added the cab in post #1.
Just extract it on ur phone, and start the .exe
The screen is very dark. To try and see how fast the cam works.
Point ur phone to laptop/pc monitor or television.
Don't know why it's so dark. Think it's a driver issue or somethin.

Thanks for posting. Re darkness it seems like it is not programmed for the lens position on the HD. When I go close to a screen can see a pinhole lens effect. Could be probably wrong ;-)

It is indeed much faster and more responsive. I wonder if a port is possible?

No didn't see much difference but it's difficult without having any buttons available and just looking at a darkened screen. Hope we will see something come of it. I don't have such expertise or time unfortunately.
Press the volume button.
You will se a menu. But no options

Yes I did see that a grey square. Very frustrating. Do you think it is worth posting in Development and Hacking to find someone more clever than us?
Always worth trying. After all, this may benefit not only to Blackstone.
I renamed the CameraRunner.exe to Camera.exe and copied all files uploaded by xmoo to the Windows folder. When I did that it becomes the main camera for the device and by pressing around on the screen new options appear but still with no text. I somehow did manage to change the camera to video while pressing around on the screen and also managed to make the screen go white for some reason and could see the lens working faintly like when it is black.
Took some poor quality shots of what I got. Can you confirm where the Xperia camera files are located on the Xperia device?
Managed to get the original HTC camera back after overwriting the Xperia one I renamed.
Hi Guys,
I have been looking at the spec list of the HTC HERO and noticed like many that is uses the same chip set as the TP2.....
My 3 questions are:
1. If the HTC Hero can handle multi touch can the Touch Pro 2 do the same ?
2. Is the multi-touch software of hardware driven
3. Does the HTC Hero have a special screen to handle multi touch ??

1. No
2. Hardware
3. Yes. The Hero as a capacitive screen and the TP2 a resistive one, but i don't think it's got anything to do with it.
ONE DAY......and I hope microsoft come out with this FIRST !!!

No, it does not have it and you can not enable it in any way. Give up.
That was referring to the capactive area on HTCs last gen touch devices. Even then, it wasn't really multi touch but just 2 different sensors. It could not sense 2 touches on the same sensor.
Apparently Hero has similar chipset to Diamond, and the Hero has been reported as having a digital compass.... I wonder if the extra hw is present on TP2?!
(sorry couldnt help starting another rumour....

he means the screen like in the omnia..not the panels.
i dont no of a program that does this!!
press x-panels button and make some slidings - panels animation is slow as hell!! and you want smooth screen animation ? )
no, i'm not talking about the panels at all...(eventhoug it really IS slow as hell;-) )!
rotastrain (#3) got it right..when you rotate for instance the omnia screen to landscape, you have a nice animated rotation...this is what i'm looking for:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk1ZF3bcPMo
seeing that, it's probably an application. Do count on slow performance on the X1 (4x more pixels to render), but I guess it's possible to install.
There are threads on other parts of XDA, filled with Omnia applications.
I suggest you find those, see if this is there.

no idea..but at least worth trying..
What I am understanding what you want is a mod or app that Rotates the screen like the Omnia when the accelerometer changes it to landscape from portrait, what you want is something that creates a smooth animation when the X1 keyboard slides open to change to landscape from portrait ?
well I thought it would have been intergrated in the Windows Mobile 6.1 as a custom rom from samsung firmware,
but I guess if its a cab. then it should be possible to add in or it might be possible to intergrate from the Omnia. (Im using Win Mobile 6.5 and It would be nice to have that too ) but since the Omnia has about 620mhz processor compared to 516mhz or 520mhz (what ever the Xperia has) it most likely would experience lag when changing.

You can't hide them and them are on all htc phones(at least wm phones)...
If you don't want them you have to full wipe your rom but you would get a nice weightpaper with the nice Touch Diamond screen and stop
I don't want to look like a dumb here guys but I used to have
Xperia X1, HTC Touch, HTC Tytn II
But I never saw that RGD information on my first two mobile device so I though that could be removed..
Not a big deal. just asking a question

It can only be white, but it COULD bllink according to the songs rythym. It cannot be ported, however, because it depends on a .so file, which can't be ported from device to device.
